I'm not really a Celtics fan but this trade really took me by surprise. Was Danie Angie held at gun point for this trade or something? They just traded away one of the best defensive centers in the league. Can anyone make sense of that? They just made themselves more vulnerable to other teams like Miami, Chicago, Lakers, Spurs, OKC?? and etc.. Does this sense really make sense to anyone cuz the Celtics just kicked themselves down a notch.
I am a VERY pissed off Celtics fan. Kendrick Perkins didn't look great on the stat sheet, but was extremely important on defense. Jeff Green is good offensively, but the Celtics lost a major part of their team. I really like Nate Robinson, but I guess Ill have to get use to Nenad Kristic. Also, what the hell was up with trading Luke Harangody, Semih Erden, and Marquis Daniels for draft picks? Who does that leave us with on the bench?? This is supposed to be our year, but this hurts.
Boston is no longer a legit contender. They still make the ECF, or maybe the Finals, but they won't win. They have ZERO frontcourt depth outside of Davis and KG.
Perkins wasn't gonna resign with the celtics, he's worth too much now so they decided to trade him in a carmelo type deal. Might as well get something now rather than lose him for nothing. I'd rather him stay but this was actually a move in the right direction for next season. Maybe they can put Big baby or Jeff Green in the 4 and KG at the 5? And don't try to tell me that KG can't play the 5.

I'm not really a Celtics fan but this trade really took me by surprise. Was Danie Angie held at gun point for this trade or something? They just traded away one of the best defensive centers in the league. Can anyone make sense of that? They just made themselves more vulnerable to other teams like Miami, Chicago, Lakers, Spurs, OKC?? and etc.. Does this sense really make sense to anyone cuz the Celtics just kicked themselves down a notch.

I am a VERY pissed off Celtics fan. Kendrick Perkins didn't look great on the stat sheet, but was extremely important on defense. Jeff Green is good offensively, but the Celtics lost a major part of their team. I really like Nate Robinson, but I guess Ill have to get use to Nenad Kristic. Also, what the hell was up with trading Luke Harangody, Semih Erden, and Marquis Daniels for draft picks? Who does that leave us with on the bench?? This is supposed to be our year, but this hurts.

Boston is no longer a legit contender. They still make the ECF, or maybe the Finals, but they won't win. They have ZERO frontcourt depth outside of Davis and KG.

Perkins wasn't gonna resign with the celtics, he's worth too much now so they decided to trade him in a carmelo type deal. Might as well get something now rather than lose him for nothing. I'd rather him stay but this was actually a move in the right direction for next season. Maybe they can put Big baby or Jeff Green in the 4 and KG at the 5? And don't try to tell me that KG can't play the 5.

As a very proud Celtic fan, I am also very pissed about loosing Kendrick. I think with him healthy in the Finals last year we could be looking to repeat. Without Perk, idk how deep of a playoff run we can make relying on big baby and KG alone
