@koko56 I used to work at an auto auction. Sometimes a forklift is the only option, though not usually in a parking situation, and often the vehicle is damaged in some way. But the car is certainly not lifted high enough to park in the nearest tree, unless it is to be stored in a rack. It looked to me like that operator didn't even have the forks in the right place, anyway. I'm surprised it didn't drop sooner.

case went to court was in and out for a year but in the end he won due to the owner left the country parked illegal in front of a work site. fork lift driver did all proper mesures to try and remove the car called the cops called the sherif and tow truck driver no one wanted to move it so he did what he had to do and in the courts the fork lift driver was in the rite as it was blocking his work site. and done all mesures before moving it himself

Yep I'm a panel beater and fixed a few of them when they were brand new due to rust. Not good on what is supposedly a prestige car. Shouldn't lift cars with forklifts unless you have fork extensions as it shags the floor up.

It doesnt matter that he dropped it, if anything it gives you the opertunity to get a new out of the builders insurance, however the damage was already done to the car on the underneath. If the move had been successfull you proberly wouldnt have been told about it dispite the damage would cause would decrease the cars handling and in a fast car that means death!

actually the car was parked illegally at a work site and instead of calling a tow company, the construction company decided to move it with a fork truck. The owner of the car had nothign to do with it being placed on the fork lift.

The owner was away on holiday, and he left the car for his sister to use.

The car was parked in the way of some construction workers So they decided to move it by the forklift.

Apparently the forklift driver did a runner afterwards.

This was on the news here.
