  • @kingnorlin it's ok cause you can have an r32 gtr and have rear wheel drive the all wheel drive system is electronically controlled so you just pull the fuse and the front wheels never kick In. And besides the skyline is rear wheel drive all the time, only when the backfires spin will the fronts kick in. So it will break loose like a rear wheel drive but then the front wheels kick in to give you more control.

  • @xenoreiatsu it actually induces oversteer, minimising understeer and then once traction is broken at the rears it then helps you control it by going full lock (only 1 or 2 degrees) the other way.

  • 0 - 160kmh -12sec but quatermile you got 12.6sec at 182kmh??

  • @impakmaksemah Drag strip does not lie....backstreets and video cameras do :)

Runs 11.9 now at around 193kmh

  • hey man i just got a black r32 gtr with r34 gtr rims as well can't wait for spring hahahah

  • my parents nissan patrol did the same thing, it was the rev tacho tho

  • really nice GTR32 i want one too! but i think i'll miss the rwd of my s14 silvia somehow.. btw whats wrong with the speedometer? strange behavior :P

  • @sr20trx1 yes it's the cable, but I suppose you've since broken it. Install new cable when putting in a 300km/h cash on R32's

  • beenyup road near john coles nursery if im not mistaken?

    haha near my place

  • @inthisglass LOL...good spotting

Im in Harvest Lakes....I see a Grey R32 GTR not far from here...You?

  • @sr20trx nah ive got a black 32 gts-t R XXXII if you see me cruisen haha

  • standard ceramic turbos? or n1s

  • whoa you got high kilometres on that man

  • @liondancerulez The car is 20 years old. 74,000 (While most have WAY more) is nothing. I just put a dash with 45,000km on it in my GTR and it simply does not feel right.

  • u cant rev it past 7800rpm on jap spec cars

  • lol are you serious my r32 is auto and it changes gear on 8500 by itself on full throttle

  • @freekaleek876 GTR? If so, fully custom setup there, so not a stock comparison.

GTS? Not a GTR, again not a stock comparison.

  • @ph33x

    no its a gtst

  • @freekaleek876 Must be why it's fitted with an RB26 and has a working Torque meter. The owner even said stock GTR except a few things including GT2860R's - Which are the common upgrade for GTR's. I in fact ordered a set of GT2860R -5's today for mine.

  • @ph33x its not a rb26 its a rb20

  • @freekaleek876 It's an rb26. It sounds like an rb26, it's in a GTR with a torque meter. Damn man I own one of these cars and have a great background with them. This isn't Need for Speed man, lol.

Search "Andrew's R32 Skyline Drift 2" - That's what an rb20 sounds like. They are single turbo, there is a HUGE difference to the sound.

Eitherway I'm not debating it with people who are ignorant any further, it's an rb26 still using the twin turbo setup.

  • @freekaleek876 dude whos car are we talking about im sure u were asking me what car do i have then i started talking about my rb20 then u started saying ur rb26,oh and my rb20 doesnt sound anything like that it sounds more throatier

  • @TheCityofGod rev limit on factory ECU was around 8200rpm from memory....I have since fitted a PFC and brought the limit back to 7500rpm.

Still enough to run an 11.9 qtr mile , and hopefully add to the longevity of the engine ;)

  • So this is stock right? speed limited?

  • Would of been faster if you got the revs past 8000

  • Why would you rev it past 8000?

  • fail do some research before you post because you have no idea what your talking about

  • R32 just needed a fuse to be pulled out in order to make it RWD. The R33 & 34 had switches.

I agree with Leedahl8 Get to know ur facts 1st before u make a fool of yourself.

  • @widebodytx3 That and, while rolling, you can turn key off and back on. The engine still runs cause of the 1 second ECU cutout, so quick off, quick on, while rolling, and you got yourself a rear wheel drive :P Bout to put a switch on mine.

  • Was that in AWD mode or RWD mode.

  • i thought the 32 gtr had a special system that lets it do a wheelie but the it turns on AWD wenn in motion

  • I'm looking at buying an r32 gtr, is there anything i should watch out for?

  • The turbines will shatter at higher boost levels rather eagerly if the turbos are stock and have not been rebuilt. The RB needs a high capacity oil pump around the 450-500 hp mark to avoid oil starvation.

Oh and the GTST is a much more fun ride.

  • 2 things wrong with that sugestion

    1. A high capacity oil pump is just goin to send more oil up into the head. You need restrictors

    2. oil starvation isnt a power related problem. Its rpm that affects it. power has no factor, even Stock R32s will suffer this if you push it past 7500Rpm. because the oil pump runs off the crank, the higher the RPM, the more oil its passing to the head, leavin the bottom end dry. This problem is only inherent in early model R32 GTR's made prior to 1993.

  • of course it has more in it they are speed limited .....

  • sounds like it go more than 180. you should get a 300km speedometer

  • Nice GTR. I've got a '89 R32 GTR but I can't register it till the end of the year. New Zealand has laws that stop it being registered, but the law only applies to cars less than 20 years old. Can't wait for the end of this year. =P

  • Are you from England?

  • I was born in England, but now live in Australia, Car and Video are from Australia

  • what mods you have in it?

  • Watch the end of the video...there all listed

  • I would like to know how you get 12.6 on the 1/4 mile with a 60' time of 2.142. YOu need to be approx 1.600 to attain that time.

  • Obviously not...it ran what it ran...timeslips dont lie.

It has now ran an 11.9 with a 1.764 60ft and 75more hp

  • did you adjust the speedometer to compensate for the larger wheels?

  • No, but as its terminal speed recorded over the quarter mile was 181kmh and it hit that in 12.6 seconds, so judging by this video its safe to assume its still fairly accurate as it still hits an indicated 180kmh in around 12 seconds.

  • nice gtr luv the b.o.v

  • are those R34 GTR Rims?

  • Yep

  • i will be buying a gtr n wanna ask u if there is any way of stopping the speedo from stopping then cotinueing all the time

  • It appears to be getting worse if anything...keep meaning to replace it with a 300kmh speedo...see if that makes a difference. Although it may be the speedo drive cable itself.

  • wow beautiful looking R32 GTR

  • wow no wheel spin at launch... very nice

  • Of cuz no since R32 is AWD.

  • it's not awd, it's rear unless the front loses grip. Duh

  • the fronts wheels will kick in on a hard launch, although he may have rwd toggle switch.

  • MY DREAM CAR!!!

  • cool you got Jasma parts......dear got, jasma mean it passes anti-polution test in japan, its not a brand of header or downpipe or any other parts. your vid still be great.

  • lol, i know its funny, people think that it's some elite JDM aftermarket part, haha

  • The Dump and Front pipes are made my Trust / GReddy, the exhaust was on the car when i bought it, its made my Jasma....Not that I give a stuff who made it...its just not a standard part, which is why i mentioned it ;)

  • This IS my Car.

    This IS a genuine GTR.

As has been mentioned it is easy enough to run the R32 GTR in 2WD.

You can remove the fuse, add an incab switch....or as I did just turn the ignition off as your rolling then turn it back on.

The 4WD (and ABS) light comes on the dash showing it has been disabled....it re-Engages 4WD as soon as you come to a complete stop

  • Hey how does this work? Doesn't it still have a mechanical link to the front wheels, giving it still a small bit of torque?

  • with out the fuse, or awd light off, the car is completely rwd, it only gives drive to front wheels if rears loose traction

  • hicas lockout does not make it 2wd it just cancels the 4 wheel steering.

to make it 100% 2 wheel rwd you just take out the fuse from under the hood. there's also one under the dash somewhere i believe.

  • Its a GTR guys... he has this thing called a HICAS lockout bar so he has RWD

  • what the fuck your all dumb fucks who sound like your 17 and never owned a real car and know fuck all if u know anything about skylines does that sond like a fukin gtst?

  • this car is a gtr i have an r32 gtr myself and had a gtst type m turbo for two years the gtr has 10,000rpm on the tacho and the gtst has 9,000rpm the gtr can be used with 100% rear wheel drive but a switch has to be wired in first.

  • also notice the recv limiter goes to redline in 8k not 7k like the gtsts. the grill is slotted also. if it is a gtst then it is frickn quick mate. nice one.

  • for all of you who are whinging that this isnt a gtr because it is doping a rwd skid, go home. he clearly has it switched to rwd, as clearly explained by 4 others. there is many ways to do it. go learn your cars befor you start telling people shit you dont know about them :) peace.

  • you can however put a switch on either of them, this isnt a gts4 tho, rather easy to tell . you can also turn your car off when your rolling forward and then restart it, this will also disable 4wd.

  • this is not a gtr, the r32gtr spec has 4wheel drive, am i wrong? this defenitley has not.

  • , this is a gtr, he is a 2wd switch so you can turn attessa off. , learn your cars before you comment. you just have no idea is all :)

  • so what proves its a gtr? anyone can say there that there gs-t is a gtr, just driving with the switch on 2wd. about 90 procent of the swedish and danish skylines have the gtr sign at the back.

  • R32 gts4's also have this switch, learn your cars.

  • no, neither of them have them stock, i drive a gtr .

  • Man, I love your old R31 GTS2, you sold it to my bro. My bro made the biggest mistake selling it to some fuckhead!

  • Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence. ;)

  • what's the name of the song ? nice r32 dude;)

  • beautiful car, but do you ever worry about tearing it up? or do you have so much money that it doesnt really matter?

  • "short shifting" it like he was, (Stock they can handle 10Krpm, for short bursts, RB26 has a insanely short stroke, some built stock stroke engines rev to 12K on drag tracks) I'm not worried about long term reliability, especially considering he replaced the ceramic turbos for a pair of turbos the same size, with steel impellers.

Basically hes' just bulletproofed is only weak link at his current power level. Aside form a clutch.

  • Memphis35 needs his head to be monkey stomped =)

  • That's very true.

  • Sorry but Superchargers are the new Turbochargers. Sound way better.

  • I heard superchargers aren't as effective as turbochargers though...

  • Depends on the application I guess. Irrespective of this, S/C still sound better.

  • Geez...we get our fair share of seppos on Youtube. Memphis35..educate yourself...you may even say something useful one day.

  • what you herd is true, turbo chargers work off free energy to power the engine, Superchargers take some power away from the engine to make a little extra power so your correct.

  • Who the fuck told you this?

Superchargers and Turbochargers work differently! You can actually have a twin charged engine; turbo and super charged.

The super charger works mechanically; via belts, gear or shaft; the turbo works off the exhaust gases. P.S I think HKS turbos sound way better than any charger (not blower) I've heard.

  • All turbos sound the same, if they're the same size. What your hearing is the turbulence on the cold side of a turbo. That's why they whistle.

And sound? Who the hell cares how a turbo sounds? Its' all about making the power baby, and where its' made!

  • anyone who uses the word "baby" in a sentence to someone other than their girlfriend is a fag.

  • Are you hitting on me?

  • No, I'm just implicitly saying that you're gay cunt. Any questions?

  • a*****

  • Oh so your lonely. I get it. Sorry, don't swing that way.

  • lol

  • Wrong, superchargers tax power to make power. Turbos use energy that would otherwise be wasted.

If you like the constant whine of a supercharger then go for it.

    Whistle > Whine

  • Superchargers sound like garbage...whiney ass garbage lol.

  • A wog. Lol!. Bad diss, but at least your somewhat educated.

  • Thanks nigger

  • You're an idiot. Gee some of the things I read in youtube are utter stupidity.

As far as real efficiency goes

    #1. Turbocharger

    #2. Centrifugal Supercharger

    #3. Twin-Screw Supercharger

    #4. Roots-Type Supercharger

    #5. Eccentric-Vane Supercharger

  • Owned you retard. fuck you memphis

  • #1 goes to Variable Geometry Turbochargers ;) you get maximum boost at lower rpms and better engine response

  • i like how you call it a fairly standard car

so its running standard crown and pinion and bottom end thats about it :p

not a hater far from it but its not standard either :D

  • 'Everything' is as it came from the factory, except.

    Air filters

    Exhaust

And the turbos, which are the same size as the factory ones only steel wheeled, the factory ones were replaced with these when I bought the car as 17yr old Factory 'Ceramic' wheeled turbos are ticking timebombs...

I have no doubt the standard turbos would produce the same power....but for how long!

  • have you had it on a dyno yet

  • Yes reletively standard, I replaced the Factory ceramic wheel turbos for some Garretts which are similar in size but steel wheeled (more reliable). Other than that the 'only' mods are Exhaust and Air filters.

ECU, Injectors, Cams, Clutch etc etc are all factory items.

In the world of GTRs that is as standard as it gets :)

  • nice R32 GTR man

  • Yes it goes alright for what is still a fairly standard car!.

Has PFC on it now 400rwHP and runs 11.9 @ 120mph

  • you told that you changed turbos and ecu and injectors etc etc... but why you didnt only changed the turbos, the clutch and give a chip to ur ecu. stds injector and cams are capable of 600whp with a GOOD boost controler and a VERY GOOD tuning. but you need to change the exhaust cuz youll have to much restrictino in the catflow

  • stfu please
