  • Hahaha....A true beauty right there!

  • That... is ... AWSOME!!!

  • only in canada

  • @TheCanadamerican I live in the US. ;-)

  • @web4deb no way! are you canadian?

  • @TheCanadamerican Nope. Believe it or not, Americans can play stake too! ;-)

  • @web4deb but apparently you can't spell. also us canadians just hit the pond and giv'r. None of this, we need a smooth surface...although it does help.

  • @web4deb you sure scared the hell out of us in the olympics finals you did a great job and you have a great hockey team kudos!

  • @web4deb lol no they cant

  • @web4deb Who says stake Canadians say puck or hockey , sick zamboni

  • @web4deb must be why it runs like shit ;)

  • Why he just does not use a standard hose to refresh the ice ?

  • that is awesome you have the blade, hot water and a towel, good job. I am going to use a floor scrubber this year from my rink, the brush sweeps the snow away, hot water goes down and the vacuum control water volume and the sqeeqee does its shit.

  • thats awesome :P

  • Awesome!

  • good ole snappers.. what cant they do?

  • @tomboehmpdot LOL You're close! This was a Craftsman....but for all I know, it was made by Snapper.

  • kooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • Great video

  • @TheSkatezz Thanks! Make sure you check out my version 2 video!

  • where can i buy?!

  • what did you use as the scraper and how did you set up the water application thing

  • @irishpride1213 I just took a piece of steel stock and ground down an edge into it. Then welded a frame to mount the blade into. The ware is a piece of copper tubing with a bunch of holes drilled into it.

  • that machine is awesome..good job

  • anyone know what kind of rear engine mower that is?

  • @erikbarrett85 It's an old Craftsman mower from the early 80's that had a bad engine. I think it was 7.5HP. I replaced it with a surplus motor for a Delta pressure washer...around 4.5HP

  • Well done

  • send it to VANCOUVER !!

  • hehe. I bet it does a better job than the one they used for the speed skaters!

  • Haha I love it! :D

  • I saw the first Zamboni at a rink in Paramount Calif. owned by the Zamboni family.

  • Cool the zamboni family owns my ice rink

  • @JDbear88

    Where?

The one in Paramount was cool - there was a glass balcony where an organ player sat and played live music - it was like stepping back in time. My wife & I met on rollerskates, and later started ice skating together (I learned ice skating before rollerskating - in Southern California!

  • How wierd, same here, except in northern cali

  • Coool XD

  • nice pond

  • This thing is amazing! I've been trying to figure out how to make one for a while now. looks like this may be the ticket

  • nice!!

  • thats on cool zamboni

  • If you can weld, you can reverse the blade to cut instead of scrape (though you'd need runners to control depth-of-cut). AWESOME work! You ought to be proud. I've been considering making one for the local elementary school.

  • I use to have it set in reverse but it really had a problem bouncing on the ice. I have a new scraper tray on it that I'ved loaded with bricks....works great! It's best for just breaking off the high bumps and let the water do the real smoothing. Thanks for the great comment.

  • lol

  • wow cool!!!

  • the tires should be flat.

  • The front tires are solid rubber so I can't change them. The rear ones have almost no air in them so they can't get much flatter. Thanks a lot!

  • your welcome XD

  • that wouuld be soo much easier than shoveling it and it would make the surface way better to play on

  • that is awesome.

  • that is so cool i want to build one for my uncles rink

  • nein, diese zamboni wäre fürn rosenheimer kuhstall viel zu gut..;-)

  • Rosenheims neue Eismaschine

  • lol i used to have that same sears tractor,,

  • cool...not bad!

  • lol

  • WOW cool!

  • that is wicked sick

    nice idea

  • hill billy

  • C'mon now give em this one, Thats cool, HOakey but cool

  • it is really cool tho lol

  • that's great. very resourceful!

  • nasty bro

  • lol

  • check out my video !

  • to much work for that small little rink......heres a hint: peice of plywood and a hose with spray nozzle

  • That "small little rink" is now 45x80'. The blade has no problem scraping off any imperfections that are in the ice. Adding water this way allows for a far thinner coat and you can skate on it right away, unlike using a garden hose. Plus there's the "Wow" factor when people see this think working!

  • WOW..your own Zamboni!! you rock!!

  • That's pretty cool!

  • That thing is dumb ancient hahaha

  • hahahahaha! dumb ancient.

better than shovelin and hosin dude

  • HAHA nice

    ^^

  • haha cool

  • i should get one of those for my skating rink. brilliant

  • Brilliant!

  • OMAN i wish I had one of these babies for the ponds in my backyard in wintertime!! sick!!

  • how did you make it it is awsome person

  • can someone say redneck?

    lol jk

  • Hey im building a zamboni too for a school porject just woundering what was the size of your rink and how many liters or gallons does the tank hold thanks

  • Rink size is 50x80 feet and holds about 8,000 gallons. Tank holds 30. I usually just use the Zamboni to scrap the ice and then use a hose to apply water...however applying the water from the tank does make it very smooth!

  • i want to roll in one of those LOL

  • how do you pick up the snow?

  • can you teach me how to make a ice resurficer?

  • when did u make it?

  • that is AWSOME

  • haha cool

  • how did you make that rink?

  • I huge tarp for the liner over a 4" PVC pipe border. Rink size is 50x80'

  • is it a towel? (the red thingy)

  • Yup...an old bath towel. Watch for a new video this year...I've rebuilt this baby and it's better than ever!

  • This is fricking sweet

  • sweet! how'd you make that it would of been hard

  • OH migosh, I hope my husband doesn't see this. He just made a "home-boni" and now will want to rig up one of his Gravely tractors like this!!!

  • thats awesome, my friend and his dad put up a rink every year and instead of shoveling the snow off all the time and then flooding it with a hose, one of those would be perfect.

  • lol that is beast! a?...

  • hahah SWEEET DUDE

  • Why don't I have that thing :( lol:)

  • Good thinking.

  • Awesome. Going to attempt my first rink next winter. How big is your rink?

  • Rink is 38x56. Holds about 4000 gallons of water. We're planning on doubling it for next year!

  • How long did it take to fill with water? I was thinking of making mine about 45x55. Think its gonna be big enough?

  • That size is plenty big enough for a group of people to skate on. I fill ours once our temps stay below freezing and will usually will flood about 1/2" at a time. If you have any holes in your tarp, it will leak out and you'll waste all your water!

  • Thanks for the information. I just found a site online where people talk about backyard rinks and give out ideas and suggestions. My wifes uncles own an outdoor equipment show, so im going to see if I can get an old junker tractor and maybe make my own ice resurfacer.
