I would also argue that the character roster in virtually every FF game is pretty much identical, there's always the little annoying mummy's boy/girl, theres always the token black guy, there's always the "tortured" character with some form of amnesia. Nowadays to make a final fantasy game: Add amazing graphics, ditsy and dumb characters, take away some gameplay and add an eccentric feature, add an annoying song sung by some chick that's the game's theme song, add some obviously evil bad guy and then package it for 60$.
Even though this is a fake rant I really do believe that FF sucks. The only part of the series that I actually like is Dissidia other than that I'm not an FF fan. I get a lot more nostalgia from Legends of Legaia than FF.

Even though this is a fake rant I really do believe that FF sucks. The only part of the series that I actually like is Dissidia other than that I'm not an FF fan. I get a lot more nostalgia from Legends of Legaia than FF.

first of all the aeris death scene wasn't the end. thats what pissed me off cuz you spend the whole first disc leveling aeris up and everthing (1st disk being the LONGEST) and then she dies and you can't use her no more??? plus i loved aeris character and she was my favorite character to fight with in the game. that is why i will never finish FF 7.....

Final Fantasy I - VI were real games.
Final Fantasy VII had memorable characters and a nice story.

I can't stand Final Fantasy 1-11. 12 13 were barely decent because Square Enix's random battle and unskippable cutscene boner finally went flaacid. Battles are still retarded real time and a few of the girls thought they were guys but, oh well.
