It would be more realistic to me and would convince me if you wouldn't have played a song that came out in the last decade, but I watched the new version directed by Frank Oz and I ddin't seem to find it enjoyable except that it had such a 50's/60's kind of theme to it, is this one more enjoyable?

I'm old enough to remember watching this when it first came out as a made-for-tv movie. I would never have imagined years later that it still would have so much appeal, and even add a new term to the English language: "Stepford Wife".

WOW - This trailer makes it look like this is a new movie coming out; with the exception of the retro clothes and hairstyles - LOL! It definitely changes it from the "horror genre" of the 70's.

It's less "scary"....more disturbing and tense. If you mean "scary" as in gory and makes you jump...then no, not really. But it certainly is one of those films that stays with you.

I love this! I just saw the movie for the first time the other night and was prompted to look for clips when I couldn't get the "recipe" line out of my head.
