I'm in CAP and I'm 14 and after high school I'm going to do Basec training I'm going to join the Rangers and then i plan to try green beret selection and I'm out of shape and I want to be in shape for boot camp so any work out secedual to help?

@Sn0zY4 hope your going for infantry! :) But yes, i want to do MP or Security Officer for the job tasks and the fact that I can end up working in several different countries and even teaching other nations, but start out with a cadence and it just makes you want to select infantry. although in reality you just get treated like shit.. Cant make a decision until ROTC's over anyways even then its not going to be my choice.

@Skyrim97 just make sure you study the basics:math, English,word comprehension since your in high school ask your teachers to go over some material with you.......I did and scored a 83on the ASVAB
@BackBlocks09 * I went through the Air Assault course back in the late 80's at Ft Cambell. It was timed road marches with full combat gear (moderate pace I thought). Lots of repelling and fast roping both off towers and helo's. Moderate PT most days. Not the most challenging of schools I went to but no a gimmie either. If your a soldier going in, and used to doing this kind of thing its very do-able. If not expect it to be more challenging. RECON 2/504 HUAAAAA!! (82nd)

Never been in British Armed Forces so I can't speak on how well they're trained...But nobody, I mean nobody outmatches United States Special Operations Forces...Finest professional soldiers selected from a country of nearly 400 million. The more people you have, the better your chance of finding genetic freaks who can do jobs men not as God gifted can do...that's why highschools are split into divisions for sports based on the number of students they have...food for thought.

The United States Army National Guard has more soldiers than the combined total of the british military. we have 1.4 million between all branches and 830K in reserve. we also have the largest military budget in the world for a grand total of 533 Billion dollars. so please lets be real here. If we put a British Team, of basic infantry against American Basic Infantry, all the same kit, the Brits would win, because they've been trained longer, harder and been taught to use what's infront of them, and how to work completely independently, and they can do everyone else's job in the team is anything goes wrong. But put the two armies against each other, we would get thrashed, because you have a huge budget! Not as well trained, but better.

I love the American because they support their troops! I never went out here to diss any of you, I came out to support! But the real reason Brits are bitter towards Yanks, is blue on blue, some fine soldier's have been lost to blue on blue. There is a lot tension because of that, but I came to support.

@BackBlocks09 * I went through the Air Assault course back in the late 80's at Ft Cambell. It was timed road marches with full combat gear (moderate pace I thought). Lots of repelling and fast roping both off towers and helo's. Moderate PT most days. Not the most challenging of schools I went to but no a gimmie either. If your a soldier going in, and used to doing this kind of thing its very do-able. If not expect it to be more challenging. RECON 2/504 HUAAAAA!! (82nd)

Too many troops didn't make it because they were trying to climb the rope with just their arms.

Never been in British Armed Forces so I can't speak on how well they're trained...But nobody, I mean nobody outmatches United States Special Operations Forces...Finest professional soldiers selected from a country of nearly 400 million. The more people you have, the better your chance of finding genetic freaks who can do jobs men not as God gifted can do...that's why highschools are split into divisions for sports based on the number of students they have...food for thought.

They just randomly started cutting our budget and took our Navy's flag ship out of commission! The United States Army National Guard has more soldiers than the combined total of the british military. we have 1.4 million between all branches and 830K in reserve. we also have the largest military budget in the world for a grand total of 533 Billion dollars. so please lets be real here. Half my point was that the government doesn't give us enough money and doesn't let us have enough troops. I was praising the way your government handled things by actually supporting your troops. If we put a British Team, of basic infantry against American Basic Infantry, all the same kit, the Brits would win, because they've been trained longer, harder and been taught to use what's infront of them, and how to work completely independently, and they can do everyone else's job in the team is anything goes wrong. But put the two armies against each other, we would get thrashed, because you have a huge budget! Not as well trained, but better.

@rekke41 Yeah and neither do Brits! After 'Phase 1' they do 'Phase 2', and it's continuous, and you should see some of the people that are produced. If you need proof, look into the Falklands war. I love the American because they support their troops! I never went out here to diss any of you, I came out to support! But the real reason Brits are bitter towards Yanks, is blue on blue, some fine soldier's have been lost to blue on blue. There is a lot tension because of that, but I came to support.

Inter-branch and international rivalry will always exist (and a good thing, too), but when the shit really hits the fan, the British and Amercan military are brothers. When I was in the jungles of Kenya, I'd have no problem being led by a US Ranger, SEAL or Delta soldier. And besides, we're all grunts and fucking proud of it regardless of regiment or country.
