  • I am german and all that meat stuff is simply disgusting......

  • @marilu0007 word!

  • I just came from Berlin yesterday. It was awesome! Currywurst, Exotic foods, and cheap beer!

  • @rjereza Rammstein is NOT a good reason to go to Germany

  • @Daniel2415 no it's definately not. Not only are they fucking horrible, they're also all over the place.

  • I was in Berlin this summer on a tour and I got to meet that guy, Nigel, he was our tour guide and he showed us both sides of berlin...he was really an interesting guy, he could explain in detail just about anything you asked about...but you would never guess he's a serious ex-spy at first, he looks all serious on here but he's hilarious in person! at the end he just said "oh by the way, & I did an interview with Anthony Bourdain.." & then our whole class looked it up lol. & currywurst ROCKS!

  • Oh, and the currywurst is VERY delicious :)

  • Went to Berlin in June and LOVED IT. If you ever get a chance to, you should definately go there! :)

Nigel was a wonderful tour guide, and taught me a whole lot about the history of Berlin.

  • Nigel Dunkley<3

  • OMG i love Germany i wanna move there .

  • @rjereza rammstein u must be joking m8

  • Don't forget the Bratwurst ha, ha.....

  • Don't forget the Bratwurst ha, ha.....

  • @rjereza rammstein sucks

  • 1.- Schöne frauen?

  • Hans Zimmer, music composer for OST's of The Lion King, Gladiator,The Dark Knight, inception is from Germany.

  • berlin is grey and boring come to cologne much much better! <3

  • @Greygoose511

How do you know? Do you live there???? I think NOT!!!! I actually live there and can say that you have NO idea what ur talking about what so ever!!!!!!! Besides if Germany was so "grey and boring" then maybe you should check out that artsy hotel! Whats grey and boring now?

  • @cathryndorries ananas

  • I bet germans must have really good plumbing!!! I would have to shit a brick after eatin all that shit!!

  • Autobahn is getting boring when you ride it every day.

  • Love the beer etiquette. "Look each other in the eye, clink glasses. Seven years of bad sex, if you don't." Classic!

  • Ugh the food in the deli looks incredibly nasty, no offense to anyone....Id go for wienerschnitzel though.

  • Haha Wolfsheim is better than Rammstein...just sayin.

  • @rjereza

If you want really good beer, go to Bavaria ^^

Or just drink Bavarian beer, you can find some bavarian pubs in Berlin too, I think. to be honest, I've never been in Berlin, but i will go at the end of September ^^

  • @rjereza Ooooooooh the autobahn. That i amazing! Absolutely!

  • I went this summer and the curry wurst stand was closed!!!! Due to construction on the s-bahn!! I was pretty upset about that.... maybe next summer it'll open~!~

  • @concertmatell there are so much "currywurst-buden" you just have to walk some meters

    greets a german

  • @rjereza, @Faztlan: Die Autobahn i nothing to enjoy. There are building workers and speed restrictions everywhere. The Beer is definitelx good, but always the better choice is the wine in the Rhein-Main.Region around Frankfurt. 50 km to the west you will find the most enchanting villages, where they have a wine frmer on almost every corner. The food is very good and should not be missed.

  • german franks!

  • ohh man i am freakn crazing german food rite now so badly

  • Comment removed

  • What a bullshit. Husbands spying each other. There have been some cases, yes- but it was nothing common. Shit simplification of history.

  • @fwbz

You're apologizing for the Stasi's behavior? speaking as a jew of german descent, do the world a favor and go kill yourself.

  • @Dierwolf2000 I am not apologizing Stasi behavior. But I dont see the world in black and white. And if there maybe have been 10 or so examples of husbands spying each other in 40 yrs -well thats terrible- but if millions of people are reduced to the worst examples thats simply unrealistic. History should be written without an agenda and emotions. - By the way, what does your descent matter? Do you think you or you opinion are getting a bonus for that? Your "Kill yourself"-argument is very weak

  • @fwbz Yes, in East Germany you had the Stasi. In America we have the FBI. J. Edgar Hoover -- the long-time head of the FBI -- kept thousands of files on Americans whom he felt were a threat to the American State. So: What was the difference between the Stasi and J Edgar Hoover's FBI? Answer: absolutely no difference at all. None.

    ___

Also, Hoover was gay, but publicly he persecuted homosexuals.

Take heart. Not every American sees only black & white.

  • @bapyou I will not defend the Stasi -it was definitly nothing good -but of course this has ever been put into context -and yes - In Guantanamo there were as much injustice and even torture then in all Stasi-prisons together -- and that was recently! And I hate it when people from outside the GDR say -"Live was hell in East Germany" and stuff like that -thats one-sided bullshit -- because most people lived very ordinary lives, had a happy childhood and so on. It like saying: "Live in US is hell"

  • @fwbz I appreciate you sharing your experiences & perspective. You are correct. Most Americans are ignorant fools. Frequently the only information they have about places outside the U.S. (which is NOT a paradise, believe me), is propaganda. Therefore you have the unending sturm und drang concerning life in the Sovet bloc. It's propganda, pure & simple. That's all it is.

    ___

I've read about Russians visiting the West years ago saying "At least we had the good sense not to believe Pravda!"

  • @bapyou It unfortunate how we Amercians are judged so harshly as a whole. Not all of us are loud, rude and stupid. Some of thirst for culture but its hard to get over here. Its not like we live in Europe. I love Europe but some things there are ass backward with their politics...but then again ours is worse haha. I love Germany.

  • @bapyou Usually the peole who speak out the loudest against being gay, are usually gay themselves. Why do people feel like they have to persecute everyone if they dont agree with them, who cares....live and let live.

  • @Dierwolf2000 By the way -I lived in East Germany and me and my familiy have not a bit of a communist background. And I know that East Germany for 95% of its inhabitants was not seen or feeled as a place of paranoia... -But well if you only want to hear 5% which were in some way "victims" of the system (or 2.5% because there are also enough who are no victims and want to be some) thats fine. The US is known to want it as simple as possilbe (good and evil), but I hoped it would be a prejudice.

  • @fwbz hey, thanks for your comments...i think you have a great and valid point of view that is basically applicable to most areas...most places are wonderful if you visit them with an open mind:)...anyways, i'll be traveling to berlin soon so i appreciate your comments!

  • @crackfarm76 Thank you :-). I wish you a great time in Berlin. Berlin is definitly an interesting city. If it is a beautiful city is always a matter of taste. :-) I myself prefer the smaler citys - but many people simply love Berlin.

  • Bourdain is one lucky SOB to have this job

  • fockn miss my currywurst with a nice cold malzbier!!!

  • Sausages are delicious but as for British public school cock, skin or no skin, mnnn, delicous!

  • This show is so much better than Zimmer's. It shows so much more than just food.

  • im german and i hate the typical german food cause everybody in the world thinks heavy meat, potatoes and much much beer is all whe drink and eat. thats bullshit /exept much much beer ;o)

  • at the deli the food dont even looked cooked

  • @rjereza

Listening to rammstein, while driving 250 km/h on the autobahn and drinking a realy cool beer :)

  • I guess it depends on where you live and what kinda food you like. When it's getting heavy, meaty and potato, Germany is your country. And that's just my kinda stuff.

  • @Bense23 it depends also on which part of the country you go, if you like heavy meaty stuff, go to the south, if you prefer seafood, go to the north, if you prefer vegetables, go to thuringia etc ...

  • Konnopke ftw!

  • Isn't Rammstein all living in Amerika now?

  • lol no ...all members are berlin-residents

  • Leider gibt's die Beste Curry an der Curry 36

  • "seven years of bad sex" look at the face of Anthony XD einfach klasse

  • rammstein \m/

  • @jasonblazin da hast du recht kölner bier gleich pisse

  • Is the elbow up really necessary?.

  • No, that's just bullshit.-)

  • No, it's not necessary but you must look at other people's eyes when you drink... and never ever cheers with water... you'll not live long enough to do it again, Prost!

  • lol nigel.. was nen idiot.. hehe alein wie er meint ne flasche bier richtig zu trinken.. ich lach mich weg...

  • @Lollinger78 Du bist hier der Idiot, mein Lieber. Its called the "Deutscher Winkel" not by me or you but because its a German practice in certain circles - Studentenkorps wenn es "gekneipt wird, zum Beispiel. Aber Du würdest so etwas nicht wissen, also haben wir all zu hoffen, daß du in der Tat dich "weglachst. Weit weg sogar.

  • I'd like to visit Germany one day, and hit the autobahn!! -TEXAS

  • @Faztlan You will have much fun! ^^ But at some parts we have a speed limit!

  • @aandastudios1 which parts of the bahn have limits?

  • @manutdr8 We have 'Richtgeschwindigkeit' in germany. 60% of the autobahn youre only allowed to drive 130 km/h at the other 40% you are allowed to drive so fast as you want ^^

  • @Faztlan --I am from Texas and it's not that much different than driving down Int 35 throught Ft. Worth and Dallas. Have lived here for almost 3 years.

  • Naa, so ein Kompliment, danke! Tut immer gut, als englischsprachige, guburtige Schotte zu hören, daß mein englisch deutsch klingt! Man you have a lot to learn, so run along and read about the historical Germany of 20 years ago you clearly have no idea about. Kack wird Berlin nie sein, du Tellytubby zurückwinker.

  • Totally better without skin, It takes away that awkward texture.

  • Okay, seriously, somebody here needs to open a restaurant that serves "Curry-wurst"....with lots and lots of good beer

  • yeaah good idea why not???

i love german currywurst or bratwurst and german beer is the best i ever tasted

  • Berlin dont need to hide behind London or Paris all three citys are great but my fav Citys are Paris and Berlin

  • they should tear down the stupid russian war memorial it doesnt fit into this city its a city in germany not russia.berlin is very very open minded a cosmopolitan city like New York i try to compare berlin to this awesome town in the USA

  • Right on! We tore down the Nazi memorials, and rightly so, and we should tear down the communist ones as well.

  • Erm, it's about Currywurst...

The russian memorial is NOT a communist thing, it's a war memorial. It has to stay just where it is. I pass it every day and it always makes me think about what happened. What better can you say about a memorial?

  • ok but aphasia1972 you need to keep in mind that many east germans were devoted to there government,,, and many today still want the "good old" DDR back.. i know many

  • i love currywurst!! :D

  • me eihter i love it i eat the currywurst anyday the best of the best

  • "Berlin ist arm, aber sexy"

  • You probably should read a little bit about who started the most wars in the last 60 years.. here's a hint: Wasn't Germany.

  • exactly it wasnt germany

maybe some famous big brother ????

USA i dont hope so.because i love USA and canada and germnay as well too and france and italy and spain and switzerland and sweden all nice countrys to travel or live in

  • What is that piano music around 7:30... ?

  • I agree Curry wurst is gross! But cock though! Magnificent!

  • I absolutely LOVE Berlin, but I never eat Currywurst.

  • you should try it its awesome

  • 'kay, I swear I will! And I will eat Currywurst at Kanopke's, just like AB did!!

  • there is in some citys a contest who can eat the most spicy currywurst inthe world.

and its nothing for pussys i tried it one time.its like fire and volcano lava in one sauce.needed to drink two 1 litre bottles of milk to eliminate the burn on my tongue

  • I think that city is Mainz, they have really hot currywurst over there, and i should know, i am mexican hehehe, but it goes great with a bier, leave the milk for children... Prost!

  • @Deutschip the hottest currywurst youll find in Frankfurt, its about 30km from Mainz

  • I absolutely LOVED Currywurst when I was in Berlin.

  • how does bourdain not get fat as fack? he must have a serious metabolism

  • he used to smoke, but then he quit when his baby was born, so there are a couple of episodes where he looks a bit chubby in the face.

  • howz that relevant?

  • aww you just want to be noticed, even if it's for saying something stupid ^_^

  • And look where he is now. One man's past does not dictate his future. You may be so straight edge and your future = living in your mom basement making irrelevent remarks to someone who is more successful than you will ever be. Cheers
