  • I really like how you can hear the snare drum part in this song, I love it because I can practice this on snare with out my music. and that I have my hole peaice memorized. This song is SUPER DUPER FUN. :) I'm glad Im playing snare on this song in my band. very nice job hennery

  • I got to conduct this song my senior year of high school! I think I would have rather been playing! :)

  • This recording really doesn't sound as old as Fennell's recordings...he stopped conducting the Eastman Wind Ensemble in 1962.

  • I'm in high school. My band director expects us to play at this speed. wish me luck o__o

  • When will Trombone Hero come out?

  • Great upload! The music is entertaining, and the band is sharp and precise. Couldn't ask for better! Thanks!

  • this song is fun as heck, especially if you're on first trombone.

  • @Xobeohs98 or tuba :)

  • All hail Eastman & Fennell. My HS band worked on this every year; never got it good enough to perform. Fillmore loved trombones, but not trombone players.

  • this is like gteat backround music!! i play this in band at school its so confusing....

  • we have to play this for a concert in our middle school band

  • i iz in honor winds band in my school and we really do have to play this :S

  • @pokewshark YEAH HW FTW!!!

  • It brings a tear to my eye.....

  • I like

  • @lawlerization hahaha mr. hart thought it was!

  • hahahahaha! mr. hart thought it was!

  • haha, this song....the memories are overwhelming. =)

  • @angee2717 fuck this song lol

  • @angee2717 this is NOT stand music

  • @angee2717 this is NOT stand music

  • I'd really love to play this song next year for my band festival. This year, my band played "Rolling Thunder," and we did really well. Henry Fillmore is a great composer and I love his music!

  • Epic!

  • i have to play this at my concert band, makes me want to punch Fillmore for making hard fast songs ><

  • we played this in middle school wow wat a fun song

  • Fasntastic :D

  • Oboe Playerr<3

  • i play this in my band class :)

  • lol clarinets.....playing like a mofo

  • I played this in high school on trombone and it was awesome

  • @SsgtTimothy *cough* alto saxophones are better *cough*

  • @Hippiemoose911 *cough* and Mr. Fremin on the baritone beats them all put together *cough*

  • @Altoclarinets Screw the cough... Don't act like the trombones didn't run this!? :D lol

  • @ScienceGamesMusicGod We were rehearsing the fight song in my band class a few months ago to record it. My director was like "trombones, can you give us five percent more?" We played it again and they pretty much rendered everyone in the room temporarily deaf. Trombones with true musicality are kind of like wild okapi- we know they exist, but few have seen them...

  • @Altoclarinets my bad clicked that by mistake and apparently you can't undo that... sorry. But, anyway I believe that the trombone takes a lot of control to be able to play at this level of speed and technicality, especially for a high schooler. I mean I could back in high school, but then again I had insane attributes for a trombone player in high school. You should look up my old trombone solo called Glen Eden on youtube, (only trumpet found). I played it a lot faster though...

  • I had this album once upon a time but lost it many moves ago.

Many, many, many thanks for bringing it back to me!

  • i play this song all the time on tuba wiked articulation

  • I remember I played this up at Idyllwild one summer, under Dave Evans. We hammered the whole thing out in 40 seconds, taking all repeats and the coda. It was epic!

  • we have to play this in my school band for the great east festival this year. trumpet 1 is satan. haha ;] we just started playing it today so it seems really hard

  • my middle school is playing this and I have first clarinet :) it's slightly scary looking at first

  • this is great! We are playing it for our band festival on Monday and our Dynamics dont change really which is bad!!

  • i have the bass clarinet for this

  • This is one of my all-time favorite marches. It's so fun to play!

  • This is amazing. I'm playing this on clarinet. it's so fun trying to tongue fast enough.

  • our highschool band is playing this song during our exhibition in China Go LBHS

  • @mindlesszombie950 do america proud

  • played piccolo on this loved those runs up to the high A flat...

  • lol same w/ the euph part

  • We are playing this song. Just Got the music this week. I play the clarinet.

This is going to be hard doing all of those repeated notes w/o double tonguing.

  • @ClegoJZ Lol Good luck! :D its sounds fun! :D

  • Thanks...

    -Wstbrk

  • this song is a bitch to play on trombone, but still fun. favorite nassau suffolk piece

  • I played this (Flute) The runs killed me at first! but it was my favorite piece in last years Spring Concert!

I can now play this perfectly...seeing as I had it for half a year and practiced it alot XD

  • My conductor used to take it in 1 after the trio. He did that with almost all marches, Fennell, Fillmore, King, etc...

  • I did not playing this song. But I still like it.

  • Oh what fun!

  • I am trying to play my part on sax but I cant tongue that fast yet lol

  • Try to learn double tounging... Tried it last year, now it's perfected.... Though some say it's not supposed to be done on a saxophone and that it produces a bad sound... Listen to Rudy Wiecroft.... or waste your time and learn to single tounge really fast....

  • love that piccolo with the A flat scale runs

  • this is the perfect song to cheer someone up or make someone feel really special after something really good just happened

  • It's a circus march. Does it make you feel like a clown?

  • clown no. they scare the shit out of me for some reason. it just makes me feel like i accomplished something. especially at 1:22 with the trombone solo

  • my Wind Ensemble played this last year. I'm so glad I got to participate in this wonderful piece of music. It's just so awesome!

  • i just got finished performing this in the all-virginia conert band. and damn the tuba part at 38 when they have the melody is insane but then again so is the whole entire peice.

  • haha... I play trombone on this. It kills my arm when it gets to the low brass soli.

  • God the RUNS! (I play flute) I love this song, but it kills my poor pinky finger xD

We're doing this for our next concert =3

  • That made me smile :)

  • I'm playing this song for my winter concert in 2 month's!!

  • It's been exactly 2 months since then xD

  • and what? Is this a race ?

  • no i wouldnt always say that....cuz faster can mess up the articulations

  • @j077yr0g3r Well said! As a high school band director now retired, I might ad that to play this or any of those wonderful old circus marches as well as the Eastman group or say the US Marine Corps Band I seriously doubt you played it as well and with correct intonation and articulation. Just be glad your directors pushed you hard enough to even get through a piece of this stature!

  • I doubt you could play it as accurate as Eastman... Especially when Fennell was conducting.

  • @jaskiewicz123

Way to sound like a kid with no respect for real musicianship. You probably have no idea who Fennell is or what he has done for American wind music.

  • @jaskiewicz123 really? cus we have to play this in middle school. no joke

  • @applesofheaven wait i thought ur in symphonic

  • this song is really hard to play even though I played it slower. really fun tho.
