people calling it screamo..or whatever, are missing something. It sounds way too "produced" without the screaming. The screaming, for better or worse, gives it cred. Oherwise it looks like Michael Cera"s basement band.

@blackfrancis55 Not that I agree with "Michael Cera's basement band", but the contrast between vocals and music is part of why they're great. But yeah, this isn't screamo. They could be called hardcore for sure, but it's probably safer to just call them punk and leave it at that. Really, they're doing their own thing and doing very well at it.

Also, It would be exclusive and stupid for me to say that calling this screamo discredits your opinion, but it would be accurate to say that doing so kind discredits you and exposes your ignorance on the subject to anyone who is a punk or hardcore fan. Now, I'm not one to say that means you shouldn't have an opinion or whatever, and I realize this isn't the kind of thing you guys are use to on this show or whatever, but its pretty clear you guys don't know much on the topic of this band or punk

I'm not going to argue, because someone not liking a band that I do doesn't bother me. But just to clear up some facts: the album that this song sprang from, David Comes to Life, did not win the Polaris Prize. That was their second full length, The Chemistry of Common Life. And secondly, this is not screamo, nor is Damian a screamo vocalist.

I wish they did a Canadian tour with David Comes to Life, I enjoyed the concept album so much, it would be great to listen to it live.

@kara366 WOW. OK, I am not a big Rock fan... but it doesn't take much to see he can't scream his way out of the proverbial paper bag. The other singer is off-key. Too bad, cause the MUSIC is really great, tight, and well played.

@followHimnotUs Winning awards =/= quality. It's called an opinion, just because you enjoy this doesn't mean everyone will. I gave some of they're recorded stuff a go, and it is actually quite listenable. This performance is just flat out bad in my opinion.

The first 30ish seconds were like "Alright...get on with it already..."

Then the chubby dude started doing his thing which immediately caused me to laugh, and then during his jibberish when his hat flew off I just lost it.. sorry to offend anyone who likes this stuff, but...just sigh
