Assignats were paper money issued by the National Assembly in France during the French Revolution. The assignats were issued after the confiscation of church properties in 1790 because the government was bankrupt. The government thought that the financial problems could be solved by printing certificates representing the value of church properties. These church lands became known as biens nationaux. Assignats were used to successfully retire a significant portion of the national debt .

The Roman Catholic Church has been conducting these genocides over here in Europe for 1600 years now, while killing out any opposition. And are doing it today, having adapted a strategy since Reformation times, to do this without getting noticed, while blaming their enemies for it.

Perhaps we should explore the concept of odious debt as well: odious debt is an established legal principle. Legally, debt is to be considered odious if the government used the money for personal purposes or to oppress the people. Moreover, in cases where borrowed money was used in ways contrary to the peoples interest, with the knowledge of the creditors, the creditors may be said to have committed a hostile act against the people. Creditors cannot legitimately expect repayment of such debts.
