great theme, but I got my crap rocked fighting this guy, I just beat it tonight, had to spend hours leveling up to 66, and didn't change my job class, because I hadn't switched since the beginning and the were to high to start over. Finally beat her with a monk, thief, red mage and a warrior, even beat the 4 dark knights beforehand

I defeated Cloud on my first try, I got lucky. My party combo was Dragoon, Ninja, Devout and Summoner. Ninja lasted about four turns with shurikens and then he wiped, Dragoon got off a few jumps. But the White Mage and Devout tanked all her attacks like a boss.

Apparently Cloud of Darkness's attacks are all magic-based, except for one. A high magic defense is optimal for fighting her.

I gotta say, Final Fantasy 3's music was great, but...to me, after a certain point, the game was just, like, a big "fuck you, gamer boy". I mean, Doga and Unei were the worst bosses I've ever had to fight EVER. Not to mention there was absolutely no New Game Plus, so even after you beat the CoD, it's not like you could start a new game thinking you can get revenge on all of the bosses that you had difficulty killing.

Their requiem skill basically was 9999 damage to CoD at the beginning of every turn and 7999 damage to her tentacles (both, yes, BOTH tentacles) and as the CoD's HP gets lower, the damage gets lower, which helps you keep track of how far along you are in the battle. Yes, Arc (who I named after me) was one boss bard.

(which is why the heroes of light were chosen, to destroy that imbalance) In the game it talks about the previous generation of heroes who were the Heroes of the Dark who had to rebalance the light... so yeah... something about that x3

I'd say Cloud of Darkness, Zeromus and Necron and Ultimecia were my hardest final bosses, while Yu Yevon, Kefka, Chaos and Neo Exdeath were my easiest ^^

(Ultimecia was hard, but I just spammed Holy War xD And Yu Yevon was the easiest by miles because he was very vulnerable to Doom, so I just used Kimahri's Doom and played with him until the doom time ran out =P)

The most harsh places in Final Fantasy III is the Dark Cavern, Earth Crystal way and the Crystal Tower and lots of nasty spells as well. I have noticed that they give you all the good spells at the end of the game.

Lol yeah. The northern cavern in FF VII is also quite hard, with all those creatures that could one hit KO you without problem. The magic pots who requested elixirs to be defeated were also pains in the ass. It is... completely amazing. There´s nothing better than when you beat a "hard as hell monster" in a FF game, III is no exeption.
