Why is the Yamaha faster? I would think the Ninja would be because its a streetbike and bigger. Was the ninja tapped?

@TheNico9696 the wr is lighter (better power to weight) and its geared lower (more acceleration less top speed) also the wr is more of a race engine.

Both are pretty slow bikes, but considering there size they did very well. Either of these bikes would have walked an 883 sportster.
