Cats are strict carnivores. This means they get all their nutrients from protein and fat found in meat! Science Diet is awful as its packed full of grains - something cats can't digest properly and can cause some serious health issues later on in life.

Science Diet is horrible. if you switch to a food with lots of meat, it is much better. cats are obligate carnivores, there is almost all plants in SD, barely any meat, the meat that is in it is poor quality. EVO, Blue Buffalo, or By Nature are much better food choices. Try it and see just how much better your pet feels. In above foods there is no wheat/corn/soy products. SD is chicken feed not cat food! I dare you to try others and see the differance it will make in your cats life. thanx

Completely agree furryfriends. We have three dogs and two cats in our home, we feed both our dogs and cats Blue Buffalo, dry food. What a lot of vets and pet store employees do not tell you is that Corn is extremely bad for your dogs and cats. A lot of cats are allergic to corn even. Always find a food that is corn-free, gluton free, etc... Bad foods with corn in them (like Science Diet) can cause dry skin, dandruff, and other allergic symptoms like runny nose, dischrage from eyes, and sneezing.

furryfriends50: I completely agree! My kitten is fed a 100% wet diet which contains no grain and has a high (60%) meat content.
hujanair: They are indeed. I read somewhere that vets can get up to 20% of their income just by promoting/selling Science Diet to owners that don't know any better.
