@joek0617 Statistically speaking most Americans use their SUV's as urban crawlers and not as off road vehicles. Ford has proved that the new Explorer is plenty capable off road, although its not as good as the Jeep Grand Cherokee it features better mpgs and a better ride, things that most Americans favor. Ford still left the Expedition for now and if you think if humans never evolved than where would we be? The Explorer is pointed in the right direction.

@quatlen i'm not saying it should'nt evolve, just that a unibody's the wrong direction, if u want a unibody, go buy a car or minivan, SUV's are for situations where u need 4x4, and for towing, which unibodys suck at, because all they are is sheet metal, whereas a ladder frame provides greater rigidity, which is essential for towing. besides, where i live, unibodys rust out within like 5 years

I agree. I hate this stupid car-based piece of shit. Why are American company's destroying are OWN cars. I have a 2009 explorer and I love it. I need the truck-based off-road capability, and especially the 7,100 Lb towing capability for my boat that I haul. Making our cars smaller is destroying the American style of cars completely.
