ok let's finalize this argument... I'm not a fanboy.. I just prefer a console that actual has entertainment value... Yes, PS3's do overheat, as well as break down, they do so as much as an XBOX360, and for the same reasons, failure to properly take care of your console. But entertainment value, there's only a few games I'd actually play on PS3, the Devil May Cry 3 and 4, which i can play on my PC, and Uncharted, which doesnt have multiplayer... XBL is a million times better, and has media center

XBOX Customer Service, and repair center, actually takes care of their customers if there's a problem, even if the console is outside of warranty. I've had to replace my ps3 twice, and they've both been out of pocket. The reason for the replacement was mechanical failure, from "overusing" the Blu-ray drive. Sony will not replace the console, or repair it, if such a failure happens, due to the fact the console is not meant to be used for more than a few hours a day...

My XBOX has given me the red ring of death twice, and has been replaced by Microsoft on both occassions. The problem persisted in a not-so-perfect location to store the XBOX, and the overheating caused the motherboard to warp. The reason I purchased the PS3, was the integrated web browser, the ability to dual boot into Linux, as well as it's free online gaming. Action Adventure, RPG, and Strategy/Puzzle games remain, and there's only a limited selection of games that have been produced to caliber quality, and most can be found on another console..

To use the fact the PS3 has Blu-Ray, is redundant. I still watch DVD's, and they look just fine on my 32 inch television. I dont plan to purchase blue ray, as it's slow. "It's A Wonderful Live" said it best. "It's SO SLOW, in fact, you know what developers do? The Install redundant code and information in unused portions of the disk, in order to keep the laser from traveling as much. That, or they install information onto the Hard Drive, which makes all that disk space useless"
