Romi, Rajesh Khanna Can't be compared Amitabh at all. Amitabh is far more superior class than Rajesh khanna. Rajesh had only one Genre romantic move and that's why he could sustain in front of his arch rival Amitabh Bachchan.
Baurchi is the movie which has been coped from famous Bangla movie Golpo Hole O Shotti. Ravi Ghosh did the same roll. Fact is that Rajesh khanna even could not reach of standard of Ravi Ghosh.
Rajesh Khanna could not match Rabi Ghosh because Rabi Ghosh is an actor par excellence- a Satyajit Ray favorite. It is unfair to compare a Bollywood "hero" with the legendary Rabi Ghosh. Having said that, Rajesh Khanna is a fairly decent actor.

I think it's unfair to compare the two. There have been innumerable attempts to do the same storyline before and after Anand. Anand was magical due to Hrishikesh Mukherjee's direction, the powerful script , songs and powerhouse performances by the actors. But this doesn't make movies like KHNH meaningless, because I think it was still able to entertain people, in a different way.
In Bawarchi, Rajesh Khanna plays a role of saviour of the family. It seems that he is playing a negative role, but if you rememebr the climax, he waives good bye to the girl from a distance after everyone in the family thinks he is evil, but only girl knows the truth. Because of bawarchi all memebrs in the family start caring and loving each other again.
Rajesh Khanna may be suitable for such roles, and no dount was a good actor, but Amitabh is the whole package. No comparison, sorry.
when ever i see this movie it appeals to me as real thing happening in front of me .its so real that at the climax even i get tears in my eyes .its one of the best movie in indian film history .

This is the best movie ever and one that is still remembered even with today's stars. This is not to mention Amitabh himself.
