  • @dragonballprincess10 he never said a mumbling word i think

  • For me, this is one of the best cover ever done by Cobain...

  • this is one of those.. u listen to what the story really tells.. and then u sit there and see how spoiled the belief sounds.

    good job cobain. :)

  • VV proof that Legal weed fucks you up

  • beautiful epic song!!!!!!!!! rip kurt! & a shout out to leadbelly too

  • I know why he made this...I saw him in Seattle in 1988 he was walking through the water park and I felt like saying something. I said "hey Jesus" I was 11. He looked like Jesus with his long hair because in 1988 short hair was normally popular. He said he wasn't from Seattle I told him I was from Wisconsin and he only goes to Seattle for concerts. He invited us to his concert that night with Soundgarden. And three years later they were stars! We even talked about Jimi Hendrix's short career. : )

  • @TheHelixSpirit wow you ment him???

  • @zac1199 Yeah It was weird though because I spent a lot of time talking to him and my family was telling me to come along. I was in a group of around ten people and he invited all of us to their concert that night. I asked my dad he said we were going back to Vancouver. And then Kurt was not a big star but it really shows all of us that we all have the chance to become big stars. But was it the journey? Or did I already know that his comment about three albums like Jimi were really his loss?

  • @zac1199 Kurt said that his plan was to do the Jimi Hendrix thing and die after his third album. I was eleven years old and I said that he should continue making music. He said something I didn't relate to but I'm always about good spirits and intentions. He felt like he already owed something to someone. Like he was raised to pay someone back or someone he knew when he was young had passed away and he felt three was the magic number? I told him off a little he smiled and choked up.

  • @zac1199 We're both Pisces if that means anything? There was bonding musically because I already planned on being a rock star. I feel in a way that myself meeting him and meeting a scout from Geffen Records in 2007 is related in that bond. But the amount of evil in that bond is demonic and I really can't deal with being in an industry that isn't good, rather wants us to die. I can vision quest on Kurts reality that he was seduced by Geffen Records before he was in Sub Pop. Someone worked us!!!

  • @TheHelixSpirit sounds like you're full of shit tbh

  • @TheHelixSpirit Are you full of shit or what? Jesus H....

  • @TheHelixSpirit

Lucky you, buddy. I would have given both my legs to meet this guy lol. Nice story though. I wasn't born until 88

  • @TheHelixSpirit your a legend

  • This Is a good song. Point made

  • Maybe he's being sarcastic as his personality but it's a good religious song, it depends in which meaning or symbolism you play it, it can be a good song for praising and I really like his folks covers :)

  • This is a Leadbelly cover. Thanks.

  • i can listen him all day long...

  • There is a such thing as "justified suicide" where a person takes their own life, but they have mental problems (depression, paranoia, bipolar disorder, etc) so they aren't in their right state of mind. I think it also takes into account substances that alter a person's mental state. Just because he killed himself doesn't mean he's in hell. He had depression and other mental disorders, as well as a drug addiction.

Either way, I love him to death.

  • i love this song and i like how he sanged it!

  • Kurt's friend Dave Reed (I think that was his name) witnessed to Kurt and he became a born-again Christian and was baptized and went to church- supposedly where he met a Krist novaselic's brother, who introduced Krist to Kurt, and then Nirvana eventually started. I think that, Kurt was saved, but he just got sucked into the temptations of a fallen, sinful world. I hope he is in Heaven. Jesus died on that cross and forgave every sin past present and future that we will ever make.

  • @Ausbis145josh wow you do realize how dumb you sound right know this is a leadbelly song kurt liked it so he sung it its just a song.

  • @H20Buffalo1 I really don't give a damn. It seems everybody on the internet is incapable of acting civilized and nice.

  • @Ausbis145josh lolzed so very true

  • @Ausbis145josh Sorry dude I dont normally mean to be an asshole Must have had a bad day.. but sorry man

  • @Ausbis145josh he killed himself man where do you think he is and plus just because he became a born again christian doesnt mean he was saved. Listen to what he says in his songs and his interviews. Realize why did what he did. and for all of you who do not know THIS IS NOT KURTS SONG. It was a cover and hell just because he covered it means nothing about his life in christianity hell i'll cover it right now and im an atheist. Plus kurt bounced buddhism to hinduism says his journals. Nirvana.

  • @BeckMCS9876 i might have misunderstood but if you are an atheist then why would you suggest he would go anywhere bad for committing suicide?.. i personally have no religious beliefs so please i'm not down for diving into "that" discussion lol

  • @pennyroyaltea89 oh what i mean by that is. For those who believe in a good or bad afterlife then where he would go is hell.

  • @BeckMCS9876 oh okay i gotchya... isn't it supposed to be like purgatory or something if you take your own life?...i dunno whatever lol :p

  • @pennyroyaltea89 But for Christians hell for all pretty much.

  • @BeckMCS9876 haha yea pretty much..catholics are good for that too

  • @pennyroyaltea89 when we die it can only get better, HELL is LIFE! i believe that each case is different. if someone killed there self, and they were truly down in spirit, i think they can get a free pass to a better after life. rest in peace Kurt. some 17 years later and we still miss you like crazy, even if you didn't like us or didn't want us to listen to your music.

  • Really Great song!! New one for me!! Im glad Kurt found Jesus!! Now he RIP in Heaven!! Right on!! I dont know where you unearthed this masterpiece but great post!!

  • @coolanddark its a leadbelly song he listened to

  • whtever kurt u r very best for me....and world....

  • Bellissima, secondo me Kurt sciolti i Nirvana avrebbe potuto proseguire con una eccellente carriera da solista.

  • this is a Leadbelly song they made a whole demo of all leadbelly songs

  • love this tune !

still wont beat the performance of 'Drain You' on french tv in 94

  • I believe Leadbelly also did a cover? But it's an old church hymn, to begin with.

  • ya leadbelly did a version of this song too it is an old American spiritual folk song. i sure do miss Kurt and Nirvana though thanks! for the post Zeal
