I bought a MG ZTT DIESEL, and i cant beleive how good this car is , its not only cheap to tax, but also to run, and with prices out there being so cheap its not surprising that im seeing more of them on the road .
It seems that the management didn't know what the problems are, the corp ad didn't address the reliabity problem, which kills Rover/MG any chance to survive in the sea of good cars
The corporate commercial sounded like it was narrated by John Nettles. Who, as Inspector Barnaby, drove a 75. Would have been interesting to see it here in USA. However, it would have needed to be priced right, as the "middle luxury" range is crowded.
Do you own an MG or Rover? If you did then you would know what good cars Rovers and MG's were. Instead of being a mindless BMW loving luddite troll!!!!
couldnt agree more, mg rover cars are great if the head gasket goes it is so cheap to sort them especially if your a mechanic yourself and can do it xD
Could of been great ive drove a 75 and a older 220SD the 220SD was ropey but reliable, The 75 drives better than the Mondeo in my view. Big shame, R.I.P MGR.
yeah, what do bmw know about making cars, eh? its not like they're one of the most reputable and successful car manufacturers on earth or anything.
rover was already struggling before bmw bought them. bmw sold rover because their efforts to make rover more successful had failed. without bmw's input the rover 75 would have been a reworked 600 and the mini would never have existed (or at least it would have far more resembled the cityrover than what it ultimately turned out to be).
I've never owned a Rover but I wish the company could have made it through and ridden out the turn of the century on the back of the New Mini. I can't help feeling that marketing (as always) was way off trying to sell the thing on being 'Great British'. The GB consumer has not given a toss about domestic manufacture for years; the Germans never pushed their proud manufacturing heritage in your face, just continued to deliver granite solid products. More discretion needed and less rebadged Tata's
Vangelis for the win

strange to hear management talking about Rover now.
Goes to show they didnt want to see what was happening to the company and
painted a rosy picture......instead of dealing with its problems?
Head up there ass stuff was"nt it

Allowing BMW to get their hands on Rover in any form was the biggest mistake. They couldn't even get the formula one comeback together back in 2000.
