You can really see how Horton and the Mayor's comraderie strengthen in this movie. I mean, first the Mayor needs Horton's help to convince Whoville that they're living on a speck, and then Horton needs the Mayor's help to convince the jungle that Whoville exists. And then Jojo, the unlikliest of heros, shows up and saves them all. Wonderful!
Sure! One of my favorite scenes as well. I loved the moment when Ned looks at his son and tells him he couldn't ask for a better son. And then when everyone else about to boil the speck hears the little Whos cries to be known that they are HERE!
I just absolutely LOVE the We Are Here song! When I first heard it in theatre's, it gave me chills! Man, listening to this I can almost watch the movie in my head. Is that a bad thing? XD <3
No way! I love this song intently and passionately and wouldn't have put this up unless other people would feel the same way. It's one of the most moving pieces I've heard for a Blue Sky movie, or any movie, for that matter. I haven't had time to make any more of the soundtracks from the movie but I'm hoping to soon.
I could never stop playing this whole part over and over again on my DVD. All three of these songs are epic. It's a damn shame I couldn't find them on Marketplace however. I gotta go buy the soundtrack. This vid is amazing!
One of the best animated films I'll ever see and one of the best adaptations of a Dr. Seuss story. I do plan on adding another song from the soundtrack as par a request.
Thank you for your commenting, too. Really do love hearing from you folks about my work.
Someone requested me to do "Vlad Attacks" after commenting on my video for "Mountain Chase". It'll be a bit before you see it but it'll be great when it's finished. I've also completed a video with the first three songs from the opening of the movie but haven't uploaded it yet. It has at least one image of all the characters in the movie. If you want me to upload that one I can...
Mayor Ned:And we all share one bathroom. You know how that is.
Horton:Yeah...Don't I know it...Bathroom?
I read on Wikipedia that "Horton Hatches the Egg" is going to be made into a movie 2011 by Blue Sky Productions!!!
Hopefully, the Whos will be given even a cameo in the next film! I wonder why they decided to do "Horton Hears a Who" first. I mean..I'm glad they decided to do the second book first but am interested in the reason.
KANGAROO: All you have to do is admit that there are NO little people LIVING on the spec. That you were wrong... and I was right. You do that, and things can go right back to the way they were. But... if you don't, you're going to have to pay the price!
HORTON: Heh... so, i just have to say it isn't true?
(PAUSE)
HORTON: Go ahead. Rope me, cage me! Do whatever you want. But there are people on this spec! And they have a mayor who has 96 daughters and one son named Jo-Jo who all share a *more*
Certainly. Now that I've listened to every song on my "Horton Hears a Who" cd, I wish I had put "Roping and Caging" with it. It would have completed it better. But not to worry. I'll get to posting all the "Horton" songs in time.
I love this vid!!! This sounds so pretty! I can just listen to it all day. I love how you put the name of the song when it starts. And one question about that: is the part between 2:55 to 3:11 and 4:09 to 4:21 part of "Jojo Saves The Day" or "We Are Here"? (Those are my favorite parts by the way) :)
Tis apart of "Jojo Saves the Day"...I put those intervals in because on the CD that's when the songs change, although they are basically one song when you consider how consistently the orchestra transitions from "We Are Here" into "Symphonophone" and lastly into "Jojo Saves the Day"...I'll eventually put it up "Roping and Caging", "For the Children", "The Mob" (I think that's what it's called...) I've come to love all the music of "Horton Hears a Who". Loved hearing from you, too. :D
It isn't. :D That scene is amazing and you shouldn't hold back exactly what you feel or wish to say. Express yourself and let the world know about your passion for the film! I certainly have with all my Seuss slides as you can see.
The "Symphonophone" was the most amazing thing I have probably ever heard. I loved this whole movie and I look forward to watching it again. I am absolutely in love with that song. Thanks for posting this video. ^^
I'm actually thinking of buying this movie when it comes out, and to be honest, I've never bought a movie in my life. The movies I do own personally are presents from either birthdays or Christmas, but this one I really want to purchase when it comes out on DVD.
This is definitely a film I find very precious to my heart. It speaks such strong messages of hope, faith, belief in the impossible, overcoming the uniformity of life and what something is supposed instead of what it truly is and is meant to be.
If you're interested, I've done a few other Horton videos recently in honor of each of the characters. I started with Jojo,Katie, and Vlad. I finished one today called, "Some Who,Somewhere" for the pure delight of the film.
YOP is just so awesome! where did u find dat pic where it says: Jojo is luder then you ver believed! Where did u find dat pic cuz I WANT IT!!! plz tell me!
Wowwie! Thank you! High thanksgiving indeedy :D! You ought to hear the rest of the Cd. ;D Next one I'm doing is the theme to the Kangaroo...While yes it is true she's the villain, there would've been no conflict to make the story interesting without her. And she has an interesting theme song that distinctly says, "Here I come. I'm sour and I want the world to know why. Hear me and obey!" Lohahaha!
Great news everyone! JojoisAwesome just reported that "Horton Hears a Who" is coming out not in August as I thought but on July 22nd!!! Excitement! Ecstasy! Great joys! *dances like Horton* It's great to know we won't have to wait too much longer! Hope there are enough copies for everyone...:D
That was great! Good job! Where did you get the picture at 3:55? That's, like, my favorite picture of Jojo...I think I'm becoming obsessed with this movie. =]
Aren't we all? I may make another ya'll...Working on a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" music video right now but I plan on choosing another song from the Cd.
Well get ready for my third "Horton Hears a Who" soundtrack song! It's due to the response I've gotten since I made this one and "Into Whoville/Breakfast with the Mayor".
I appreciate your high appraisals! :D I simply uploaded it on my Windows Movie Maker, found the images, and put them together to make what you see on my Youtube account. God's given me a great understanding of how to put the right clips together with the right songs...That's all...
The Horton Hears A Who! soundtrack is so awesome. Although, I was a little bit disappointed that the finale, "Can't Fight This Feeling" wasn't on there.
I just uploaded "Into Whoville/Breakfast with the Mayor"! :D Hope everyone loves that one as much as they've favorited this one! lohahaha!!! And you commented! Thank you...
Quigquadifficiously so...Not an actual word but it's the first thing that sounded like a compliment to me...in my mind anyways...lolol...Wow! I'm glad this soundtrack could bring so many folks together! :)
Why do you think I posted the soundtrack here! lohahahahahaha! I'm in love with this film, too...Got my copy at my local Borders. Usually Barnes and Noble or Borders bookstores will have a varied selection of soundtracks from recent films. I plan on posting "Into Whoville/Breakfast with the Mayor" next. Thanks for the comment!

I'm almost completed with my second "Horton Hears a Who" tribute using "Into Whoville/Breakfast with the Mayor". I'm drinking Izze (fizzical juice basically) and am a nightowl! :D
Want me to upload it tonight or wait till tomorrow? I'm nearly through!
That song is,too, one of my favorites on the soundtrack! Will do when I get back from my granddad's. I also love "Fall from Tree". It's a melody of such beauty, innocence, and Seuss combined. I've been humming that one all day long.
I wish I could've found more images of the mayor, the whos singing, Jojo, etc...It would've made this video all the more great...not to say that my video isn't fantastic...lohaha...:D It was worth making just to hear you and all my fellow Whovians and Horton fans here commenting!
I put my whole heart into my work. I enjoy what I do. :)
John Powell does all the awesome film music!
Horton Hears a Who, How to Train Your Dragon, Ice Age...
They all have a similar style too, his work is so recognizable. I knew it was his compositions straight away while watching How to Train Your Dragon.
