@Mothman354 Worked for an entire year i think you'll find before upgrading to another sound card in my PC. Its a generic way of doing it meaning it may or may not work with certain sound interfaces, i do know what im talking about for i wouldnt make a video otherwise.
I want to record my mixes and i was wondering if i could use a capture card (Pinnacle Dazzle Capture Card) to capture the audio going from my decks into the capture card. I want to run a red and white rca cable from my Numark Mixtrack Pro into the capture card and then use the software that came with the capture card to record the mix. any help would be greatly appreaciated. basically im asking if i can record just sound that is coming through the white and red rca cable. please respond
Im not sure if i am doing this right I coming out of my mixer into the computer microphone jack i go into audacity but the sound is awful im not sure what is worng you can hear it but it sounds really bad .... Im not sure if the fact that i am using my own computer mix and record ... what do u think i should do?
@ElDJBarr it may be distorting and to fix this you need to turn the record volume down on the computer otherwise i might be the soundcard and you may have to try another
@MrBarezoots if its a audio interface you are talking about then yes it should work as long as you have power going to you laptop because they can be quite a strain on the battery.
@MrBarezoots yes you can,or instead of line-in,it might work if you plug the other end into the microphone jack.if that doesnt work, try the headphone jack.
cheers for the vid mate helped me well i know how to just dunno if it will work lol u will see a mix up on youtube soon so keep ya ears and eyes peeled for sum wobbly jump up dnb init safe
i think that it maybe a setting you havent changed or is simple a dodgy soundcard you are recording with. Aswell make sure that all the wires are well shielded because if not they can cause issues.
i am sorry but this is the only real infomation i can give you over youtube.
to actually know whats wrong i would have to see in person which i am not in the position to do.
all i know is that with all those things in check i can get absolutly GREAT sounding audio through it.
So if i connect two rca splitters to my master out and i connect one of them at the speakers and one of them to my computer,it should work fine?(sorry for my bad english)
Well my laptop does have line in but then is very old lol
Othwise i am not really sure on how you could change the sensitivity but i do know on some "Dell" laptops in the audio option the is a switcher where you can have the input as either mic or line in.
Yes, I have some questions...One: How much is that chord taht plugs into the computer/mixer, and where can I get one?
and two: (dumb question) if the mixer is plugges into the laptop...would u still need seperate speakers? Or would the sound come out of the Laptops speakers? Thanx
the cable you can get from any dj or music shop for about £5 all it is is a 3.5mm jack to stereo RCA.
and you can either have seperate speakers OR use the laptop speakers but i would recomend seperate speakers for better audio quality for you to hear because most laptop speakers arent that good so either buy seperate speakers and plug them in to your mixer or laptop.
Stop trying to do this everybody this dude doesnt know what hes talkin about.

the only input/output whatever i can record from is the mic, apparently it gives horrible quality, any other suggestions?
DJSillzor 1 year ago
@DJSillzor have you actually tried it though because sometimes it can work through the mic plug pretty well...
So give it a try and if not good then i can only suggest buying another soundcard external or internal.
FORGOTFGT 1 year ago
i haven't tried dude but since i made this comment i watched another video and he pointed out the problem that causes bad quality so it's all good.
thanks for the help man, it is a good video.

Can i do this with the stanton smx 201(it has only one master out) and an amplifer?
NoyseandRas 2 years ago
Yes you can do it like this but then i dont know how you would link up your amp for other speakers.
the only way i can see is if you get whats called RCA Splitters or mix completely through headphones but then the splittlers should work fine

i know there is a difference between Line in and Mic
there is a huge reduction in buzz with the line in
but lap tops only have a mic
is there anyway to get it as close to line in quality as possible?

brianwurst1234 2 years ago
if its onboard sound it might be that or you might have your mixers output too loud or the mic level too high.
Hope this helps!
Thx for the comment :)
