Buddha Statue in Leshan China

this is an amazing budda but the walk to get to the top took me my tour guid my mom my sister and brother 5 hrs just to get to the top then the stairs to the bottom was colesed because of 2 much rain so we climbed back down wich took like 10 min and was followed by a stalker onto a boat but in the end we still didnt get any good pics because of a stupid boat infront of us i want to go back to get a good pic

I'm not denying that this statue is a work of art, a tribute to the great sage Gautama Siddharta, & perhaps even a wonder of the world, but nowhere ( if I've sufficiently done my homework ) did Buddha ever express a wish to be regarded as, worshipped as or thought of as a divinity or a savior figure.

W / would Buddha think of having these statues made of him ?
