You must be thinking the same thing you did about this episode. That alien reminded me of many teachers I had in high school back in the late 1970's/early 1980's (obviously much changed). I might have been tempted to ask the alien, if I was one of the experiment subjects, if it wasn't perhaps it was their species that wasn't very developed if the way they make contact with another species is by killing them? (I wonder if maybe they - or the one alien -- would have had an answer for that?)

Not always, but some could be. Some teenagers might have needed more strict parents then they had (this is still classic problem in schools, teachers are expected to be parents when that's not what teachers were hired for). I'm a straight guy (want to make that clear in what I'm about to write, & to say NO in my junior high & high school years I never got a girl pregnant), but saw many girls get pregnant over years (which in 70's & 80's was more devastating long term than would be later).

I think it's 4:3 ("Full Screen") because I haven't seen any 16:9 versions and the series aired on regular 4:3 tv during 1995-2001. Hope this helps.
