  • Where's Nicholas Parsons?

  • Hang on a minute, is this that smug bastard off "EGGHEADS"?

  • The Speed Round is what I call the Minute to Win It.

  • i like the british version of sale, but those are some AWFUL bargains.

  • Hi Pumphol. Do you happen to to have any episodes of Wipeout with Paul Daniels or Bob Monkhouse?

  • @Visonu

Sorry Vis, I am afraid not, that was always one programme I wanted to get on to but sadly though I went to a couple of auditions I never made it on to the show.

  • I like how he sports that tash.

  • There were two people to go against and one was Kevin Ashman. Ouch.

  • hahaha he looks ace with a moustache

  • Right at the end... where does he take him shopping? Diagon Alley?

  • Its not exactly Harrods I know but he is only interested in the car anyhows which he won a couple of more shows down the line.

  • I'd say it was more like the last 20 seconds. Kevin Ashman is such a good guy and knowing as much he does, I commend him massively for keeping his humility. Undoubtedly the best Egghead, I wish there were more of him on youtube. Perhaps his record breaking display on mastermind. Great guy. In other news, why on earth is Judith still an egghead? Crazy stuff

  • Judith is an egghead coz she's awesome! She brings some humor!! lol

  • In the last 30 seconds, Kevin becomes some sort of omniscient machine of question answering. It's quite scary.

  • I agree.

  • Eighties quizzes (I presume this was sometime in the late 80's) had a unique touch - namely the glitzy tarts who stood next to a board of numbers, then waved their arm across a speedboat.

  • @finesse150

    Actually it was around 1993

  • Oh Kevin, glad you dropped the 'tache. You're a legend mate.

  • LOL at 6:45 the woman looks at him as if to say, "Is this guy human?!"

  • if you are going to lose to someone may as well be kevin, who in my opinion is the cleverest person on the planet.highest ever score on mastermind, millenium winner of 15 to 1-awesome.

  • What's Maria doing these days?

  • Just google Maria Rice Mundy & there are plenty of links

  • Unlucky man, I would have cried if I went against Kevin lol.

Have you ever gone on Eggheads?

  • No inclination to try Eggheads tbh, I know a few people that have been on the show & its been given the thumbs down by most of them , for one when you go on the show you have to go with six people not five as they need a standby & from the two groups of people that I know the best player was picked NOT to take part in the show !

    Not a coincidence omo.

  • Oh really? That sounds pretty unappetising, I must admit.

So do they test you in some way even before you face the Eggheads? Or is there a kind of quiz you must take during the application process?...

  • That I dont know, just told by two people from two different teams that it was not the great quizzing experience they had hoped for.

  • Are you planning to try for Are you an Egghead where you can become one yourself?

  • Sadly the knowledge of most of the Eggheads is far far superior to mine, just enjoy a good day out to be honest, anything in the way of prize money like on Panic Attack is a complete bonus.

  • it's pure memory. knowledge is memory, without memory knowledge is nothing.

  • Somebody needs a shave!

  • Do you have any Bullseye with Jim Bowen

  • Sadly not

  • £95!...even in those days aswell!

  • Even I had hair back then.

    TGM

  • This was recorded around 1993 TGM, not 1963 ( smiley face )

  • Simon Cowell was also a contestant on this show.

  • Goodness... the tache! He was actually quite attractive despite that though... I can't believe I just said that.

  • LOL

  • That is why he was the world quiz champion 3 years running.

  • lol this is funny for many reasons. Bad luck going up against Kev.

  • Yes going against Kevin was tantamount to quizzing suicide, this was probably the cause of me now being follicly challenged.

  • Do you happen to have his mastermind episode where he scored 41 points?

  • Sadly not, only have this because I was on the show,do remember him winning the mastermind final 41 points I think & no passes an amazing performance.

  • Unlucky.

  • Kevin Ashman could go all the way to win a brand new luxury car on the british version of SALE OF THE CENTURY, which was originally aired on SKY ONE circa 1993. The host was: Peter Marshall, and the hostess was: Maria Rice Munday. What a rarely seen british classic on TV, wasn't it, folks.

  • kevin is a legend

  • Totally agree & also one of the nicest people you could wish to meet.

  • lol, didnt even look at who posted the video

  • apparently the one on the right is kevin from Eggheads, and the one on the left is betfair forum legend Pumphol

  • LOL

    The words got out then
