  • CLASSIC !!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • this shit is too old for me to bother watching it ....

  • @TheMastaN1 Just because a film's old doesn't mean it's not worth watching.

  • @SpiderKing389 man i dont watch anything under 2000 :]]]

  • @TheMastaN1 Haha, there's only a handful of "modern" films I really watch, other than that, I'm all for the classics haha

  • @SpiderKing389 yea most of the new ones are bullshit but anything under 2000 makes me feel old :D:D:D

  • @TheMastaN1 But the creature effects back then were ACTUALLY built to work in front of the camera, films today just rely on CG.

  • @104dragonman yea man but this movie just dosent scare me i dont know what it is maybe i have watched too many horror movies and and im imune to them,no matter which one i watch now i just fall asleep, maybe the grudge freaks me out coz little chineese boys with white faces are scary :D

  • I actually enjoyed the rob zombie remake. i mean this version is awesome and better of course..but zombie put a spin on it and made it focus more on michael meyers life

  • In my own opinion: I think Rob Zombie's Halloween movies makes this one tacky. But this one is good, but in this one, Dr. Loomis is a jerk. I like the new Dr. Loomis better. :)

  • @CarllovesBatman You have to be kidding me right? The old Dr. Loomis played by Donald Pleasence was the best. The new one is okay but the old one is the best. RIP Donald Pleasence aka Dr. Loomis

  • @kingbjohnson I'm not kidding. Donald was a jerk untill it came to Hallloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers. After that, well-- that's when he passed away. :(

  • is this movie scary at all?

  • @MikeRowland96

This is seriously the only movie that still gives me chills since I became an adult. It's an absolut classic, as scary now as it was when I was but a boy.

  • 0:33 tell me that kid killed a person.

  • bad trailer

    GOOD Movie .

  • John Carpenter understood how to make a good horror film. He was great at creating the right atmosphere! A lot of horror directors today just don't get that. Too much of that gross out stuff these days. I love a horror director who appreciates the use of shadows, lighting / darkness and one who toys with the idea of what may be lurking in that "darkness" Carpenter hit all of the proper marks with this film!!!

  • Actually Dr. Loomis said, maybe someone gave him lessons.

  • best horror movie ever

  • Halloween 78' is way better then Rob Zombie's, Rob Zombie's is not scary at all.

  • I like it how they say the movie name like several times

  • I LOVE ALL THE HALLOWEEN MOVIES except the 3rd one lol its stupid!

  • I'M ONLY 24 YEARS OLD BUT I GREW UP LOVING THIS MOVIE..THE 1978 JOHN CARPENTER'S HALLOWEEN IS THE BEST HORROR MOVIE EVER...HANDS DOWN...I LOVE THE EXORCIST BUT ITS SECOND TO THIS

  • If you're a old school horror movie fan =) go watch the "Nasty Horror flick a day" page on facebook !

  • He can drive a car because it's easy as fuck and anyone can do it except dumb asses from the 21st century who get speeding tickets drink text and have sex while driving idiots these days on the road

  • I've wondered how could Michael Myers drive a car since he was institutionalized for 15 years , since he was 6 years old?

  • @890slay I've never thought about it, a pretty good question....

  • @890slay They gave an explanation in the movie, someone in the institute taught him.

  • @SeekingOutTomorrow You mean this movie? If so I can't recall that part, but if you are talking about the sequels I haven't seen them all, and therefore I can't remember. Besides the sequels are (most of the ones I watched) pure crap. They spoiled the classic just because of its success and decided to earn some extra money out of the idea, but it turned out to be a total disappointment, a pattern we observe in most good slasher movies.

  • @890slay No, it's in the original (this one) :) I promise, ha ha.

  • This movie started my craze for horror movie. Michael slices lauries arm. She falls over the railing. Michael stars down the steps to collect his latest victim. John Carpenter's "The Shape Stalks Laurie" cereeply plays. Orgasmic.

  • A fucking classic, one of the best horror movies ever made. Also am I the only one that noticed that there was like no blood used in this movie? This movie is the true meaning of suspense!

  • does michael actually appear on this one? or is it just like the first friday the 13th movie where the killer never shows up .?

  • @martmelee Michael appears as a 6 year old boy in the very beginning of the movie, and is a 21 year old throughout the rest of the film. This is not like Friday the 13th. He's also referred to as "the Shape," and "The boogeyman," which is another difference between Friday the 13th and Halloween.

  • 0:32 the kid behind the clown mask seems so innocent and harmless compared to the one in the newer version

  • just to let you guys know, this was jamie lee curtis very first movie.

  • @solverrevolver Don't forget David Cronenberg's remake of 'The Fly'! And 'A Fistfull Of Dollars' was a remake of 'Yojimbo.'

  • i love this movie so much yet hated h20 with such a passion that i cannot help but become angry looking at this

and im gonna say it, jamie lee curtis is FUCKING HOTTTTTTTTT!!!!

  • @snooglesnarf I didn't really like H20 the first time around, but after having recently watched it again I thought it was really good! It was cool to see Jamie Lee in the film with her mother Janet Leigh and I loved how she decided to end Michael once and for all! Resurrection was the nail in the Halloween coffin until Rob Zombie came along and fucked things up even further. Now a lot of kids today will think that Myers is a redneck psycho with mommy issues, instead of evil incarnate!

  • @paulod27 you seem like a nice enough guy but your opinion is gay. sure jamie lee made h20 a little more tollerable because she's still friggin hott but h20 is an abomination. and as for your opinion of rob zombie's remakes: it is preternaturally gay. zombie's vision was ingenius all the way into the second movie. he took michael myers to a much deeper, psychotic, evil place and i love the connection he had with his mother. once again your opinion is gay, not you, friend.

  • i love this movie so much yet hated h20 with such a passion that i cannot help but become angry looking at this

  • 1:33 michael is all short about it., the new michael is tall as hell.

  • @killtheRyder The original Michael Meyers was a supernatural force, that's why he was called "The Shape." The new Michael is just an overgrown psychopath. He might as well be Leatherface.

  • Scary? ahaha this movie was boring. I've seen better. Im going for Rob Zombie.

Don't even think about to troll back on my comment, Im just saying what i like!

  • U just mad cuz it's true

  • I think the Halloween remake is better cause it shows more about the story

  • This is how real horror is made folks.

  • the only 1 person who dislikes this must be rob zombie since his movie sucked and wanted to improve lot better, but he can't match this cult classic ... this is the example of a brilliant low-budget independent horror movie!

  • Hey guys! Me and my best friend are gonna watch a horror movie on halloween on our own in the dark in my living room with the sound of my tv up to 100. We are thinking about watching either halloween or a freddie kruger movie or one the paranormal activities what do you guys think?:)

  • @001Minxy Try watching a Freddy and This one, they both are major WINS. Paranormal activity, not so much.

  • @heyh2o oh ok thanks . But i thought paranormal activity was SCARY?x

  • i havnt seen 1 good remake ever in my life that was even okay they are all awful

  • @chasemoviereviews Remakes that are better than the original don't exist, because they're remakes. ;-) The worst remake ever is War of the World by Spielberg, imho..

  • @TrashTrailers What about John Carpenter's remake of The Thing, or David Cronenberg's remake of The Fly?

  • @TrashTrailers I disagree, The 80s Scarface is better than the 30s Scarface

  • @TrashTrailers The thing remake is way better than the original.

  • @TrashTrailers I'll beg to differ. For instance, Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven is far enjoyable than the original, and while it is not technically a remake, 1959's Ben-Hur is a tad better than 1925's.

But yeah, about Rob Zombie's remakes... it was unnecessary...

  • @TrashTrailers I disagree with you somewhat, yes remakes suck, but there are some good ones and War of the Worlds 2005 wasn't that bad. Like some good remakes were The Hills Have Eyes (sorta) True Grit, The Thing (John Carpenter), and True Lies which is a remake of La Totale! The best remakes however are the ones Alfred Hitchcock does, to his own movies.

  • @TrashTrailers not true. The remakes of Dawn of The Dead, The Ring, and The Thing (john carpenter) were better than the original. I mean of course, we should give props to the original for the ideas, but everything was better portrayed in the remakes.

  • @TrashTrailers The Amityville Horror remake wasn't that bad...

  • @chasemoviereviews There are good remakes. Cape Fear, The Thing, ScarFace, Dawn of the Dead, The Ring and quite a few others. Get your shit together man!

  • @paulod27 your right i was just pissed because everyone is making remakes and i dont understand why they just make something of there own for once and your right there have been good remakes i also enjoyed the karati kid

  • @chasemoviereviews Your also correct in saying that remakes are overdone. At your age I am surprised at your love for the original films as much because you are growing up with the remake versions. It is nice to see that you are watching the originals and showing your appreciation for them. You can't touch the classics that's for sure! Have you ever thought about going to film school later on? That's what I am doing and it's amazing! Especially if you are passionate about films.

  • @paulod27 i am gunna go to film school im in 9th grade so as soon as high school is over i am and remakes come no were near originals i have always thought that even if the remakes are good

  • @chasemoviereviews Good luck with Film school when it's your time! I think the good thing about remakes are that they allow people to experience the originals if they have not seen them otherwise. They make them because of the nostalgia factor for older viewers and they try to bring them to a new audience who haven't seen the originals. It usually just opens curiosity for people to go and watch the originals again! For some reason we all love repetition and the studios are aware of this fact.

  • @chasemoviereviews Have you ever seen John Carpenter's remake of The Thing, or David Cronenberg's remake of The Fly? Most people consider them to be classics.

  • Nope not ALL are awful, dawn of the dead, the fly, flight of the phoenix, true grit, Ocean's 11, and 3:10 to yuma are all good ones

  • @chasemoviereviews John Carpenter's The Thing was a Remake of the one from the 50's and it was Pretty Awesome

  • @chasemoviereviews havnt u ever seen THE FLY?

  • @chasemoviereviews but i can say that the Rob Zombie remake of this film was pretty okay... well that's for me.. XD

  • @chasemoviereviews The remakes of the 2000s suck. That's for sure.

  • This movie was so boring first and almost made me fall asleep but later in the movie it gets alot scarier and better and it makes up for the boring part earlier in the movie.

    Go watch it!

  • Halloween is the best evil movie

  • I remember seeing all of THREE SECONDS of this movie on a documentary.

I had trouble sleeping for weeks.

  • This is how a good scary movie is made sit down watch and leave the light on it is a truly scary movie!

  • No other horror movie will ever top '78's Halloween. Carpenter scared without the gore, left an impact on the movie world that many have tried to duplicate, yet never could quite master the brilliance of this movie. My halloween tradition for years.

  • 1 people died by Michael Myers

  • Best horror producer: wes craven.

  • Movie scary as hell !!! but awesome

  • 1978 Halloween was good. Even if its old its still scary. for a 30 years old movie...

But the remake is awsome too. I cant get bored of it. i dont understand why people cry and say oh its a disgrace to the originial, for fuck shakes. Its like you're telling me nosferatu 1922 its the best vampire movie because its the first who came up. lol

  • This is the best horror film and also my favorite movie ever!

  • who ever reads this is gay

  • gostaria de olhar o primeiro de todos o original quando ele era pequeno aparece no começo do video ele criança .muito bom o video

  • h1: best horror movie ever made

h2: really good but nothing compared to the original

    h3: big fail

    h4: comparable to h2

    h5: really really bad

h6: little bit to gory for a halloween sequel but its a decent movie

h20: trying to bring back the h1 feeling with no success. But i like the movie anyway!

h8: michael myers vs busta rhymes...come on!

Remake: disgrace to the original 1978 clasic

  • @Kexlavan I have to agree with you on a few points. H1 is a CLASSIC. A plot line with of this nature was unheard of for 1978. Because H2 took place on the same night, it is good, however, doesn't capture the feel of the first movie. H3? Does that even exsist? H4 had a great plot and good ending. H5? Seriously? I was more concerned for the kitten in the barn. Interesting way that Jamie communicated with Michael. H6 I don't remember. H20 not bad. H8 ha! Remake: WTF?

  • I'm 12 and I like the original series, but, face it,movies these days only get by by remaking movies. Even if Rob Zombie's remakes were good, it's because he can't come up with his own ideas and people haven't even heard of the original.

  • @DAGfilms100

Well said. Now people are trying to mess with stuff that's perfectly fine already. The only original idea I've seen these days is in "The Ring"

  • 0:50 always scared me

  • 1 person is a rob zombie fan. X3

  • Halloween Movies:

h1 (1978)- Awesome Classic and original

    h2 (1981) Still pretty awesome

h3 I'm not even going to say anything abouth this

    h4 still good

h5 getting a little iffy but ok

h6 this is when things started to get stupid

    ressurection- HORRIBLE

    H2O HORRIBLE

Remakes- Really scary but not good at all and it kinda ruined the series

  • @noahfoxx well h20 was good but it wouldve been better if they wouldnt have made 3-6 and expecially Ressurection. why did they have to make Ressurection. they couldnt have just let jamie lee kill micheal and end it all.

  • @iluv80shorror true, true

  • Love this movie one of the best movies of all time :) John Carpenter has inspired me to make movies. Check them out on my channel.

  • one of the greatest movies ever made

  • Any moron who says that Rob Zombie's movies were better than John Carpenter's original has about as much sense as Donald Pleasance has hair!

  • @44excalibur Well said!!! Couldn't agree more.

  • @44excalibur Amén !

  • @44excalibur your a fag

  • @44excalibur rob zombies version was not better because this movie that was made was made perfect. you cannot ever make a movie as good is this. this whole slasher things was developed a lot here and perfected by this movie and of course I think the friday the 13th deserves it respect also. but the second halloween rob zombie was good because he made a new story out of it while the new story he made n the first was not good.

  • @44excalibur i loved rob zombies 1 movie then the 2 i hated it i never saw so bad movie like that

  • @44excalibur ya remake suck original rock

  • @44excalibur That's the thing. People nowadays think horror movies have to be bloody and gory and just WAY overdone. I've seen plenty of horror movies that are bloody as hell, but aren't scary at all. AND they suck

  • @44excalibur hahahaha agreed. i still can't believe that Rob Zombie ruined this franchise tho.

  • Haven't you guys heard. Rob Zombie's Halloween 3D has come to a halt. Production was going to fast.

  • The best Halloween movie of all-time!!

  • "ok, come on out." AHHHH!" FUNNY

  • Halloween 3 SUCKED BIG HAIRY COCK!!!!!!! AND its because it wasn't even in any possible way FUCKING related to the series. They should've just made it as its own individual movie.

  • i'm not saying that this was a bad movie, but, everytime i fall asleep! go Rob zombie for the new one!!!!

  • un vrai classic a ne pas manquer

  • the remake is waaay better than the original.

  • I love the good old Halloween movies :) Michael Myers is my favourite serial killer :)))

  • @kisshulover090 YEAH!!

  • Just watched this movie this morning on Blu ray....amazing

  • why is he called the shape?

  • This movie is fucking lame. the characters are fucking stupid and i think they deserve to die. overall, this is a shitty movie with a dumb plot and bad acting. 1/5 for this junk.

  • @doct0rthrill This movie wasn't fucking lame. It was one of the best horror movies, and still is one of the best.

  • @bphussar mike myers is no human, it's superman. that's dumb.

  • @doct0rthrill I actually don't understand why he's no human. He killed his sister as a 6 year old kid, right?

  • @MrZeegelaar i don't think a human can take 6 bullets in the torso without any need for medication. why not make myers fly and shoot laser beams out his eyes?

  • micheal myers - > freddy - > jason - > leprechaun - > chucky scariest =D

  • this movie was one of the most famouse horror movies of all time, it will be treasured forever.

  • I had a dream the other night that Michael Myers was chasing me. *shudder* Anyway, even though it creeped me out A LOT, I decided I would watch the movie again. It's one of my favorite horror movies. ^_^

  • ¿what movie come after movie?

  • @DanixLoquendo Halloween 2

  • when she fall down the stairs made me laught LOL

  • @jeison69 thats mean!!!

  • That one disliker pissed themself during this movie

  • michael kicks ass!!!! donald pleasance rocks!!!!!!! ^_^

  • no blood on the knofe when as akid lol

  • @Putiputi8080 and Deep Blue Sea, those r ma top 3

  • Based the trailer for my new film, "Sunny Side Up", on this wonderful trailer for this wonderful film. Watch the trailer on my channel.

  • Polo polo está en la película!

  • so fucking scary

  • if I say that this is true horror everyone will thumb up me, if I say that this is a classic but there's still more scary movies than this eveyone will thumb up aswell. Why does people act like that?

  • had a cup of coffee with micheal myers the other day, nice bloke, very deep

  • The remake was better.

  • HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! btw, who watches this movie every halloween :)

  • @atomichead777 i watch this movie every halloween, this one and george a. romero`s night of the living dead =)

  • *Happy Halloween* Remember... Michael Myers is out there lurking tonight!

  • ahh the classics

nowadays movies have to much CGI and thats coming from a kid

the first classic movie i watched was when my dad showed me die hard

now i know the oldies are the goodies no matter what GENRE

  • @ryder1998 100% agree

  • This film is a classic- it still has the same effect it had on me years ago- scares the life out of me, lol! Its just so creepy and full of suspense, in the respect that you never really know when MM is going to appear and the music is some of the best menacing horror music i've heard, even now! Yeah it is a slasher movie to a point but the difference between today and then is that it has certain amount of class to it! It will always be my fave Halloween themed movie regardless !

  • Sammitron's comment is ....como so dice..???.....freakin' retarded.

  • @DVROFFMAN I know, what a fucking dick.

  • Halloween (1978) Halloween II (1981) Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) Halloween: Resurrection (2002) Halloween (2007) Halloween II (2009)

  • michael myers' mask was modeled after william shatner's signature character captain kirk.

  • @ElectricBlueOil

    And its creepy as shit.

  • @ElephantAssViolator true that, bro! I might face immediate criticism for saying this, but I believe the rob zombie remake was just as good as the original. It was the remake of the sequel that sucked chode.

  • A classic scream-fest, Halloween still shakes, rattles and rolls.

  • Plenty of brix were shat when I first saw this. =)

  • When I first saw this movie as a kid, I was so freaked out I couldn't sleep at all that night.

  • this is good even by todays standard, but there are better horror films, and games for that matter (amnesia the dark decent)

  • i like this movie because this can actually happen in real life...well most of it

  • It`s soon the night.... The night HE comes home! On Halloween night Michael Myers may be lurking around YOUR neighborhood! The TRICK is to stay alive! HaPpY HalloweeN!

  • Calm down, kiddies, I know it sounds like the adults are bashing your generation by bashing the movies made today. It's not an attack on you or your generation. The fact of the matter is that movies today don't have the same character that they did "back in the day" because movies today are products of board meetings and not products of artists getting together and making a unique, interesting film. It's not your fault that movies today suck. You do, however, have the power to change them.

  • @igottabigwon 100% agree!

  • @igottabigwon so true lol, i'm 16 and i think movies were way better back when this came out

  • lol just wondering and just think if they had iphones then what kind of technoligy would we have now>

  • I completely flipped my shit the first time I saw this movie.

  • MICHAEL MYERS is getting ready to do some trick or treating next weekend......

  • The best Horror movies from the 70's and 80's were more psychological (made you think) like.... The Exorcist, The Amityville Horror, Poltergeist, and Halloween, when you can walk out of a theatre and still think about the movie, thats a good horror movie! IMHO and wonder "where is the boogie man hiding? "

  • jijijiji esos ojos se parecen a los del quisquirisquis

  • WTF MICHAEL MYERS SCARE ME!!!!!!!!!

  • this is my all time favorite horror film.
