  • Nice I live in queens! I never knew tubes were made in long island city... Russia and china can kiss my ass

  • Who else would love to work as a petal tester...

  • yes! ask mr otto

  • I have never seen such a mess in my live. The boss doesn't know what burning-in the tubes is good for, an engineer designing equipment in a kind of junkyard. This doesn't look like a quality enterprise at all.Now I understand why all Elektro-Harmonix tubes I've tried were either dead on arrival, malfunctioning or dead after a short period.

  • bought two pedals from ehx an electric mistress and a holy grail. The electric mistress broke in 31 days (figures just a day after i could return it). The holy grail failed in two months and stopped working. Contacted ehx and they never answered their phones or my emails so i could redeem my warranty on the pedals. I thought i was gonna get quality pedals but all i got was crap. Their pedals might sound cool, but their quality sucks, their tone suckers, and produce a huge amount of hum.

  • I thought oompa loompas were working in that factory, and singing

    ommpa loompa, doompadee doo,

ive got the perfect pedal for you.

  • The only 2 times in my life I bought brand new tubes and they were dead were Electro Harmonix. I would like to trust them but I have been shit out of luck at a gig after changing out some tubes.

  • mish maaaaash,,,,,terrible cunt

  • yall are going to think im retarted but, the guy they talked to about making to pedal sounds, what kind of engineer is he?

  • @TheMetalmaniac94 Footjob specialist

  • I am amazed to see a manufacture in the USA. Most American major manufacturing companies contract with assembly in China. Far as diode vacuum tubes, such tubes are unstable and not reliable as transistors along with a higher cost factor to the customer. I have seen many problems with guitarist having so many problems with their tube amps on stage. Go transistorize!

  • @patsaxon Pat, hey...what's an organ dude like me doing over here in pedal heaven(LOL)? I was going to ask about whether EH would ever consider making an organ. You should know from organ electronics electrolytic capacitors are the big problem after years of drying out. You say,'diode tubes'. Actually, most tube amps have done away with diode tube rectifiers, but some players prefer the tube rectifiers because they 'mush' the attack of the note. My dad broke my 5U4 tube & soldered in 2 diodes

  • @patsaxon A lot of Jazz guitarists do use solid state amps, but for most everybody else, only tube amps deliver 'the' sound.

  • awesome !

  • aaaaw fuck, i jizzed like 26 seconds after that video started.

Glowing tubes are like the sunrise :O theres nothing in the world which is that beautiful :O

  • I love the smell of vacuums in the morning!

  • Welcome propaganda :D I want all their engineering stuff :D

  • that's kinda place i'd like to be working!

  • Since when did EHX make one 3rd of all amp tubes? I want some! :D

  • Все брехня, в мире мощности для производства остались только в России. Все лампы произведены в России, просто на них маркировку наносят какую заказчик пожелает.

  • cool I have Mesa Boogie 400+ bass heads and I run EH power tubes that were made in russia.

    LOVE IT

  • Gotta drop by LIC one of these days!

  • I wish they would make the Sovtek Mig amps again! -PK

  • wow amazing, those woman do not have a clue how bad id like a job there, they have a fucking cockatoo!

  • @5Spekter I also have a "cockatoo"

  • my dream job

  • no-one really looks like they know what they are doing. they probably have a staff of 400 uumpa luumpas,or chinese women, that do everything by hand. And it probably takes 2 days to design a pedal.

  • so jewish

  • EH is the best. Mike Matthews is quite the character. Moved to Russia after closing EH (the first time) in NY. Married a Russian czarina! That's why he has pedals and tubes made in Russia. I hope he has kids to pass this place on to.

  • Gimme a job!! :D

  • i wish i could have a lot of those tubes

  • so this is like porn for analog gear whores?...i enjoyed it

  • how do u no if the tube is broken or on it's way out!

  • @ChrisFreddo far as i know having used them for close to 20 years they work when they light up-and dont when they dont -its kind of like a light bulb

  • not true. if you have to ask, change your power tubes now.

  • What's the address to their location? I tried looking on Google but it wasn't listed... I live in Brooklyn as well I would love to go check it out there..

  • love this. anyone know where you can get a sovtek amp nowadays?

  • no wonder they lose stuff- great video

  • poor last bloke in a room full of mess;

it must feel just as it looks:

be inside a huge junkyard oh boy

  • the place is a mess...its fucking awesome!

  • She is so fine

  • can i steal one pedal of every sort they have? in this big factory nobody would recognize:D makes me cry to see all these pedals unused:D

  • wowee

  • I wonder how many pedals I could fit it my pocket at the end of the day?

  • @FordBurden Maybe 2 Nano pedals... I'd suggest bringing a bag :P

  • heaven........ahhhhhhhhh.....

i could live in there..i wanna be the pedal test dude.....

  • Workspace is a mess !! Love it !

  • I like it.

  • i love effect pedals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but btw someone needs to delete the spam comments on here!!

    peace

  • very cool little vid...thanks!

  • what has this video got to do with porn?

  • This video has a lot to do with porn..

  • awesome

  • at 3:26 it looks like a russian big muff, i thought they're made in russia, and this was new york wasn't it ???

  • Those are all Bass Big Muff Pi's. Not russian muffs.

  • The Bass Big Muff is almost identical in circuitry to the Russians. I think the Russian is a bit cheaper and def comes in a cooler box. Get someone with a soldering gun to toss in a DC Input and you're laughing!

  • What a shit house, you guys need organization WTF.

  • Love it. The place is a freaking mess, piles of crap all over. That's always been the grungy EHX way.. their factory looks like their pedals sound. Sorta chintzy, but comfortable, etc.

  • I want a job there!

  • me too dude!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great video, love that big muff!

  • Just love'm! Ahh the smell of fresh tubes in the mornin' :F

Anyways, this is why EH rocks and is like Carlsberg (they make probably the best guitar fx in the world) ;]

  • The engineer seems like he's bored out of his mind from this job. He just can't wait to get out of there, but with the world melting down, he knows he's stuck.

  • That's the way Engineers are actually :)

  • "handsome bucket of wierdness" pure poetry

  • at least these are made in america,,the price is worth knowing that at supporting american companies

  • have got a hq in Australia? coz it basicaly my dream job

  • great

  • Awesome! 5 starts from "The Blue Tube Project"

  • there was a conspicuous lack of face melting guitar solos in this segment

  • Very interesting!

  • VERY NICE...

  • what do they use vacuum tubes for ?? I haven't seen a vacuum tube in a couple decades.

  • guitar amps are one thing.

  • for distortion.

  • @victor2cutube Guitar amps and high-end audio gear mostly.

  • electro-harmonics pedals are good ...but they are so over-priced for one pedal theres a price of 200 or even 300 euro what the????

  • Yeah but the video shows they go through a whole process. they make sure every pedal works 100%. They don't make these on a conveyor belt, lol

  • i find that most of them are really cheap like the big muff is about $70 in some stores. they dont make too many that are 200, 300 dollars.

  • except the pedals that have tubes in them...

or the electro harmonix HOG and POG...

    mr. stratocastermaster2...

  • Or you could hire 150 chinese schoolchildren to make Line 6 multi-effects-emulators for a fraction of the cost. And you could motivate them with beatings. Quality-control beatings!

  • i agree with taht... a lot of what you are saying is true....for just a quick buck they will hire childrens what a mentality.....i hate to thin about that but that's the truth in mass production companies..

  • Chinese children could assemble the American Fender stuff as well and you wouldn't know the difference. What's your point?

  • very interesting... i enjoy a good old vintage sound.

  • The young lady, is she married? A woman who works with pedals on EHX, what a dream!!! Hahahaha!!! Great vid!!!

  • soy tan fanAtico de los pedale spero tengo 1 re malulo...

xD skdoskjskojdfad q fome la wea d comentario

  • Hi Bosseree,

I was just answering a comment that was in PORTUGUESE.

I was just commenting abou the engineer's table.

    Hugs

  • it was a joke

    gosh

  • Gosh for you too! :-D

I've seen your video playing drums- you're good- John Boham! ;-)

  • Vintage rules!!! no sound like the old sound

  • essa fábrica é uma bagunça, viu a mesa do engenheiro?

  • lol

  • That engineer John is kinda hot.

  • But his office looks like my workshop in my basement...lol...

  • great video, quite interesting...thanks for posting this and have a great day.

  • fun stuff!

  • Great video by the way, youtube needs a lot more of this type of interesting and informative video content!...(Please, tell me you didn........alright I'll shut up!!!!)

  • Tell me you didn't really film a shop floor that makes and test's tube's for guitar amplifiers and effects pedals, without actually playing a guitar through an amp and pedal equipped with said tube's...please tell me that didn't happen?

  • fantastic people=fantastic products. looks like a fun place to work.

  • Awesome tour of EHX! This absolutely made my day.

  • I knew that I knew the music!
