Install Cydia Apps Without WiFi (Cyder 2 Now Available)

i got 3.1.3 and using cyder 2 but it doesnt put the stuff i download on my ipod touch it says iphone/ipod connection error in the bottom left corner please help me.

No, you don't have to restore. You just have to reboot and respring.

@Diegorafols - its the type of jailbreak you have.... i had the same problem with mines... i think its called a tethered jailbreak or something like that... youll have to jailbreak it with another program if you dont want it like that

if u use blackra1n.. when u reboot (or when battery dies) itl come up the the internet cord to the globe or W/e all u have to do is run black ra1n again and itl turn on.. tho they have Spirit Jail break witch then it wont do that u can just turn back on

you have to unzip it using Winrar or see if your computer can unzip it by itself; just click on the zip file and move all the files inside onto your desktop

i got a big problem.

i jailbreaked my ipod touch 1G

and got Cydia and Icy.

And now Cyder, too.

and some sources and packages.

but when i want to download the apps or wallpapers or games or whatever, i click download and then there is for about a second 0%. but then it disappears and i downloaded nothing.

and i cannot even sync my iToch on Cyder.

Pleasee help me.

ok u shouldnt have cydia and icy together. bad combo it messes everything up so what you gotta do is hold the sleep/wake button and the home button fo like 15 seconds that restarts everything and u have to download cydia again dont get rock or icy.cydia is all you need

There's one thing you didn't think of in this tutorial: you told us at the end to enter Cydia but the main reason for using Cyder is because we don't have WiFi, so that is why we couldn't install Cydia...

1) On the main screen in the rectangle on the bottom, insert the name of the source in the space.

2) Click the green plus button.

3) Refresh sources if it is necessary.

MAKE SURE THEN SOURCE IS CHECKED IN THE BOX!!!

yeah it can be used for 2.2.1 because many cydia apps use the firmware... i had the same weird iphone problem once too, but I just reconnected my ipod and it worked again
