  • @pwner331 yeah well guess what tom i got an A in english so screw you.

  • @hasser964

    Skriver man TOM på engelska???

  • @TheEmsann This is what i got off google translate "write VOID in english" probably wrong.

  • @hasser964

    Du snackar antagligen svenska?

  • I come on a these videos to look for information and some tips in the comments, yet all i see is shitty arguements about whos dick is bigger between the seals and the RM...........

  • I got raped in the bottom by a polar bear today! :D

  • POC and PRMC lat's three days- are they the same courses?

  • @mebecallum No they're not. The physical tests are harder for the POC I think and all potential officers have to face an admiralty review board.

  • @imaplaystationfanboy Marines can train to do jumps - as can Paras I imagine

  • I could do the swimming easily.. i float like a life jacket and can pretty much Tread water for 30 - 40 minutes untill i get a cramp.

    The 30 miler though.. ouch.

  • who chose the uniform colours?

  • @210482fmj You mean the ones in the pool ? its DPM, camoflauge. What they'd be wearing if they were in the water for real, depending on where they were obviously.

  • for anyone who is thinking of join the royal marines, remeber it takes about 9 months to a year to join so dont just drop out of college or quit your job until you get offered a place. if your at college do what im doing and finsh your A levels cause then you get the qualifications

  • haha i jumped in holding my nose the only thing that ensued was press ups and the word cunt several times! best time of my life! :)

  • I can't wait to join USMC I know their basic training isn't as tough as Royals but we do have some kick-ass hand to hand combat. Then we have Force Recon special ops which sounds perfect for me.

  • @imaplaystationfanboy Makes sense that they wouldn't use parachute insertions anymore. It paints you like a silhouetted target against the sky. Helo insertion makes way more sense. I guess they just keep the name to remember their parachute roots, eh?

Yeah. I'm probably joining the RMCs after highschool, mate. One year to go and then I'm moving back to the UK to apply. Anyway, good luck to you, man.

  • @imaplaystationfanboy Paras are first in, too. Shit goes down, they sent in the Paras and as soon as that chutes off, you may aswell consider yourself no different from any other infantry soldier.

RMCs are a much better regiment to join.

  • @imaplaystationfanboy probs not, i think i would do well on the strength side but not the cardio bit :(

  • @imaplaystationfanboy i feel the same way mate :/ the army seems like shit once you see the elite forces in action :/

  • At what age can you join the RCM? I wanna join but i'm only 14.

  • What's the difference between marines and royal marines?

  • @EpicWar911 All British marines are Royal Marines, USMC would be standard Marines. Both are very similar with high training standards, quality over quantity etc.

  • @moloney20 joint practice operation in a Cuban jungle which included the RM and the USMC, both staying for a week. USMC had to be airlifted out within 3 days, RM stayed an extra week just to take e piss. If you honestly believe that then i can easily assure everyone your not a marine.

  • LOL.

I am an American Marine, and you all swim like lazy punks. No wonder that we beat you in two wars.

  • @Moloney20 well i would sey USMC training is like girl scouts training compared to royal marine training and US never won britian in 2 wars the first war britian was fighting 3 major wars at the time and britian was on there own in the US against 4 countrys and france did more fighting than US did and still britian gained land from the war and the 2nd war britian won and made US sign a treaty british forces pushed US forces nealy in mexico and we also won napoleon the same year

  • @wiganerrmc Yeah, I can tell(sarcasm). Have we forgotten, Royals & American Marines are Brothers in arms? Snap to.

  • @wiganerrmc I'm sorry but i am british, but usmc would kick britians tiny little ass simply because they have better equipment, more money to buy supplies and the u.s pour most of their money into their army, navy and airforce. Also have you seen how many times on the news that the u.s have taken over our patrols and units jobs in afghanistan and iraq. If we started a war with america, they could literally roll in and be done within a week.

p.s im british and want to join the parachute reg.

  • @hasser964 well if you wona join paras good on you but if you wona be the best join marines

and you sey have you seen how many times on the news that the u.s have taken over our patrols

well iv done 2 tours of afghan and british forces had the worst places like sangin were i did a tour

US took over sangin and lost 19 of the bases which british forces took thay also lost more troops in the first 90 days than britian did in 4 and a half years

  • @wiganerrmc Okay they lost more troops partly because of the fact that they have more troops.

  • @hasser964 no thay didnt have more men in sangin british forces had 21 bases in sangin US only had 3

just watch US Marines in Sangin, Afghanistan 2011. Part 1 of 2. and watch the 2nd part aswell its on youtube

it tells you that US abandoned most the bases and that there doing the job wot the british did back in 2007 and thay even sey it was a mistake not listen to the british marines even british marines have gone back in to help them

  • @wiganerrmc look mate i respect you for doing tours and stuff but you do have to admit if we were in a war with america they could roll in and take us down, simply because we do not have the amount of people, money and the country to pull off victory. Therefore the USMC being better.

  • @hasser964 US wouldnt able invade britian and it dont matter how many people a country have

and USMC is like a military in its self thay have a airforces there own warships and armored divisions with tanks of course thay would beat RMC

but man for man royal marines win by about 20 times

just one mission wot the royal marines did in ww2 ended the war about 6 months ealy and there was only 12 of them in that mission

  • @wiganerrmc yeah but without the americans would would not have been able to continue in our war efforts.

  • @hasser964 we would because we would of never of surrendered

USSR did alot more than the americans

  • @wiganerrmc aha! this is where you are wrong my friend. aproxmentley 2 months after churchills speach at the house of commons it became apparent that britain could no longer finance the war, meaning we would have been utterly destroyed as hitler was planning an invaision of britain. So in a last attempt to keep the germans at bay we took to the skys to fend off the german invaison of britian, gaining air superiority. This then proved to the amerians that we were indeed a valueable fighting force

  • @hasser964 do you not no church hill great speach and britian won the battle of britian with no help from no 1

it was the US folt that we didnt have a massive navy because of the stupid packed we signed with US japan and over nations to cut down are navys when the war started britian was a year behide the germans in equipment britian just didnt have the stuff to fight thats why it went all messed up at first

  • @wiganerrmc But still as stated above in my previous comments, without the lend lease bill Churchil had declared that we would run out of money and have to pull out of our war efforts.

  • @hasser964 even if we didnt get the lend lease we still would of never surrenderd we didnt get the lend lease untill after the battle of britian was won german forces could never of crossed the channel because the raf was to good and so was the navy the royal navy ruled the sea from start of the war to the end

even if german forces landed on britian thay would never able re-supply them even wihtout US ww2 would of bin won USSR did alot more fighting than US did

  • @wiganerrmc If we had more people then yeah RM would destroy USMC but in this day and age UMSC all the way. The training of the RM is harder but we simply dont have enough troops or money to be as good as the US forces.

  • @wiganerrmc Then hitler in 1940 postpones invaision of britian indefinately (not ended). So in march 1941 the u.s congress passed the lend lease bill, meaning britians major debt crisis had been sorted, therefore could continue in their war efforts. That next year in 1941 hitler declares invaision over, then america comes and invests in us and gives 2 naval destroyers to us; leaving britain much more powerful and also able to contiue our efforts in the war. To conclude we would have not won the

  • @hasser964 and do you no why US didnt give us the lend lease at first but after we did something thay said thay would give it us wot did we do ?

  • @wiganerrmc we won b.o.b but that is irrelevent we still needed that money and without the end to our war efforts.

  • @hasser964 did you read my over messages

  • @wiganerrmc yes but i did not fully understand what you were trying to say, so i put the answer i believed to be right.

  • @hasser964 no i ment why US didnt give britian the lend lease at first and wot changed there mind do you no that question

  • @wiganerrmc Battle of Britian?

  • @hasser964 no it was because of churchill's sinking of the french fleet also none as the attack on mers-el-kebir and that proved to presedent roosevelt that britian would do anything to win the war even attack its allies

and that was because roosevelt fort we didnt have the guts to fight the nazis and would just surrender when the going gets tough

and that proved we would do anything to win the war

  • @wiganerrmc But none the less we still would not be able to continue the war efforts without the lend lease bill!

  • @wiganerrmc war without the powerful and rich nation, mainly known as the USA because without the lend lease bill we would have had to pull out of WW2. P.S i know my stuff i got an A* on a essay about this shit.

  • @hasser964 wot a A* in history and you point is im a royal marine commando i no all are history about are reg plus my dad was a WO in the paras one of the highest ranks so i grew up around military

i no about ww2 and most battles i even no loads about raids like operation frankton were one fo my heros from ww2 was part of herbert blondie hasler

  • @Moloney20

Chances are that you're just a 10 year old typing shit on the internet. If you were a Marine, you'd probably be fighting right now.

  • @Moloney20 learn your history, lol fucking uneducated americans. No wonder your a US marine your thick as fuck.

  • @enforcedmatty Thank you ;]

  • I'm a girl and I'm joining the RM when I turn 18

  • @imaplaystationfanboy The paras do still do jumps, im para trained but not a para and every now and again we get offered do jumps courses, in my battery there are people with wings from other countries aswell like america and france

  • Im a pro at swimming i would pass this easily!

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME BY WHAT THEY EXACTLY MEAN ON THE ADVERT WHEN IT SAYS 99.99% NEED NOT APPLY. THANK YOU

  • @MrSpeedDemon666 It means that they only get the best at the end, the 99.99% would have been dropped out so there was no need for them to apply in the first place

  • @keyzo51 Ok Thanks but anyone stands a great chance of passing dont they if they train hard enough??? ive got my eyes set on the royal marines :) Are you considering joining?

  • @MrSpeedDemon666 Well someone who trains well and is determined on earning their green beret should get their in the end. I'm also keen to apply, however im finishing sixth form first but will be applying to get in at 19. If you're set on it though good luck on becoming a royal :)

  • @keyzo51 Yeah my plans are to go to college do 2 years of an IT course, seems pointless now if this is what i want. I dont think im mentally ready and certainly not fit enough but i am doing lots of exercising, need to do more Cardio :/ So hopefully i will be ready in 2 years time, i dont see why i shouldnt pass if i train constantly. Thanks, i hope you achieve your goals and persue the career you want. The royal marines seem alot more elite than just the army. thats why im so keen to join :)

  • I'm joining the royal marines when I'm 18, good luck to anyone else who is doing the same :)

  • @imaplaystationfanboy the paras do do jump after p company you do 8 jumps but they are not aloud to jump into action its to dangerous

  • I can't swim but I want to join the marines

Can I still as long as I pass other tests ?

  • @ThomasMurphy711 lol no

  • @ThomasMurphy711 Mate, if you can't swim, they'll teach you to swim. The Royal marines isn't just about becoming a soldier it's about becoming an exceptional human being, they're not going to refuse you training just because you were never taught to swim.

  • @CARBRINE so could i still join

  • @ThomasMurphy711 Course you could, however if i were you i would start learning to swim, because even if you can swim and join the marines, you're defo going to find the training very very hard, and if you havn't trained for long distance swims your just going to tire to quickly. If i were you i would join the Army, you'll probably have to do some swimming in that but there won't be such an emphsis on it.

  • If anyone here is think of joining the royal marines, read Wearing The Green Beret by Jake Olafsen. It's a good book on royal marine training and combat as well

  • @imaplaystationfanboy they don't do parachute training?

  • It makes no difference if you are tall or not! If your an utter swim biff they will train you, I swim like a brick but i found on the swim test just kick like fuck the whole way through, its a hangout but you pass! I aint swam since i left training, the only water ive been in (disregarding muddy ditches!!!) was ice breaking drills in Norway but even then your on a lifeline!!!!!

  • I have a question about the RMs. After completing the RM bootcamp do they ever have to Re-qualify... for instance they do the 30 mile hike in bootcamp do they have to do it again in the future to still qualify to be called a RM?

  • @testbooster No after the 30 miler! all the ones that have passed out get their green beret and proceed in more advanced training like Mountain Assault, Jungle Assault and Cold Warfare and that all doesent even take long :) so after which you would be ready to deploy in any different parts of the world for the missions required!

  • what's the ideal height for swimming?

  • @TheLeilisa It doesnt really matter mate, its mostly about technique. However being tall is a bit of a bonus with longer limbs going through the water.

  • @armystrong1231 thanks , i still need a couple of inches more in height. There is this herbal product named " helpo growth formula" that i ve been using it for months as a growth booster, and actually i see the difference now.

  • @TheLeilisa You really don't need to worry about height mate, i'v got my PJFT soon and im barley 5'6, the minimum height is only about 4'11, good luck anyway!

  • 1:17 are you a strong wimp *were you a strong swimmer xD

  • @imaplaystationfanboy the greatest weapon on this earth is a marine and his rifle, the whole point of being a marine is being the elite. Im not sure how much action paras get but i heard they have to do "4 jumps a year to keep their wings" that was the phrasing

  • @imaplaystationfanboy The para's do like 3 or 4 jumps a year.

  • if your wank at swimming your gunna hate those pool sessions, probably still pass BST but your going to be half drowning everyother day till gym passout.

  • @HandzarMitraljezac

Breast stroke is the ONLY practical stroke to use when in full kit. Butterfly is a very energy intensive stroke, not to mention that it makes alot of splashing noise so it would be impossible to use with any level of stealth

Front crawl also cant be used, as to do it properly requires the swimmer to put their face UNDER the water so you cant keep a constant view on where you are going. Big mistake!

Breast stroke is the best option, you can see and its quiet

  • @philbrowna what about doggy paddle ? :P

  • I never will forget that day in 1958..We ( 697 squad Royal Marines ) marched to the swimming pool at Deal. Stripped and wearing what looked like a loin cloth. I can still hear the Sargeants voice scream out " Swimmers to the shallow end.None swimmers to the deep end ! " I thought he was joking. He wasn't. Terror in my heart as a none swimmer, to clmb to the high board, and willingly jump off into deep water. Change " willing " to fear of the Sargeant :-)

  • what a load of mincers

  • @TheCuilinn twat ha ha

  • chad troop stripey.. the swimmimgs a peice of piss

  • hah they're all doing breaststroke

    so much for eliteness

  • @HandzarMitraljezac Yea, i guess the butterfly would be a more appropriate technique to develope now wouldn't it?

  • @RoyalMarineSCO lmfao great, you sir just put a fat shitty child who will never experience war or war training in his life in his place.

  • @HandzarMitraljezac You're not very intelligent are you, front crawling or butterflying would be far better wouldn't it in full gear, especially as they are very subtle strokes as well and not energy consuming. Next time shut up and stop breathing and do the world a favour there.

  • @Olismith27

    intelligent? im battle wise

    that shit doesnt work

breast stroke take up the most energy, with gear on, you cant be as relaxed, it requires all effort cause you're sinking fast

  • @HandzarMitraljezac breaststroke conserves energy

  • i was quite a weak swimmer but they get u better..its all about technique..BST is piss easy unless ur pathetically weak..the hard things in the pool are the beastings, lengths, walking all the way round the pool on ur hands and dunk dips

  • i was quite a weak swimmer but they get u better..its all about technique..BST is piss easy unless ur pathetically weak..the hard things in the pool are the beastings, lengths, walking all the way round the pool on ur hands and dunk dips

  • i was a quite weak swimmer, but they teach u correct technique so u dnt use loads of energy..and BST is piss easy the hard thing is the beastings especially when they get u killing lenghts and walking round the pool edge on ur hands and doing dunk dips

  • i actualy want to do this haha jst 2 more years;)

  • looks like good fun

  • You can never get tired . You have no limits. Use your mind. It makes sence. Your body tells you you dont want no more but your mind does. So listen to your mind.

  • Can't fucking wait to do this.. lmao.

Looks like good nice old fashioned hard worked ^^

  • Bloody heck, i suppose i will have to go through this then??

  • @magnumforce1983 Yup, it's easy though, just practice treading water for ages.

  • they do train you to swim well by the way :)

  • u still have 2 swim in the paras dickbrain

  • well its how much you want it if you want it that bad you gotta keep training

  • Comment removed

  • @kronoix i couldnt have said it better myself, i can swim but im just not the most confident person espicially in deep water i tend to get nervous an panic, but im dropping out of college and starting training to join RMC!! good luck btw

  • @larylilshit1 SAME!

  • @kronoix Same man, I'm a horrible swimmer and I wanna be a RMC. I went swimming yesterday and sucked, but I'm gonna keep trying. Giving up is for the weak.

  • @kronoix i was a terrible swimmer when i joined and they do build u you for it, it does help to be a good swimmer but if your not that good like i was they will pull you aside and teach ya. u will be suprise how many bad swimmers there are that join

  • @kronoix I am a great swimmer been doing it my whole life almost every day but i just dont want to fail the knowledge test because I dont live in the uk and it would be a big waste of money to wait 12 months But i am studying my ass off as well

  • @kronoix this is a year old comment, but i hope you passed your PRMC dude! good luck with the future i hope you dont give up because the royal marines is more then a new job, its a new life.
