Very tragic. One thing comes to mind .... "birth control." Some people should not be procreating, to bring young people into a world where they are unwanted and will live in misery, and where life could end in tragedy. To bring a human being into existence when you will only throw them to the wolves after they are born, is inhumane. I am glad someone is caring for these children.
I will say on here the same thing I sent in a message as a reply. This: A homeless youth shouldn't be getting herself mixed in with the local thugs then. She should be applying for all the aid she could get through both government and private legit people online at her local library.
i feel bad for the kids but what am i supposed to do? i live in the uk where we have so many of our own kids out on the streets facing the same problems every day, no doubt everyone who was sent this video see's homeless people every day too, whether they're young or old they're just as much at risk of violence, drugs and possibly murder whether they're homeless or not. no ones ever really safe it's a sign of bad times.

I have been involved with this sort of issue for years and have seen what one caring person can do. We are our brother's keeper. Many of the youth I work with are gang kids and also gay youth who have been largely ignored or tormented by those who do it in God's name. I have prevented Christian youth, as young as 12, from committing suicide because they felt so abandoned
if everyone was treated equally, and we all had enough love, nobody would do such horrid things to one another...they would all be happy, and the greedy people who would subject others like that despite a perfect world, could just have their heads cut off, sounds just fine to me, anything to avoid misery such as this...worldwide.

Coming from the streets myself, I've lost more than a few friends & its never easy. Its terrible to think it happens, but sometimes when you're alone out there, you're REALLY alone. Conditions in shelters don't always ALLOW for help. There is overcrowding, body lice infestations, violence, & a BIG factor is in most shelters is age restriction & that you can't have pets, & all LOT of us do.
So sometimes the next best thing is sleeping in groups outdoors, hoping the police wont harrass you first, then society next. Sometimes that option isn't there, & then you're left alone AND vulnerable. My heart goes out to April, & her street family. Hope you can make very positive change to some of the conditions in your shelters with the funds taken in from the new charity in her name.

I understand the homeless shelters are located where the need is but can yall try this? Establish a place away from where all the need is perhaps buy an old wal mart convert it to a new type of shelter encorporate some recycling industry wher you will earn money and have schools to teach something where going to work is a matter of getting infront the computer reason you dont need a car nice clothes just a computer and a I hookup.
Grits,ramen noodle,oat meal, add bacon bits sugar tobasco WE you like to dress up those base meals, a loaf of bread dozen eggs can go a long way.You can be homeless and not be disrespectable have a bike with a lock so when you stash your gear to go to town you look like a person riding a bike. Learn to wash clothes groom yourself and you could pull it off unil you save enough to buy your own land.
Every person needs to learn survival skills to keep out of the cities when they fall into homelessness. The City is where you can find a hand up but it is where all the killers are too. I would rather stealth camp spending my days in the library chilling on the computer than be in a place like NYC where all the predators are located. Seealth camping can occur with as little as $50 in gear you will be sheltered from rain and can cook using alcohol stoves. Sorry about April.
Kids from dysfunctional families, UNwanted children, irresponsible pregnancies, abortion not being properly at hospitals...and these poor kids end up on the streets.
This will be reposts by ME, and others should do the same to get more awareness of what has happened to APRIL.
Teenagers should NOT be victims of crimes, they should be going to parties, texting, and riding motorcycles Atvs, and anything else others enjoy doing.

I understand the homeless shelters are located where the need is but can yall try this? Establish a place away from where all the need is perhaps buy an old wal mart convert it to a new type of shelter encorporate some recycling industry wher you will earn money and have schools to teach something where going to work is a matter of getting infront the computer reason you dont need a car nice clothes just a computer and a I hookup.

Grits,ramen noodle,oat meal, add bacon bits sugar tobasco WE you like to dress up those base meals, a loaf of bread dozen eggs can go a long way.You can be homeless and not be disrespectable have a bike with a lock so when you stash your gear to go to town you look like a person riding a bike. Learn to wash clothes groom yourself and you could pull it off unil you save enough to buy your own land.

Every person needs to learn survival skills to keep out of the cities when they fall into homelessness. The City is where you can find a hand up but it is where all the killers are too. I would rather stealth camp spending my days in the library chilling on the computer than be in a place like NYC where all the predators are located. Seealth camping can occur with as little as $50 in gear you will be sheltered from rain and can cook using alcohol stoves. Sorry about April.

Kids from dysfunctional families, UNwanted children, irresponsible pregnancies, abortion not being properly at hospitals...and these poor kids end up on the streets.

Teenagers should NOT be victims of crimes, they should be going to parties, texting, and riding motorcycles Atvs, and anything else others enjoy doing.
