Wendi, what is the secret to accepting the words of the hypnotist? I have tried time and time again and nothing works, not in the slightest. It sounds like you need to use your imagination. What if you decided that it would not be a matter of it working or not working, but that you would close your eyes and let your body and brain simply learn to create, imagine and daydream as the words are said. Did you listen with your eyes closed?

It is a matter of practice. You have to teach your mind how to daydream, imagine, be creative and let go of the left brain need to analyze. You can get into that wonderful dreamy headspace, but it will need practice. If you were to let yourself listen to a session every day, it is possible you would engage the ability in your brain to be immersed in the experience, rather than being in the analysis mode. Make sense?

The second voice is intentional. It is a double voice induction with simple phrases layered under the main message. Try it again, and let your inner mind absorb it.

It's ok, layered voices are quite useful, but the man has a point about them being somewhat distracting, if suggestions are welcome around these parts, I might say there shouldn't be 2 voices on the Center channel, since that creates the interference.

Paul McKenna uses that stuff too, but they come from distinct directions (more left or right) and at certain points they switch places, gradually.

A person does not have to allow it to happen. There is covert hypnosis, embedded commands, and conversational suggestions that are used all the time. I had a client who was conditioned with phrases and a clicking pen to hate her husband. The man doing it was her boss and he used some NLP and covert suggestions that resulted in her feeling bad about her husband.When she came to see me I reversed the damage he did, restored her love for her husband and made her immune to her boss's suggestions.
