@MenechemShaul If Yeshua wanted men to grant absolution for all sins (Not just sins committed against each other) he would have said this in the Great commission but he did not! Although in the Gospels he did say if your brother has anything against you to leave your gift at the altar and make peace with him and then come back and offer your gift, this is what James is touching on! I am not arguing against God I am against you and your twisting! Public Confession does not mandate Men Absolving!

@SolaScriptura21 I do not agree with any Elder of any Church giving Absolution! It is un Biblical! Anglicans do this, Lutherans do thus, Polish National Catholics do this, Orthodoxy does this. The only to my knowledge that do not do this is the Baptists and more Biblically Based church's(Pentecostal,Alliance,Messianic et al.).Titus is a Misquote on your part as 3:5 has nothing to do with public confessions but of God's Holy Spirit. We are not to deal with those who are divisive and do good woks.

There is only one point here where I disagree with you on this, and that is with regards to referring to the Westboro Baptist Church as "christians" in the description. The Phelps family are all manifest heretics who corrupt the biblical explanation of original sin and do not observe proper sacramental worship. Their antics with regards to the depravity of Hollywood makes them appear Conservative, but they are about as Christless as modernist, abortion supporting liberals.

@FatherNathan The Father is Spirit, and Jesus is Body. They are ONE, which by definition is a single unit. When you see Jesus, you see the Father. We are not our bodies, we are our spirit. So when you see Jesus, you see not the Body. Isaiah 9:6, Jesus is the EVERLASTING FATHER, MIGHTY GOD! If Jesus was the second Person of the trinity, then that means that Jesus is a separate BEING apart from the father, which would indicate three gods, rather than ONE God, as the Holy Spirit is God, too.

@FatherNathan Besides, Jesus did indeed say, call no man, and that is you, your father, for ONE is your father. The context was in regards to religious leaders, not kin, or father "figures". Religious leaders are called father as a title, just like Jesus was saying in that same passage about Rabbi. It is clear, yet it is discarded by Catholics as if Jesus never stated what he stated. If not for your title of Father, then who, specifically who was Jesus talking about? No Catholic can answer.

Wow. I didn't know about this, but I did know that WBC was protesting at Comic-con too. It's hard to believe such ignorance can still be propagated by people who dare call themselves Christians.
That said, I do not feel as though Christians owe Lady Gaga or anyone else an apology for the actions of the so-called "Church," because the WBC has nothing to do with Christianity. I am still glad there are vocal people out there rallying against their message and positively representing our faith.
