if anyone is interested. this is soooo easy to upload to computer. I had many dvd-rs and finally

just decided to upload to my computer. then you can reuse them. just down load the

software from support at sony. then follow dir how to install. then (ALL YOU DO IS PLUG IT IN TO THE USB PORT AND IT DOES IT FOR YOU!!! Just follow the prompts. It is that easy.

Then only thing is if you have hit record many times it makes that many videos.

Bought this Sony dcr-dvd108 recently at a pawn shop and looks almost new. My question is does the "MS pro duo" cards store video as well with this cam. 80cm DVD+RW 1.4gb only stores 30 minutes. It's not much time and may be a hassle swapping out disks when flying in congested airspace. I can find the ms pro duo cards up to 32gb at newegg.com. I just want to know if the Sony dcr-dvd108 will store video on the ms pro duo cards before investing in an 80dollar card??? Thanks for the help.

all of this is free no cost and you can convert for about everything i convert you tube videos to cd to listen to in my truck i downloaded alot of useless coverters was not free gimick video soft converter is free is free and so is video pad editor for 30 days and then i just took it off downloaded it again and i am still useing it windows movie maker is fine if you can access you down load videos with it I could not so video pad was the answer

easy to put them on pc put dvd in computer google dvd video soft free converter download dvd converter easy to use nothing to set convert to mp4 and it will put them in video soft file take them out download video pad editor are movie maker to edit for you tube are were ever easy i wish i would of had somebody tell me this would have saved alot of time

lol its so easy to get the vids on ur comp and edit them me and my friends use mine. I just use a dvd ripper and rip them to my pc and edit them with sony vegas, Also render them with 720p

This camera is shit. Any camera that takes dvd are junk. They glitch out when recording . Sometimes the dvd-rw disc fail after about 20 uses. By uses I mean closing the disc and opening the disc. Buy something that has hard drive memory or sd or even tape. dvd cameras are a waste of time and have poor quilty. I have had the camera for 3 years.

your not using the right format on the disc. You should be using video and not vr.

You can use "clone dvd" and copy an "image" of your recording to your hdd and then with the "clone dvd" again burn it on a big dvd.

Or just simply burn mini dvd to big dvd with clone dvd.

I own this camera, and it is good. For audio, as a musician, be aware that you can hear the cd whirring inside the camera - it happens every 30 sec. or so, after you finish making the film. I had to buy an external mic. Not all camcorders have a jack, or cold shoe for a shotgun mic.

Best I can tell you is a T.V. card with S vid capability have you tried to contact Sony U.S.they would likely replace the disc for you if not,and I'm able to do so without getting us both in trouble I could send you a copy when my camera comes,if you have your key code from your camera it should work.

I have the previous version of Sony's Mini DVD camcorder. I'm usually pretty good with electronics but, this thing's a real handful. I've already accidentally erased two disks full of movies I was trying to edit on my PC. I can't figure out how to get my movies onto my PC to edit and it's driving me nuttsssss! Buy a MiniDV recorder if you want to edit on a PC, don't buy this formatting hell camcorder.

How do you get video onto your computer without Windows Vista? You need Vista to use the software.

I use rewritables so I can finalize the disc, place the dvd into my computer's dvd drive, use an application to rip the movie files off the disc, and then I format the disc in the camcorder so I can use it again. The software you can use without having to do all that should work with XP...
