  • Hahaha, robust athletics lol. Go Navy!

  • "That fascist band camp nextdoor"

  • stupid

  • 1:53 :) What courage!

  • The Air Force academy trains leaders...the Naval academy trains gay rights activists.

  • @MrROTCcadet

The Air Force Academy trains leaders for desk workers. The Naval Academy trains douchebags.

US Navy/Marine Corp enlisted trains MEN.

  • @Rac665 Marines obviously, but Navy...they can only dream.

  • @MrROTCcadet

wow. Okay. are you in the service right now? are you in the Marines? or are you ROTC?

I think i would know who trains what. in all seriousness, all 4 are about the same. been there done that. I said the US NAVAL ACADEMY....since the Marine Corp runs under the Navy, the USNA trains Marine officers as well. USMC is just another arm of the sea service. Did that shit for 9 years. Marines aren't all that anyways. I know firsthand. Their infantrymen are good at what they do.

  • @MrROTCcadet

Well considering the USNA sends officers to the USMC...

  • @Rac665 And not women?

  • @MrROTCcadet I'm sure both have their gay sides. There isn't as much different between the two than you'd think.

  • @MrROTCcadet I'm sure both have their gay sides. There is more in common between the two than you'd think.

  • Im curious on the requirements to get it, the information i saw was too vague, any one know?

  • @PyleOfCrapVideos A letter from your congressman helps

  • @PyleOfCrapVideos I can tell you how to get into the academies, go to my page and i'll tell you everything you need and should know, and what to do so you can get in.

  • Does anyone know the qualifications to enter Naval Academy? I keep trying to find it on the website, but it just doesn't seem practical, I mean, I was expecting to see an admission fee to go, i knew about the physical and academic requirements, but is that about it?

  • @714mike you will need a nomination from your local representative or any one of the two senators for your state. you will have a greater chance getting the nomination from your local rep. but go for all three.

  • My dream is to go to this school and become a marine. I am in 10th grade in high school and I will do whatever it takes to get in. I have a 4.0, I play varsity lacrosse and I am the leader of a debate club. But i have mild asthma and I just found out this is an automatic disqualification from being accepted. Is this true??? Is there any way I can still go to the school?????????....

  • @mdog94 It is unfortunately true. I have a friend who was basically going to do the same thing and she found out she had asthma her senior year in high school and she couldn't go

  • @mdog94

Once you apply through DoDMERB (Dept. of Defense Medical Exam Review Board) they'll determine your medical status (based on a physical and optometrist exam). If you're DQ'd for asthma you can file for a waiver. The final decision on your medical status is then determined by the academy that you've applied to.

  • You should still apply and go through the medical process. If you are a Varsity athlete chances are your asthma isn't severe enough to limit your physical performance and you can get a waiver for your condition if they find you qualified.

  • @mdog94 man, i'm an IB student looking to graduate with 13 college credits, 3.3 gpa, JROTC 1st sgt (pretty good for only taking a semester) going to LET 4 now for a whole year, Marching Band, and Debate. my weakest point is the physical.

but as far as Asthma, uhm if you can get the right paperwork, they can sign of a release and allow you to go. I'll research it up and get back to you on it. maybe we'll both be in the class of '16 lol

but yea Asthma does, doesn't mean you can't get around it.

  • @Sharod101 lol dude good luck getting accepted your gonna need a miracle for that to happen. work on your gpa its way too low and get yourself in shape

  • @mdog94 run cross-country or something. i had mild asthma, but i eventually outgrew it. now i'm qualified for an academy. also make sure you do really well on the CFA running portion

  • @mdog94 Just go on through with the DoDMERB regardless of your asthma. I have a stutter, which should be an automatic disqualification but the medical examiner told me that it wasn't severe enough to be an issue. If you really want to go to the academy, keep working on your file and get that stuff done early.

  • bro join the air force trust me... and for whoever it is already too late - do not go to the uss essex lhd-2, it blows - been here 3 1/2 yrs - finishing out my 5 yr contract - not worst mistake of my life - but itz up there

  • Woah, that is quite an open-ended question. Um, if you want to know message me and I give you a run down when I have time.

I'm actual a re-applicant candidate for c/o 2014. So I know the "in"s and "out"s of the admissions process. I can also direct you to some great resources.

  • if you can get recruited for a varsity sport, it helps, a lot

  • high grades, high sat, letter from congressman or senator, stay out of trouble. not so easy. i am to trying to get into Annapolis, currently a junior in high school.

  • I wish I could attend Naval Academy. :(

  • @Jocol85 Dont we all?

  • navy tramples marines

  • the marines originated from the navy and at the naval academy you can choose if you want the to go into the marines or navy so you basically know nothing about it

  • You do know the marines are part of the navy right?

  • yes i do know that but alot of ppl dont there all like "o 200 men go down 100 couples come up" so apparently 2 them navy is gay but the maines arent

  • courage that was funny

  • The best is the basketball shot.

  • nice guitar solo... I wish I could play like that

  • lol

  • Go Air Force! :D

  • air force is better than army.

army is worst than navy! :D

    peace.

  • No Branch is better then the others, they all serve there purpose.

  • Grammar

  • chairforce is basically civillian in military uniform. they got hot chicks tho

  • lol

  • navy own the marines

  • yes thankyou ik that. he was saying the army was more manlier than the navy and i defending the navy by saying that the elite combat force of the marines is part of the navy

  • get out of here you poser

  • 2 words: Marine Corps.

  • Marine Corps is Navy dumbass.

  • Marine Corps is a branch of the Navy. Let me put it this way: Without the Marine Corps there is still a Navy. Without the Navy there is no Marine Corps.

  • HA i doubt that just because there is a collapse of the navy that the Marine Corps will go down with it

Marine Corps are second only to the SEALs in training and toughness

  • All the funding to the Marines is from the Navy. Training really doesn't have anything to do with "survival" of the branch. It's the money and supplies the Marine Corps receives from the Navy. I see what you're saying but that's not how it works lol

  • Yes i understand that

what i am saying is, is that just because the navy goes under, for whatever reason, the 180,000 trained marines and officers will simply just drop off with them,

funding will be found lol along with supplies

I mean seriously, we can't leave it to the army to defend the country right?

  • Well without funding and coordination from the Navy the Marine Corps would not be able to function as effectively as today. I support all branches of the Military and believe the Army does well in protection, but it is the joint branch units between all of the services that makes our country secure.

  • Ooops I meant department. My bad.

  • really, marine corps just dont let the navy breathe and hover over them all the time and they even use marine sgts as naval boot camp guys... but anyways i like both branches

  • Hahaha, this ad is hilarious! Great job!

  • What do you mean 'Accelerate'? -__-

  • whats the name of this song?

  • awake by Godsmack

  • you need to get straight A's, nomination by a U.S. Senator, leadership skills, athletic ability, and to be one of the top students in your gradutaing high school class..

  • You don't need straight A's. A 3.5 or higher is good to go, just take hard classes in high school. Admission's people value harder classes more than a 4.0.

  • USNA (dot) edu See the Class Profile for the specifics. You can view class profiles over the last several years and see how you may rate compared to the current admissions. Varsity athletics rank very high.

Applicants 12,003. Nominees qualified scholastically, medically and in physical aptitude 1,893. Offers of admission 1,419.

    Admitted 1,202.

Don't let your local recruiter screw you over.

  • Hey, I'm one of the numbers in that statistic. Thats awesome.

  • What does it take to get into the Academy?

  • School Honors and Activities USNA Class of 2011 Student body/council/government president or vice president 8.3% Class president or vice president 11.6% School club president or vice president 35.2% School publication staff 22.7% National Honor Society 62.0% Varsity Athletics 90.9% Varsity letter 84.2% Dramatics, public speaking, debating 88.4% Eagle Scout/Gold Award 11.0% Boys/Girls State/Nation 15.5% ROTC 13.7% Sea Cadets 3.0%
  • thats hilarious
