  • beznadzieja hahahaaaaa

  • everything needs to be in 3D without glasses!!!! come on

  • Want a free Nintendo 3DS? Check out: goo.gl\ZoAiK

  • Jean Claude Van Damme does voice overs now?

  • @EdTheBadass this is Raney150, but I somehow got logged on to this account when I replied to you

  • @EdTheBadass oh he meant adobe flash. That's not needed. I have never come across a point where I needed it. In fact i watched this video from my iPhone without the need for the YouTube app.

  • Copycats.

  • @mafiafattony

    how so?

nintendo steped into the gaming world, does that make microsoft/sony copycats?

  • @iskittlez29 No since the 3DS was announced everyone started making 3D without glasses.

  • @mafiafattony

but your not answering my question, are microsoft and sony copycats because Nintendo opened up gaming?

  • @iskittlez29 Nope, not Sony they were an electronics company so either way they were going to make a gaming system. Microsoft copied off Sony and is now the "Xbox". But that is a whole new subject.

  • But will it blend?

  • 1. I hope they'll show what crap iphone is and will conquer some market

    2. I wish big companies would upgrade speed and performance of the machines rather than making them look fancy and adding unnecessary effects.

I may feel happy that I have a shiny new gadget, but after a short while noone, including me, will care. After a short period all I want is my gadget to work faster and be reliable.

  • @EdTheBadass

    Okay, done.

now, you have one more wish left.

  • @EdTheBadass The iPhone isn't crappy though. Perhaps not to your liking, but not crappy.

  • @raney150

    where`s the Flash?

  • @rungettothechoppa Right next to the camera on the back

  • @raney150

"Flash" in the sense as "a multimedia platform used to add animation, video, and interactivity to web pages"

  • The woman's pressing the screen like she's a retard.

  • @InterrobangPie Your comment just made the video one of the funniest around!!! Hahahahaha!!!!!! Can't stop laughing!!!

  • this make my DSi look OLD :(

  • i thought touching and 3d dont really go had in hand

  • @edster98765 What? That sucks! DSi can this 3D too in the DSiWare-Game. Why a new system?

  • @2Dimenzio

Becaue it's faking it by using the cameras on the system and ot a 3D screen. The only type of "3D" effect you can do on the DSi is the only type you can do. The asme goes for some iPhone games. Unles you tilt the system, it's a standard 2D image.

  • @2Dimenzio The DSi game just showed what the 3D WOULD look like but actually it just uses the inside camera to displace the image to make it seem like its 3D but really isn't. The 3DS can also shoot pictures in 3D.

  • yup. this will definitely be used in the 3ds

  • is this real 3d? i mean goes it out of the LCD?

  • 0:20 Wtf? 2010 and 640x480?

  • @M1KENDO

I know it sounds like it's nothing. But the PSP has a screen resolution of 480x272 and that also looks good so for a small screen a resolution of 754x480 is pretty high.

  • @lucasthehedgehog meh lets wait and see what nintendo says

  • @lucasthehedgehog

Half of the horizontal pixels are dedicated for one image, while the other half is dedicated for the other half of the 3D image. So it isn't the same as on a regular lcd.

  • Anyhting that needs glasses to function is shit!. That why im looking foward to nintendos 3ds later this year, its eliminating the glasses, just 3d

  • Nice!!

  • Who here has seen one of these devices or another "glassesless" 3D screen from sharp in person? How does it feel?

  • Nice. I just wish multiview parallax barrier would hurry up and taker over. I know, I know: it take much more image processing to work than single-view. But I think it's worth the expense to be able to view the image from multiple perspectives, don't you?

    -IMP ;) :)

  • Comment removed

  • @SilverWingedOne I read your comment before it was removed (why was that?). It's not a matter of resolution, really, except in the barrier itself. The main thing is processing and display speeds, which would need to be exponentially faster for each additional viewing angle. So it's a speed issue, not a resolution one.

    -IMP ;) :)

  • @IceMetalPunk I was trying to add another paragraph to my comment, but my edited comments weren't showing up. But, they showed up this morning.

    Damn you, youtube!!! :D

  • @SilverWingedOne Why was this flagged as spam? I was posting a reply to IceMetalPunk.

  • The Nintendo 3DS!!! Can't wait for E3 Ninty!!

  • 3D screen + nvidia tegra + random OS

    linked to keyboard and HDTV

= no need for a laptop / phone / crappy nintendo DS

  • i think the best 3d displays will be made in the future with mini lasers in the place of each pixel which will be able to change the angle of their light beam so as to show a diffrent picture for the left and the right eye of the viewer , one more advandange will be the much lower electricity which lasers consume to produce the same amount of light in contrast wiht techhnologies like CRT ,LCD of AMOLED ,lasers also can produce light of wanted properies like color or intencity more accurate..

  • 3ds ftw

  • Its only 3 d in the viewers Hand. So it depends ob your viewing angle

  • Sorry but i dont see anything 3d about it seems only 2d to me.

  • @sspoke Are you stupid or what ? It's normal that 3D doesn't appear in a 2D video :-(

  • @Lambalex so you are saying that if i seem that video player in real life it would be in 3d? don't buy it =[.

Also why did these fucktards make 3D video add-on for youTube doesn't even work. if you are saying you cannot see 3d in a 2d video hello what is 2d video.. everything on computers is 2d.

  • @sspoke Are you mental?! Do some research on stereoptic vision, this will help you understand how we percieve depth.

  • @sspoke that's because the camera there using to film this doesn't have the ability to let you see it in 3D.

  • @sspoke

    Lol, stupid question.

This is only a filmed screen, a video.

Do you have a 3D-Screen at home, I don't think so.

So you can only see this effect in real life, when you're looking on a parallax barrier screen ;) .

  • @Seegurke1990 I don't believe in 3D screens period.. only 3d I've seen are 3d objects in the real world.

  • @sspoke

Yes, it's not really 3D ;) But it looks like 3D.

    I'm exited about E3 2010.

  • Wise decision by Sharp to make it compatible for both 2D and 3D display... this is amazing since there's going to be more stereoscopic content coming soon in a few years, I hear. Very very cool. Heh, I guess the 3DS isn't just smoke. I'm surprised it can be seen the vertical way too, wish I can be there to look at one myself. Perhaps the reporters would consider getting a stereoscopic camera too? XD This is great news.

  • Hehe, I own specimens of all those awesome beetles at the start. Nice screen though.

  • No, this display won't need any glasses for the 3D effect.

  • *some CGI work, I mean

  • I wonder how people will market this to the masses...

You can't see the 3D effect by a video, they will have to do some 3D work...

  • from this vid, it's just low rez screen

  • Comment removed

  • Wonder it will be bigger for the Nintendo 3DS.

    For games, this is better...

  • Nintendo 3DS :D

  • Nice, this is the same technology that's going to be used on the Nintendo 3DS.

  • It is used for an android phone.

  • Lol at 1:33 . What an idiot.

  • Nintendo 3DS' :D

  • 3D is totally useless! its not entertaining or functional. I hope a new technology invent and have a more realistic and enjoyable 3D experience.

  • I want a holographic interactive display, this looks old school

  • esta podria ser la pantalla que le de vida a la Nueva NINTENDO 3DS! :O

  • it's usable ware.

  • 3d is a retarded gimmick that will die out fast. gee. i can't wait to wear 3d glasses in my home to watch the news. i want a picture of a serial rapist in my living room. great wave of the future!

  • @illuminatioracle This is 3D without glasses. Dipshit.

  • @samonzo1221 that's the point. Dipshit. having to carry around and wear 3d glasses in public so that you can try and 'touch' some shitty looking cgi blue elf on a 3 inch screen clearly is not a gimmick and apparently enhances the experience of a good story in a film. bravo! great future!

  • @illuminatioracle You still don't understand. YOU DON'T NEED ANY KIND OF GLASSES TO VIEW THE 3D CONTENT ON THESE SCREENS

  • @samonzo1221 You still don't understand. 3d glasses or no, it's fucking stupid. furthermore, it's probably worse on the eyes to not have 3d glasses. it'll be like looking at one of those 'hidden illusion' pictures for hours.

  • @illuminatioracle

    No it won't.

It should for all intents and purposes look about the same as current 3D movies in the cinema but without having to wear the glasses, from everything I have read.

Also, there really shouldn't be any negative effect on the eyes. You see in 3D in the real world all the time and this is just recreating how you see that 3D on a 2D screen, so in theory it should be absolutely fine.

That's the impression I'm getting anyway.

  • @impurekind Exactly. The reason we see in 3D is because, since our eyes are set apart, but still look in the same direction, they individually see slightly different views of what is in front of us. Our brain combines these two views, and the differences between them is what gives our vision the third dimension of depth. This technology works in EXACTLY the same way. The screen projects an image at your left eye, and a slightly different image at your right eye which combine to make a 3D image.

  • @samonzo1221

Huh? Glasses don't really figure into it. It's a stereoscopic display being recorded by a single camera.

  • @teitoku We were discussing how the display would look in real life, so while you are correct, it wasn't what we were discussing.

  • if you realy think about it , with resolution that great- portability certainly a OK - and 3D visuals that the ress confirm was 100% just as nintendo promised - i think this new handheld will bring sony/psp to its knees - i mean i love the psp too but this is just out of the water.

  • omg this has a higher resolution than my penis. and bigger.

  • dsi xl is bigger...

  • just when i buy the iphone 3gs this comes out. it happens everytime

  • Sharp just outed Nintendo's 3DS tech. Awesome! The only issue here is that its true quality and 3D ability can't be appreciated second hand on videos. That's to be excepted. Nintendo should send all current DS owners a demo 3DS to show what its capable of.

  • I'd buy that girl any day.

  • Hey! New voice! I like him!

  • Can't wait for the 3DS!

  • lol, people come on. This technology works because your left eye and right eye are seeing overlapping images to make it 3d. You need two eyes to see it in 3d. This was filmed on a camera, which has one lens. If you are only viewing it after being recorded with one lens then it won't be in 3d, since there are no longer two overlapping images.

  • Why did they have to use pictures of bugs to demo the touch screen? I don't want to touch bugs!

  • @computeruser54321

    But I Do :(

  • @computeruser54321

    But I Do :(

  • The 3D effect depends on the viewer having two eyes, so this footage, coming from a camera, is probably a poor indicator of what its 3D will look like.

  • I'm sick of this crappy 3D! Until Holograms doesn't exist i don't car about this shit tech that what only try to improve is the selling because there is no new cheap technology that can be attractive to the public. SCREW This SHIT!

  • @DraskyVanderhoff Hologram are currently used but for it to be useful it need a wide area, where there is no interference from anything else, so this greatly limits holograms uses in "normal" settings. (Same frequencies of light need to run interference with each other to create the ghostly holograms) They have used holograms before in public performances were they project the conductor of an orchestra. It worked rather well

  • @blkpaladin Mhhh so the problem is the size , well them it would need time to get a workaround for that. They could use it for movies in cinemas that has wide areas.

About actual 3D I'd read that this auto 3d ( 3d without glasses ) is at least different , it use the same trick that the others but in a different way. But is not a lot better -.-

  • @DraskyVanderhoff It has the lensing actually on the screen instead of sitting on your nose, I don't mind wearing glasses but this type of 3D is the kind that everyone will eventually want.

  • @G1NZOU Except for me that i don't want 3D at all , better virtual reality than this tech.

  • Wait...unless the camera's gunking it up, that thing looks like it would NEED glasses in order to see the 3D...which, if true, means that it CAN'T be used in the 3DS, as Nintendo has gone on record to say that their new system WON'T require glasses to see the 3D.

  • @YamiCJMErl Man that nintendo ds was a april fools publicity , be realistic -.-

  • @YamiCJMErl You are seeing it second hand so it doesn't work. And parallax tech has a sweet spot to work correctly. So it that we are seeing it though another camera with out the "overlay" on the screen to help direct the light to the correct eyes.

  • @blkpaladin Ah. I suspected as much.

  • Can't wait for this to be used in the 3DS.

  • useless....

  • @pilotdapunk agree

  • @pilotdapunk So useless Nintendo is using it in it's new handheld system.

  • @krazycore your last now >:(
