  • This is one of my favorite skits! LOL! I couldn't stop laughing and my husband could exercise. He kept falling down on his face when he was trying to do push ups. lol!!!

  • Dave Foley is my dream man and this sketch is just the cherry! LOL!

  • I heard "I have a good attitude toward menstruation" and looked at the suggested videos, the number one video suggested was titled "...and I'm a Mormon."

    I couldn't stop laughing.

  • Who was the top writing contributor to this sketch? The diction makes it. :)

  • A lot of times I see ppl drop the comment 'now this is comedy' and I usually don't agree... but this right here is good comedy! *crushes own head in mirror*

  • Apparently in Dave Foley USA & Canada everyone in Canada menstrates because according to him people in Canada are heraphodites? Wow Dave that is just great :D Gosh i love him

  • dave foley you slay us all! i love this- they changed the world

  • This is what I like about Kids in the Hall. I clicked on this video. And about 30 seconds into it, even though I was watching by myself. I got uncomfortable and wanted to run away.

  • Menstrual soup is delicious.

  • poor dave is having a tough time as of late... can't believe that such a great canadian comedian should be worried about being arrested there

  • @euginam91 ... Wait... What? I have obviously missed something. What trouble is out Dear Dave in?

  • @shelaughs I just read up on Dave's situation after reading euginam91's comment. Apparently Dave needs to pay half a mil in child support to his first wife, and if he returns to Canada he could go to jail for not having paid off his debt. Or, at least that's what I believe I just read; I'm terrible with legal jargon.

  • @shelaughs well he explained it in the wtf podcast with marc maron... but it has to do with his ex-wife and child support payments... they have some fucked up family laws in canada

  • Men who are grossed out by a little blood are whimps.

  • Don't want to menstruate?

    Go on a diet.

  • @SculptedThoughts

    or just use birth control...

  • I have always had a bad attitude towards menstruation. It makes me uncomfortable to talk about it or hear someone talk about it, and I think that's the basis of this sketch: this is a universal feeling among men.

  • @assmane999 Why is that? I'm serious, I just don't understand. I have a bad attitude for it for other reasons.

  • @assmane999 That is untrue. Its certainly not a universal feeling among men. I'd say that it might be a prevalent feeling, but I know plenty of men who are completely unfazed by it. In fact, plenty of men have sex with women who are menstruating -- SHOCKING, I KNOW! I'd say that most men that I know, don't care about menstruation. I think that guys who are raised in a misogynistic, male-centered household might have a problem with it.

  • i'm eating thick, chunky cranberry sauce right now...

  • I can't believe he didn't like the monologues that much.

  • David Foley is my favorite Kid. Back when I was menstruating, I always wished my ex-husband would turn into Dave during my monthlies! Though I am fecund no longer, I long for Dave to mop my brow and bring me herbal tea...

  • If I had to pick between brad pitt or dave foley, I'd pick dave. (:

  • kids in the hall is amazing...

    brilliant

  • this is me irl

  • I remember watching this when i was five, and not having a sweet clue what he was talking about...well, at least one man has a good attitude toward menstruation...if it was them, they'd whine and complain about it all the time. They should appreciate the crap we go through!

  • Kids in the Hall is one of the best shows to come out of Canada ever, I wish it never went off the air.

  • @kipperfan02 Have there been any other shows to come out of Canada ever?

  • @danieladougan, um yeah Due South, Degrassi, Trailer Park Boys and SCTV.

  • This was the first Kids in the Hall Sketch I ever saw. I was 11 years old and I fell in love. <3 Kids for ever!

  • The problem with my being introduced to his work on KITH and other such things AFTER his performance in A Bug's Life, is that I picture his ant character saying this.

The benefit? It makes it twice as funny XD.

Dave Foley, I love you XD

  • Menstruation accounted for the overwhelming Christianization of Ojibway women. Ojibway girls on first menses left the village lest "magical poisons" run rampant in the village. They were always raped by adventurous young boys, more horny than superstitious, an ideal set-up because the girls were not allowed to look at any living thing lest they contaminate them, and so the attackers could never be identified. When missionaries said they didn't have to live that way, they converted huge!

  • ferguntity

  • @pancholdn fecundity

  • @rephilia thanks

  • dude, you are funny! lol!

  • Herbal tea and Pamprin. XD Oh gosh. Hilarious.

  • This is how to charm women. Dave knows the secret.

  • the attitude that most men should have.

  • dave's a smart guy. hundreds of women probably began loving him just because of this skit alone.

  • Dave is a genius

  • as a menstruator, I have a good attitude towards Dave Foley.

  • @soapyme

    I second that

  • @soapyme Yes, but Dave doesn't like it when you steal other people's comments and post them as your own, which you obviously did here. Maybe try making up your own jokes next time???

  • YES! He used fecundity in a sentence, I love him.

  • I think I will always been just a little in love with Dave Foley.

  • The Canadian references make this show... The courrieur de bois. hahahahahahaha.

  • @billyd87 "coureur de bois," isn't it? "Woodsman" or "fur trapper"? Maybe Dave mispronounced the word "coureur.

  • I love this sketch or monologue. Dave is the best.

  • lol "singing a jaunty song"

  • How romantic

  • that's hot.

  • everytime i walk into walk mart i think of you and i'm so happy!

  • what did he say after no no even if *what is quat avoir* were to run blah?

  • @HKichen,

He said "coureur des bois". They were fur traders in New France (now Canada) who traveled by canoe.

  • Aww... It was sweet of you to help me out.

    Thanks! :D

  • Dave has the best monologues.

  • What the hell.. xD;

  • Some of us do!

  • Menstruation is great and all, but it hurts like a bitch.

  • Agreed. Although I bear with it, I really hate it.

  • dave foley rocks

  • Dave is such a genius. This was one of my favorites!

  • I love that he used the word "fecundity". God, this skit is hilarious!

  • I love that he said jaunty lol.

  • Fantastic!

  • I had forgotten about this one! I love it. xD

    I don't have a good attitude towards menstruation, and I'm female! ._.

  • Agreed, a thousand times.

  • There aren't even any women who have a good attitude towards menstruation, let alone guys.

  • there are lots! all my girlfriends like to bleed and i too, it's magic, vagina magic, yeah

  • lol.. in 10th grade in a sex ed test, they asked what menstration was. I answered "A cluster of blood vessels awaiting a fertilized egg, providing a safe, warm place for that egg to grow; and if a life does not occur, the whole thing is flushed away." Yeah. True story. The teacher put a ? by it b/c it wasn't the definition he gave. He was probably thinking, "Wtf?" lol. But, yeah. I watched this monolouge *so* much back then that I knew it by heart. Still do. Thanks, Dave

    When he talks about

  • "admire her fecundity"? LOL hilarious.

  • thank you SO MUCH for putting this up!!!

  • i wish i had such a good attitude toward menstruation...

  • Hilarious!

  • This is by far one of the best skits of the first season! Still makes me laugh my arse off.
