As a figure design art major, a tip for you would most definitely be to not accentuate the lower lashes. Not only are they longer than the top (which no lashes are, male or female) but they are pretty dark for a male subject. Also, your brows look like they are from two different people. Practice makes perfect! :)

Newsflash people: Take a look at your dad's or brother's eye! You see the eyelid makes the eye lashes a bit darker. What? The eyelash is supposed to be barely visible? And if your calling him gay, then you don't get art. Hey, I'm a girl! Let me go draw a female face! Am I gay? NO! The eyelashes aren't too long either. Just the right size for a boy. Also, depending on ethnicity or even hair color some men do have darker eye lashes -naturally-. There's just little point to posting so negatively.

Well I suggest that you should perhaps add in some reflections of the lashes in his eye, and maybe add a bit more shadowing between the brow and upper lid, and some between the eye and the nose.

as an art expert i suggest adding more details and shadows on the nose and you should darken the eyes a lil bit not so dark just a bit and add undershadow to the brows and thats all i can help

ok,(as an artist myself,) if ur not just talking aboit the eyes..(on step 4 ..usaid u needed help,) put more contrast on the nose..of the top og it where it leads to the eye..put more contrast/shadnig on the eyebrows..a little more thicker. and shade the eye lids a little bit darker..so everything can be defined. :)hope that helps. other than tht it lokos good.

Would love to see more aging/maturity in the faces. That has been my thing lately, learning how to sketch the subtle differences that age a face from infancy all the way up to very elderly. I've grown bored with always drawing relatively youthful faces. If you have any skills in this area would love to see a series on it. Look 4ward to it!

@TheOthuyeg well i wanted to concentrate on the eyes, cuz i want to improve those first, eyes are my specialty and lately i have been feeling like i am drawing something wrong, i just cant find out what exactly so i hope that one of u will tell me :), and u are right it takes a lot of time to draw a single face :)

@Riar2009 IMO eyes are fine, some tone can be used to create some depth to the picture, as it looks awfully flat to me.

Not much to add, other than you could have learned more about facial structure and anatomy of the face (eyes) by well, drawing the whole face. There's no point in starting small unless you don't have the room on your paper to do so.

Remember, don't worry about making your sketches look "pretty." The main goal of practice is to experiment and learn form.

@Riar2009 Also, another thing that I've noticed is that all you've drawn are pictures trained purely towards the camera. Don't be afraid to deviate towards different angles.

Picking up a book on human anatomy for artists is one of the greatest resources any traditional artist can pick up.

@Riar2009 So for the eyes, the pupils are not that small and the edge of the iris isn't always touching the edge of the eye unless the eyes are squinting, I hope you fix your feeling of doing things wrong
