  • Wow..I love your playing! I just started grade 10 RCM piano, and it's a really fun song to learn.

Just out of curiousity, how old were you when you played this? :)

  • precioso !,,, me puedes enviar las partituras ???

  • I'm playing this for Certificate of Merit this year and it's so fun to play! It's HARD... but fun :)

  • haha, whoah, I totally recognize those songs from my childhood

  • hahaa~ I'm not sure whether Ginastera actually incorporated recognizable folk tunes in this..

  • really? wow...that's pretty cool~ =D

  • yes, he is! i´m 22, and i grow up in a town in the north of buenos aires... i recognize them all! "sobre el puente de avigñon", "arrorro mi niño", and the other one... i´m not sure of the name, but my mother sings it... hahah. i´m studying it right now for my piano exam...

  • how long did this take for you to accomplish?

  • I just played this piece. Nice job

  • ^^ thanks~

  • I really enjoyed your performance. I'm currently working on this piece and am loving it with all the different moods. How did you do the LH glissando toward the end? With the thumbnail? It just feels so strange as I've only done gliss. with my RH. Thanks.

  • I'm glad you liked it =D

The glissando was actually really hard to perfect, but yes, it was with the thumbnail ^^ I don't think it should be too different from a RH one =]

    Good luck with your playing!

  • im also playing this piece. :) that's why i searched for it.

  • =] happy playing to you~

  • he he

    thanks :)

  • I agree with the spamzored. I think, there are some places where you can exaggerate a bit, because this piece is supposed to be "childish", so at some places maybe you can do a bit legato (Bat 18 to pick up to bar 19, the 3 notes marked p-subito). Also, at bar 56 to 65, and bar 74 to 85, make sure the notes are non-legato. Though staccato notes are extremely hard to achieve at these places.

Though overall it's great =) Thanks for uploading!

  • Hmm...I agree with your point =) There's definitely lots of room for improvement in my playing.

    And thank you ^^

  • Thanks for uploading this piece. It's quite rare on youtube and I was uploading a video of myself taken over 10 years ago and I had forgotten the name!

Technically, you are spot on but you might want to give yourself a little bit more rhythmic freedom as it seems a bit regimented and restrained.

Good job overall as it's difficult to find the voice and inspiration in modern music.

  • Thank you very much!

  • im learning this song fer piano, thanks fer showin how its suppose to sound, playing it slowly it sounds reallly odd, but its a fun song to play

  • ^^ Glad it helped =D

Yup XD most 20th century pieces are very queer at first, but get better as you play more fluently =3

    Have fun playing! ^^

  • Thanks, I'll be learning this piece and now I have an idea what it sounds like :)

  • haha =D I'm glad to hear that ^^

  • ahahaha. i liked this song, sounded very happy. xD do you have to memorize all these pieces? o_o they seem like so much to memorize, hahaha.

  • lol it's about a bunch of happy kids playing right? XD

    yupp...5 pieces isn't all that much though...I mean I've had months ^^

  • o_O XD what a very wierd song..and children folktales too! haha

but its cute the way u played it hehe

wow u uploaded so many vids!! are they all ur exam pieces? is this in the grade ten book?

  • haha I hated this song at first XD but once you get the "children playing" sense, it's pretty fun to play ^^

yup =D these are all for the exam! and all from the book too =)
