  • y the four imams only... look beyond... there were many other contemporaries of these imams. These imams were only pushed forward for political reasons not that i am trying to shed doubts on their authenticity but i dont understand why people restrict themselves to folllowing one particualr madhab, when the imam themselves have never stipulated that only ONE imam should be followed... And no where did the final messenger ordain to follow one madhab ... Salaf us saleh

  • very nice nasheed x

  • Assalamu Alaikum, re the authentic hadith, thats why we cannot rely on our own interpretations of hadith, each has a specific context, or how can we reconcile hadiths that contradict others. Prophet SAAW never lied. Thats why we need to understand the context. Seeing as the hadith also warns of other dangers such as alcohol, it wouldn't B unreasonable 2 wonder if the context was of taverns where wine is served and women of a degraded status sang, investigate the 4 imam's opinion Insha Allah.

  • THS IS NT SONG...

  • if your a muslim why would you question commands of our Almighty creator Allah swt, do u know better thn ur creator?? NAUDHOBILLAH!!

  • im not questioning his commands!!!... i read Nammaz, fast, read the Quran an all da other thinsg God commanded us but i question things that people like Shiek's say coz tats thier opnion an not wat God says...and obviouly i don't know better then Him coz he all-knowing!!!

  • One hadith from the Bukhari Shareef, the most authentic Book of Hadith, further confirms unlawfulness of music and singing :

`There will be people of my Ummah who will seek to make lawful; fornication, wine-drinking and the use of ma`aazif ( musical instruments ).`

Detailed analysis of the arabic word `ma`aazif ` shows that it refers to musical instruments, the sounds of those musical instruments and singing with the accompaniment of instruments.

  • Closer analysis of the wordings of the Hadith establishes the prohibition of music. Firstly, the words `seek to make lawful ` shows that music is not permissible, as logically one can only seek to make lawful that which is not allowed. Secondly, if music was not prohibited, then it would not have been brought within the same context as fornication and wine-drinking.

  • ok but isn't it better to listen to nasheed with music which reminds of u of Allah'Taala then e.g. hip hop???.... i think coz da worlds is moved on, so there is a great change so u will have to consider tat. Howvever i'm not gonna say coz of tat music is allowed coz obviously according to the Hadith u said it isn't allowed. Thank u alot... (but i'm still unsure) :)

  • i agree with you on the sheikh thing because i have a friend who bows down to his sheikh and he calls him his master. it seems like the sheikh has lied to him and made it seem okay for him to bow down to a sheikh

  • yep, i think that the Sheikh are useful but sometimes they might go overvboard an think tat they know everything wen its obvious they really don't coz there are still some questions unanswered. Anywayz different Shiekhs have different opinions therefore its kinda of hard to actaully believe them...overall they just confuse me more.

  • it seems like they like to bend the rules lol. one man once told me anything from the brain is most likely fake. i believe him because scientists and historians say things from their brain with no complete proof.

  • yep i so agree. i sometimes don't even tust my own brain...LOL. but it's like a fact that humans can't be relied on coz they can forget, exagerate, get confused therefore even though i know Shiekhs are liek maybe one of the best Muslims these days, they can still be wrong, no one can be 100% sure except Allah'Taala.

  • also people forget about the ayah in surah luqmaan and they refuse to the tafseer of lahwal-7adeeth

  • what ever you question..ask it to a sheikh.. an Alim a relegious person not just you're mother or dad. To tell you the truth its not good to question a lot..specially if its in the QURAN..but maybe you dont understand or some misunderstanding. Like Bani israeel they questioned a lot and they ended really bad. Take my advice in consideation

  • im not questioning things Allah'Taala or da Holy Quran but i question thing like naheed with music being allowed or not? there is no quote in the Holy Quran tat says music not allowed but Shiekh's says it isn't. I just wonder which 1 is right. An coz naheeds with music don't misguide u an Allah'Taala says things that misguide us isn't right and stops u from thinking about Allah but nasheed with music doesn't.

  • Personally the music distracts you from the words which are being recited a lot of the time so you'll find many people like the music because of the "beat" or the "guitar riff" etc. so the music is a distraction. Read the comments of surah luqman 31:4. All the major commentators of the quraan eg. Imaam Ibn Katheer quote the Companions, and who knows the quraan better? Our generations or the Companions? So take the stronger opinion

  • it may disturb some people but most people that have commented didn't say that the naheed has nice music but they say that the nasheed had a nice meaning. I believe that its better to listen to nasheed with music then to listen to a song with no reference to Allah'Taala.

  • don't think I am attacking you, also there's the issue of whether it's imitating the style of disbelievers which is bad, hip hop is very gangsta for example.

  • obviously ur to expressing ur opnion so i'm sure ur not attacking or anything...but da example of copying da disbelievers i think isn't really a strong argument e.g. its like saying that women before were not allowed to work outside and now that they do its copying the disbelievers, its just that people now has a wider knowledge of Islam and that thw society has moved on therfore so do we...but obviously move on in an islamic way :)

  • I would disagree with the above as women did used to work publicly it just never was publicised; remember the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a business woman and that didn't stop.

  • very good point however because people's interest are changing e.g. people like rap more then usual vocal songs, artist need to attract their attention and giev the message of Islam to them even if it does use music :)

  • do we sacrifice our morals though for the sake of da3wah?

For example would you go to a nightclub just to give da3wah?

  • sorry didn't get what da3wah is??? my point is that because there has been lots of changes since teh Prophet time we need to move iwth the changes but still fallow Islama and i also think exceptions should be made i.e. music.

  • da3wah=propagation i.e. teaching people about islaam. basically Ahmed Deedat, Dr. Zakir Naik etc.

I am saying should we sacrifice our morals for these people? Remember Islaam came as a stranger to the world. and remain stranger. So give glad tidings to the strangers

  • im do give glade tidyings and i'm not saying that we should sacrife our morals i.e drink but just to moves within time.

  • @ozzyozbonze There will certainly be people from my Ummah who will attempt to legalize fornication, the wearing of silk (for males), the consuming of wine and the use of musical instruments

  • i'm not trying to legalisze naything but can you please give me the exact line where it is written that music is haram???....as i was told wen the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) went to Madina they sang a song with instrument in it...so how can one say they are suer music is wrong. I think music is wrong wen it takes you away from Allah'Taala but nasheed with music don't...its better then da other songs which isn't even related to Islam which doesn't have music.

  • @ozzyozbonze well in the quran, i think surah azhab in the beggining about puchasing idle talks, and ulema say the tafseer of this ayat refers to music, but the prophet forbade musical instruments, and you have to know that when he did that because wahi came over many years, so in the begining looking and talking in salah was not a problem, untill wahi came down, and then prophet pbuh said to not talk and stay still, so maybe it was allowed but as we know it is not allowed, muslim bukhari.

  • @SheikhBosni Allah Azwajal knows best.

  • `There will be people of my Ummah who will seek to make lawful; fornication, wine-drinking and the use of musical instruments.` (Bukharee)

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: In this Ummah there will be punishments of earthquakes, showers of stones and deformity (transformation into animals); that will be when the people drink alcohol, listen to female singers and play musical instruments. (at Tirmeedhi)

  • we are told to fallow the Holy Quran and it's not mentioned in it that music is haram. weather i listen to nasheed with music or not it doesn't make a differece coz i listen to da meaning and wen i recite with it, i recite da words, not da music!...generally the things that are haram is things that take u away from Allah'Taala and nasheed with music doesn't!

  • Ozzyozbonze, u take a very pakistani approach to this argument.I am also pakistani, so im not being racist. I totally disagree with u. U are making a real big mistake in interpreting the quran to what ever suits u. It takes years of studying to even understand some verses in the Qu'ran. U r basically disagreeing with thousands of scholars who have studied hadith, quran and sunnah and have all agreed that music is not allowed. Ask urself would our beloved prophet (pbuh) listen to these nasheeds?

  • @badman1877, i do not interpret the Quran to what suits me, i read what i see and i havn't seen a verse in the Holy Quran so far that has said that music is haram. And scholars are yet not in total argreement about wether it is right or wrong. You have raised a good question brother but as u would know i cannot answer that, but my point is that i listen to nasheed with and without music: not coz of da music but the words and i weep for da words and not da music! the music has little relevance.

  • @badman1877 YES THEY WOULD!

  • @ozzyozbonze

    Assalamoalaikum

brother plz don't say such words so easily....u think everythin is xplained from Quran....wud u tell me any description about how to offer prayers, how to go for an ablution, how to perform Haj how to fast n all...u get it from Sunnah of Holy Prophet Suallallahoalaihewasallum n his Aahaadith mubarka??isn't it so???

so brother plz checkout it has been mentioned clearly in Ahaadith that music instruments r mkroe tehrimi or haram n punishments r mentioned!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @ozzyozbonze

well ya the example of DAFF is pretty obvious through the history of Islam.....but how come u defendin each n every kinda musical instrument just under the umbrella of this example....u knw abt Ahadith regardin flute or so when Rsol Allah suallallahoalaihewasallum hated it and put his fingers into his ears and told abt punishment too.....

only daff is allowed...as proved from TALA'AL BADRO ALAYE'NA event.....

  • @kh4n5

1 u can't link this Hadith to Naats ans Nasheeds, because they r a form of Dhikr praising the Noble Prophet sallahu alaihe wa'alehi wassalam.

2 U don't know if this Hadith is sahih, Hassan, weak or fabricated.

3 If this Hadith is authentic, then it probablly refers to all the satanic music that surrounds us nowadays, the type that has a negative effect thus corrupting the mind.

  • @ANTIJPUG I am not reffering to nasheeds
