  • very nice playing! but i would recommend reworking the technique in the right hand because angling the wrist like that could result in damage to the wrist

  • very nice left hand technique but lose the pick! the reason for technique s not only for efficiency but for safety as well.. continuing to angle your right hand/wrist like that could cause severe damage to the wrist and possibly carpel tunnel.

but nice job! i really like the playing

  • joga essa palheta fora

    take this pick OUT!

  • I think you are very good, but you can't play bach like a midi file..

  • haha! Thank you, and you're right.

  • hey I was like you too. I played upto Grade 8 without proper technique. Until my new teacher showed me why its done that way. The real thing with bach on guitar is that it's all about working out the best positions with classical technique and it makes it sound 100% better and easier. Btw It is very good the way you play though, but you should defo invest in classical lessons or at least check out 'pumping nylon' by scott tennant.

    Sorry if I sound patronising.

  • actually it's a lot harder to play using a pick AND a finger. it's a lot easier using just fingers. i guess that's what's holding you back - but don't worry you got it right! all the best from me!

  • Thank you, I appreciate that! All the best from me in return.

  • I know people say technique is important, but to be honest mate, the way you play sounds fine - better than fine, it sounds great :) If you're happy with it, don't worry about what "the book" or anyone else says, just make music the way you want to. :)

  • let the pick aside and take the classical position first and then try to play Bach.

  • awsome ok!......pick is ok for now.....keep it going!

  • pelheta? que merda hein!

  • You play like a country picker. cool.

  • dude you have talent but why the hell are you using a..

    PICK??!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • Thank you! But ya - what a bad habit!!! haha

  • Dude I cant believe you played that with a pick! anyways you should allways follow the rule...never stop and start. Good job though.

  • If I were going to play a clasical piece with a pick that would probably be the one.

  • I played in this manner before studying with a teacher. If you lose the pick and pluck the strings with your right hand you could gain enough efficiency to play without constant changes in tempo. You need to practice with a metronome.

  • Oh! Ya, I would like that. I studied with a classical guitar teacher for a year, so I've gained some good pointers on how to play with the fingers... But I'm just so lazy!

  • Man .. you're blocking yourself... You're burying your skills with this pick in your hand... What is it for? a missing finger?????? the Thumb is VERY important in classical guitar! it gives a different sound... a Bass sound! a powerful sound! here.. you're blocking yourself... practice without it! it might be hard at first but then u'll feel how muuchhhh more practical it is! not anything can be played like this anyway!

Take care! Keep up the good work!

    Jack

  • Ya, you're dead right! I hate the thought of going back to basics, but that's what needs to happen.

  • this guy is awesome...flat pick and all! He dosen't miss a single note!

  • Wow, thank you so much!!! I don't deserve that much credit though - there are a few pretty rough parts. I'm glad that you enjoyed the music!

  • oh except for the whole pick thing. pima man :x

  • I prefer to keep my wrist straight, but don't listen to the others criticizing your technique. I've had 2 classical teachers complain to me (one studied under segovia) to play the way you play because "segovia plays this way and being perpendicular makes for better rest stroke tone blhablhablah". You play the way they were trying to teach me to play, so if you're comfortable playing that way its fine.

  • hi!i felt you did pretty well~ just a few mistakes~ ^^

i felt using the pick along with finger is very difficult technique~ its so amazing that you can do that!!

    great job!!

would you mind if i ask where you can get the tab for this song from?? i got addicted to it after hearing you play this~ ^^ thx

  • I think I noticed someone mention something about your wrist amongst all this cursing... DON'T LET TENDONITIS GET YOU!!! IT CAN SNEAK UP ON YOU, IN A BAAAAAAAAAD WAY! IT HAS SPREAD TO MY SHOULDER OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS.

  • hey there. please for your own sake keep a straight left wrist. compare this video to any video of John Williams. keep your thumb higher up on the neck and drop your shoulder/thrust out your elbow to keep the wrist straight when your on the bass strings. I just dont want you to injure yourself, and I've worked with the hand specialist clinic and know what i'm talking about. nice efforts and best of luck.

  • did you change the tuning of your guitar?

  • trying to play classical guitar with a pick .... use your fingers ....oh nice try btw

  • Pretty good. Just need to work on hitting every note and also try working on your ornamentation. 4/5 :)

  • thats interesting playing with a pick...sounds good though. I put a vid of me playing this piece too. check it out!

  • Good Job! SPlendid with the pick in the hand too. I also do this tune on You Tube, although my I use much rubato and trills, but I think the piece is so expressive and I am sure you agree. Do what makes you happy. Kepp up the good work. You know what you gotta do!

  • Sucks.

  • banjo is totally right

  • Well done! But don't lean too hard on your technics and play it with a little more feeling.

  • La verdad es que es una pieza bonita. Muy bien chaval

Preety good is nice to listening. Beautiful
