  • IT CUT OFF RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MUSIC CRESCENDO! NYAAARGH! But still a great scene.

  • I checked the movie trailer before this video.. and it was awesome, I'm so watching that move " the snow town murders "..

  • the scene right before this is the worst part of the movie in my opinion

  • amo esta escena, gracias por subirla!

  • @lys23ful Estoy muy agradecido contigo

  • john abruzzi the real king!!!

  • I donät understand why she says "and it's a beautiful day"?

  • @skrikon It was a beautiful day. Yeah it was cold, but it was clear and beautiful. I live in a cold part of the country and the fact that it may be -15 with 2' of snow on the ground doesn't mean it can't be a beautiful day. Dress warm and put on your boots! Stay positive, even when other people don't see anything positive. That makes life, and your outlook on it, beautiful.

  • THAT was the best scene??

  • in the end she had a happy life, she was not corrupted by greed

  • good story aka true story , good actors. good music....all i wanna know is where the rest of the money....

  • @nimasha83

    its not a true story

  • @nimasha83 Fargo opens with the following text: THIS IS A TRUE STORY. The events depicted in this film took place in Minnesota in 1987. At the request of the survivors, the names have been changed. Out of respect for the dead, the rest has been told exactly as it occurred.

Although the film itself is completely fictional, the Coen brothers claim that many of the events that take place in the movie were actually based on true events from other cases that they threw together to make 1 story.

  • Brilliant actress well deserved Oscar win too!

  • The actor bears a resemblance to Ben Roethlisberger

  • @MrRibby88

    Ah she so does not

  • @AucklandNZ1 LOL...I meant the guy in the back seat.

  • @MrRibby88

Oh right, that's more like it - yes there is a bit of a resemblance (with the guy in the back seat!) Ha ha!

  • lol beautiful day in north dakota might hit 0

  • Every time I hear "I just don't understand it" my heart breaks a little for Marge who has to be the most moral character in the entire movie. The way she describes the guy's crimes makes me see her viewpoint on all the unnecessary bloodshed that was done in the name of simple money.

  • great movie, but the bestest part for me was before that:

Is that yer buddy yer puttin in the woodchipper dare?

  • His expression is the same as mine every time someone over forty tries to lecture me. Its that 'goddamnijustwanttobashmybrainsoutratherthanhearyouspeak' expression.

  • thats a goodlooking man

  • IS that Aaron Rogers in the back seat?

  • Mrs. Pettigrew!

  • Beautiful Day

  • Indeed, Frances McDormand's character was the only bright spot in that dismal horrible movie. I did love how she said "It's a beautiful day!"

  • Shes so pretty

  • And the oscar goes to....

  • this is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen in my life

  • I swear the first time I saw her I was like "WILLEM DEFOE'S TWIN SISTER?"

  • @Subtitles00 lolololol

  • Great scene... but I think its not just about Grimsud... more about Marge... her own Naivety. She is in her last term of pregnancy... and this is the world she (and her unborn child) is faced with. Her loss of innocence as she is getting close to bringing a brand new innocent into the world. Or something.

  • @bobonze oh I gotta disagree with your police work there. I think Marge is the least naive of all the characters, what she is saying here is truth and she's not afraid to say it! oh yah!

  • @BrendanIsCool oh geez

  • It wasn't about money, it was about narcissistic rage.

  • @cjwright79 I will disagree. I don't know where you found narcissism in his character. I think the coens made him so flat and monotonous so he wouldn't appear narcissistic or overly maniacal.

I feel like the entire movie is supposed to glorify the ordinary crime gone wrong. I don't think it was supposed to add psychological depth to the murders or motives. That's what I found so charming about the movie. Well that and the accents of course.

  • @hellofart16 If you don't see the narcissism in Peter Stormare's character then you probably don't understand narcissism at all.

  • @cjwright79 Well I don't. He has a consistently stoic expression, the movie takes light of his muteness, and he flips out when he doesn't get a bigger reward from steve bushemi (indicating greediness). Where is the self absorbed arrogance in that?

  • @hellofart16 im not gonna debate ya jerry

lol what im trying to say is good post, i agree

now we stop at pancakes house

  • @cjwright79 Grimsrud wasn't a narcissist. He just didn't give a damn about anything else but the money he'd get from the job. And in the end his greed completely took over. He killed his accomplice, who was greedy himself, since he'd buried most of the money in the snow earlier. So it was all about the money.

  • @fiedleraufdemdach I honestly don't think he cared all about the money. He just killed Buscemi because he had disrespected him, or perhaps just out of sheer cruelty. I don't think the money ever really mattered to Grimsrud.

  • @siamesenightmare93 He killed Buscemi because he threatened to rat on Shep. That was the last straw.

  • The morality compass of the movie.

  • Great movie and what an ending

  • She says, "I just don't understand it." Followed by the white-out snowy scene. To me it's a contrast of his criminal mind and heart with her pure heart and mind. The white snow personifies her purity. Beautiful scene and music.

  • @7t8h4z Also the fact that she is about to bring a child into a world like this. If she doesn't understand it... How will she ever be able to explain it to her child or for that fact, protect it from the things that idiots will do for a little bit of money! The world is a sad place with all the unnecessary deaths and killings......

  • @7t8h4z

you paid way too much attention in English class man..

  • Not sure if the Coen brothers meant for such a deep philosophical message in this film but for me it came out loud and clear - money isn't important whereas being loved is. Or maybe the message is that relentless pursuit of wealth will leave your soul bankrupt (and your wife + father in law dead along with your life totally ruined).
