apply just like that with cloth, then use water with a cotton ball to buff out. A CLEAN ONE. A passed down trick from the 101st to me, and me to you. Cocorans are what we shine, they come shiny, so you really need to be good to have them shine more.

I remember in jump school I had to teach you rotc kids how to make your beds. And I just turned 19....

OH and NVER use the wipe on shine products i.e, anything in liquid form. itll dry and crak and flake and people will laugh at you.

I've been enlisted for 7 years. Doing it by hand is only a valuable skill in basic training. After that, getting a hand-held polishing unit saves a lot of time. An alternative is a product called "leather luster" that is a sort of shellaque that dries hard and lasts for about a year; makes your shoes shine like a corfram.

@piehole1234 Hey C/CPO, I feel sorry for your unit. I am the CMC at an Area 13 unit in Washington State (Liberty High School) and we have about 100 cadets in our program. We were told of this nation wide cut and apparently we just made the margin for continued funding. I feel extremely sorry for all our fellow NJROTC units across the U.S. that are being cut. I don't care how small any of the units are, there are always dedicated cadets in each program that depend on our program as a way of life.

@piehole1234 yeah, that seems to happen a lot. A made this video at the beginning of my senior year, I was later promoted to company commander. My unit was under threat of being shut down the whole time I was a member of it. I'm a senior at Maine Maritime Academy now, graduating in 2 weeks with my BS in Marine Engineering. Being in an NJROTC unit helped me put up with being in a regiment of midshipmen for the past 4 years. Good times.

@piehole1234 you are correct, my rate was C/MCPO, my position was C/CMCPO. In the Navy vessels have a Command Master Chief whom is responsible for the well being and performance of the enlisted members of the crew, my position was created within my unit for the same purpose.

Just shine them as normal, Then use Leather Coat Armour all. That's what i used to make my shoes shine. It doesn't damage the leather.
