I fucking hate britain accent,and pal version of mega drive-SUCKS,eah 50 Hz fucking great -squashing screen,slower frame rate and e.t.c, the same problem with all pal consoles(snes,nes,playstation,­n64,sega saturn). I HATE PAL .

But PAL had a much sharper screen. Not that it really mattered. I had a switch on my Mega Drive and SNES to change it to NTSC. By the way, there's more than just one British accent you know.

Wish I had that Megadrive he had. His version of Golden Axe didn't have massive PAL boarders. Great advert, Sega made some great UK ads I remember well.

Yeah, PAL was better in some respects such as a sharper picture, but as it was a higher resolution than NTSC you had to pay for it with a squashed picture, boarders as a result and a slower frame rate.

We had to put up with awful boarded PAL conversions but got the best adverts. Wait a min in that ad the jammy git he is playing a full screen version. I didn't play Golden Axe at full speed until 2002 when I got an Japanese Mega Drive.

Yes he's in Holby City- I think that this series of adverts for the Megadrive is one of the best. After all, it's a Sega advert.

The original System 16 arcade Golden Axe had significantly better graphics & animation than this downgraded Megadrive/Genesis translation.

The only official home version that's as good as the arcade is the XBLA version on Xbox 360.

This was the first of it's kind for the Megadrive ad campaign if I remember right...Next came the sonic 1 Ad where he says 'Once you start playing Sonic the Hedgehog, everything else seems a bit slow' or somthing like that. back when the MD/SMS/GG had sonic packaged with it. he throws the ninja kid in the air, and claims he'll catch him... find the sonic 1 and the Sonic/knuckles ad's and you win!
