  • I can definitely make a better short than this. Look out for it. At least it might make you smile from time to time. I hope I just don't get thrown out...

  • Im all lost in the supermarket, I cannot longer shop happily :(

I came in here for the special offer, a guaranteed personality!

    Love the lyrics.

  • this is great poetry for modern times. A nice ska beat, too, always loved the Clash and RIP Joe Strummer

  • Don't forget the Spaten Optimator.

  • I just like that this is Wegmans

  • This is where pulp ripped year 2000 from, no doubt.

  • I only see PIttsford and Perinton Wegmans....

  • @elasticxplastic

Pittsford yes, the other Wegmans is Chili-Paul. We got kicked out of most the other ones.

  • Nice piece. Thanks for posting. Love it.

  • Sweetness.

  • this is rock,not punk

  • and so? punk comes from rock, and clash did never just punk songs.

  • Sorry but you don't know what you are talking about. This is as punk as other songs made at the same time. You are judging by the music not by the lyrics.

  • @Draugh39 I just meant it has great rhythm and beat, tone and not screaming which so typifies punk (at times).

  • I would say that the "screaming" is more stereotypic then typifying.

Lot of punk was inspired by other non-mainstream music, such as ska, reggae, folk-music etc. Hell, the Sex Pistols was inspired by ABBA (just look at the guitar track on "Pretty Vacant" and compare that with ABBAs "SOS").

  • ggoooodd ssoonngg, rr..ii..pp jjooee

  • its funny that joe wrote this song but felt like a pussy singing it so he had mick do it.. hahaha

  • ENGLAND

    ENGLAND

you yanks wud show them off if they were from yankieland so stfu

    ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They were influenced by an American Punk Rock band ... the Ramones. It shouldn't be a problem for an American to like a British band so you stfu.

  • True,I'm American I like lots of different bands and singers from England and Canada, but that doesn't limit to me,cause I love my country's rock stuff too.

  • LOL

  • Putain ce Joe Strummer je le maudis chaque jour d'être mort...

  • it sucks... and yep Brixton ... London... the clash ;)

  • Stop this stupid quarrel. The Clash were from everywhere and for everyone. No matter where did they come from:)

  • Countries are but invisible lines drawn through the landscape of the world.

But talented music, that isn't imaginary. They were monumental for punk and all music at the time. I agree with you.

  • look for the inner poet

    footsteps and personality

  • The Clash are not Americans... There from London.

  • moron !! the clash are not yankees !! you lazy sod !!

  • lazy sod hahahaha

  • bueh...pobre

  • He could have seen the video with the Clash playing for the USA soldiers...so he believes they were some war fanatics wrapped with their flag...

I' ve just heard an opinion about this song being inspiration for Pulp's "common people"...what do you think?

  • I <3 this song... and the clash :)

  • did they ask you all to leave?

  • 2:53 is us getting kicked out. 2:57 is us arguing in the parking lot with some random troublemaker.

  • this is a fake the actual video shows the band playing and a other little kid getting lost wearing a london calling t-shirt

  • Now let's think this over for a minute.

Is there even a real video for this song?

    No.

  • that guy on the motor chair looks like nick frost a bit

  • Ok, I'll go with that.

  • Wow, Wilson high school alum and Wegmans.

  • Yes, we make it happen. Are you from Wilson?

  • Yes, I went there.

  • Naaaaaaaaaah this version is better

  • Just think about the Stores like Tisco, safway etc - huge greedy capitalist bastards. MRF - money ridden fuckers

  • lovely song.

  • The one with the long hair was sexier than a rooster with socks. We should totally hook up sometime.

  • Good song. Better than "Rock the Casbah."

  • until reading an interview with Mick, I figured Mick wrote this one, but according to him, Joe did.

  • This is liike one of my fave clash songs....

  • i love this song :]

  • essa musica é muito foda

  • i love the fatass in the power chair, like he needs to keep sitting or something.

  • You'd better respect. That's "Frank The Tank".

  • lol i live near rochester and i shop at that wegmans

  • Pittsford is the largest store, more trouble to cause

  • lol

  • HOLY CR*P!!! THANK YOU!!! I LOVVE..... Just BLISS! :)

  • waste of time newbee

  • Skiing is dumb.

  • no its not

  • yea it is

  • mate seriously its not

  • its really boring, so yea lets just stop this, its stupid to be arguing but your a newbie and you didn't even spell it right, so learn the lingo if your going to use it.

  • calm down dude , i was giving you constructive criticism :)

  • Sorry! I've had many a negative person on this site say my stuff was crap.

But I understand what you mean.

  • random shots really destroy the narrative imagery of the song

  • I didn't realize that I had to follow the song that closely. How foolish of me.

Let's not forget that I cut this together using a camcorder and VCR scene by scene.

Don't hate me because it's better than your videos.

  • had a lot of fun watching it. The Clash is great

  • great track.. love the clash. dont listen to the haters, they're all over. if it makes their miserable life that much better, so be it. i loved the video. i dug the moving side shots of the building outside form the car, and how you pointed out the cheese bar haha. n those mobile shopping carts are the greatest thing ever invented!

  • WTF is this ???? This isn't a real video for "Lost In The Supermarket" it's just some dumb amateur crap. Disappointing !!!

  • Are you serious? You can't be serious.

You are really going to hate on my video?

Last I checked, creativity wasn't dead (but Punk is, sorry).

Do I come to visit you and hate on your clothes?

  • Sorry dude, punks not dead and it never will be, but in the context to many people are trying to be "punk" and make it a scene just pisses me off, i mean listen to some good music and not all this emo fake punk shit you know, and kick ass video i loved it. try to find the original for me though. thanks man.

  • Is there an original? I've never seen one or a live performance.

  • dont know if you still wanna know: They played this song live during a VERY SHORT tour (3 weeks I think ) in the US.I know of at least one version RECORDED live while this tour.I have it on LP.Its great!

Maybe I can "digitalize" it & put it up on here without pic(only sound)

    Peace

  • good one!!!
