My main computer is a laptop, so it's battery is kind of a UPS. So when electricity goes down, I'm happy! And it doesn't have fans! The thing I want is a new mouse or a cooling pad.
I just have the small apc es 350 (200 watt) ups, which only gives me about 2min of battery life on my desktop (enough time to save files and hibernate it) I then either fire up the generator in my garage or just use my 5 hour macbook (depends on the weather, storms, tornado...etc). I also have those little SLA power packs/ jump starters (4) which each gives me more than 2-3 hours of run time for my macbook and even more for my wireless router and dsl modem. Just wish they made Lithium ion ups's.
problem with most ups is they never required and after 5 years the day u do need um the battery is now usless since batterys in um need to be drained then fully recharged constantly to keep optimum preformance since this has never happend they last 30secs then pc dies any way lol
fu...... suka, say samting new, stop break heads ,blaaaa kucha!

He did say in another video never to plug a laser printer into a UPS. He said in this video that he IS going to. Make up your mind.

I use a Belkin PF40 Power Console, which is not a UPS, but just a line conditioner and surge protector. 7700 joules, 264,000 amps of protection.
