Cool video. I can't decide between this and the canon powershot SX120 IS. the HD video is definitely makin me lean toward the Sony though. but how is the battery life and picture quality in low light?
mm. Thanks for your reply. I bought the Sony. YAY! ^^ I also heared all those things that they are pretty much the same but I heared more people complimenting picture quality for Canon and not so many for Sony. People sais a lot about Sony's video though. (It's great! I'll post something on youtube soon) And I also was hesitant because I wanted to have AA rechargables. I heared it's easier with them. But whatever, up untill now I didn't have any issues with that.
and if I will have problems with it after all my friend told me I can just buy another batery. mm... other than that I was also thinking that Canon has more features and adjustable control functions. mm... Do you know if canon can make panoramic pictures? I was outside today and wanted to make one but couldn't find out how to make one... are you just supposed to make several shots and then make them together on a computer or something? I still haven't run that CD that came with Sony camera...
I'm not sure about the panorama stuff, haven't tried it yet, but I'm relatively sure both can do it. I could be wrong. The Cannon did have easier to use manual controls, but the Sony's I-Auto mode works really well, so I haven't really needed the manual mode as much. Congrats on the purchase, hope it works out for you.
I like having the high capacity rechargable battery pack that the Sony comes with, and the HD video is pretty nice, as you can see. The only slight issue is that the LCD looks just the faintest bit blurry while your shooting - like it looks a tad out of focus - but it is in focus, and when you actually shoot the picture, it looks perfect.
Hope that helps. HD video outweighs that minor flaw imo.
Please help me here. I'm stuck between these two cameras: Canon SX110 IS and Sony Cybershot DSC-H20. it's heavy. Thing is I heard A LOT good stuff about picture quality in the first camera but I didn't hear anything about it in the second one. Though I heard A LOT about its video quality... it's heavy. Tell me how do you feel after buying Sony? Is that video thing so importan to you? How's the picture quality, features, navigation and overall. I rly need your opinon, coz I cn't make up my own.
Sorry, I just noticed I had a comment. I was deciding between the same two cameras, and chose this one because from what I read, the two have very similar picture quality (excellent), sizes, etc.

There's an option that enables digital zoom. Press menu and go to the very bottom selection and click that and then you'll see it.
