Absolutely cannot wait for this game, got my collector's edition paid off, huge Ninja Gaiden fan, there may be some changes with the game now with the new director but that's completely ok with me, I welcome change and from what I'm seeing with this demo change is rather good, NG does NOT need dismemberment to be the amazing game that it is today.
The combat 'zooming in/bullet-time effect while button prompting' for EVERY kill looks very annoying. It doesn't make me feel like I'm driving in a sword to someone, it makes me feel like I'm part of an automated cutscene. Hope you can turn that off as well as changing the voice to Japanese with subs as the American voice is awful.
I'm glad to see they are putting in some changes. I don't think there's anything wrong with NG2 (except for the dogs, horrible little things), but if I wanted to play NG2 again, I would play NG2. It will probably be a few more years till I beat NG2 on master ninja, after all.

ok note 00:58 say flying swallow but uh to be very technical that's not a flying swallow. It's more like a alternated version of the guillotine throw but it's a stab instead. A flying swallow would involve a instant decapitation. just though you should know.
@TheBen10aliens terrorists want Ryu Hayabusa, Ryu gets help from Japanese Self Defense force. Ryu went to London and defeated Regent of the Mask (antagonist). Regent of the Mask then places a curse on Ryu Hayabusa.
That is all we know for now.
I don't know why Ryu travels the world in NG3, he might be looking for Regent so he can kill him and curse uplifted.
@xin0 Exactly,he will travel to Al Khali(A fun desert place)searching for a doctor(Maybe not sure) to cure his "Right Arm",and yeeaaah once you start playing on Al Khali...at the beginning of the Stage you will get the BOW at the cut scene!!!

Stealth kills are cool. The blood on bone however... I can see new players not wanting to learn the longer combos. I can see them just hitting a couple of times then blood on bone, blood on bone. I hope in master ninja there are no buttons that pop up on screen. Or at least an option to take off the command prompts. Make it more challenging. It seems the arcade-y hack and slash style is gone... Or there isn't that much of it from what I see :/. That's what I really liked about the previous game

@Rye661 it has something to do with fiend inoe that. Its going to be part of the story. Supposedly sometime throughout the game he starts using the blade of the archfiend instead of the dragon sword. Thats all inoe.

I'm really looking forward to this. It looks like they're doing the same thing they did with NG2: taking the same basic formula and modifying it to give the game a new feel while still retaining the NG feel.
Ninja Gaiden 2/Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden/Black/Sigma both feel like their own entities while still continuing the legacy of Ninja Gaiden-- it's not a matter of "I played NG2 so now I can't go back to NG1"-- they hold their own as separate titles, and I feel that this will be no exception.

This game is going to be awesome, the only thing that keeps it from being a perfect action game like GoW3 was, is the lack of gore.
Looks like the combat makes you feel more badass by feeling the bone on steel action sequences and rewarding you with gradual healing from executing them, just needs graphics improved a bit more, a good storyline, gore, class based online multiplayer like call of duty, halo reach, assassin's creed etc and this would win an action game of the year award.
The gameplay is alright, your video was very informative.
This game in the past has always been a favorite of mine. What this game needs, is body parts to go with that blood. THAT would be the most immersive ninja experience ever.
Team NINJA knows what they are doing. I look forward to this game's release.

@idontlikemakingnames i'm don't know if the game would have a menu system, it could just have a Pause menu instead. Also there won't be a currency or shop. The game is now seamless meaning you will get to use a weapon when ryu acquires it or when ryu upgrades it. You don't have control over it. Rumours are fake, just haters trying to down play this game because it's not a NG2 clone This game will have Normal, Mentor and Master Ninja difficulty.
@ZanXDatsu Team NINJA confirmed only swords/katana will be in the game- pretty much means Dragon Sword, Blade of the Archfiend, possibility Dragon Fang+Tiger Sword and very much likely Kitestu returning.
And from this walkthrough which is a demo in level 1. You can see the Dragon Sword is only at lvl 1 with so much movesets that is nearly as much as a lvl 3 dragon sword. Now imagine NG3 Dragon Sword lvl 3? tons of movesets man:)
and you won't use any other weapons apart from swords!

There's no gore (yet) because they want to avoid the game being banned in other countries. Sweden and other 2 more places in Europe just banned DOA Dimensions so Tecmo Koei will be taking a hit on that loss sales.

Quick Time Event- that's the full name as many people do not know what it means or what it is. People think if a button appears on screen therefore it's QTE.

@jwtdg QTE isn't just about pressing a button you see on screen, there's a difference between Button prompt and QTE. QTE is a scripted event that limits you from controlling the character in motion, all you can do is press the button on screen or else you will fail grave consequences.
Button prompt is basically buttons that appear on screen real time, it doesn't matter if you press the right button or not, no consequences are involved.
@xin0 again, I know what QTE is. Ok, here's my definition: the game forces you to press a button, because it's scripted, or series of buttons in a limited time frame, hence the Q for Quick and T for Time and after the time passes something bad happens to your character. It's not real-time, the game slows down every time waiting for the input for SoB. You are limited in controlling the character because only square will finish the combo for one type of enemy, then triangle, and so on.
@jwtdg QTE is basically a cutscene or scripted event. How can you be attacking someone in NG3 and it automatically turns scripted? you need next generation system for that and amount of coding.

@xin0 if hayabusa is the only playable character then how can their be multiplayer unless the characters that are fighters that you see in the game we can play as.
@ShadowBlade360x when journalist ask that question, it's a trick. Team NINJA confirms only Ryu is playable in Single player, since many gamers complained about them being forced to play as other characters.
Team NINJA isn't giving the hint away who the other playable characters are for online.
And so what if everyone is playing as Ryu online? everyone in Sigma 2 use Ryu while you get 5% players using the ladies. Others only use Rachel to twirl or spam.
@xin0 back to my first comment, my point was that you said in the video there are QTEs for new enemies and then the QTEs disappear...then I type "it's still QTE...". But instead you want to argue about what a QTE is, again, when you call them that yourself in your own video, and what a button prompt is and then I have to type these long posts to explain. And whether it's QTE or button prompt, there hasn't been anything negative shown for failing it, or if it's even possible to fail.
@jwtdg no negatives, just weaker damage, some videos have shown what happens when someone misses the prompt and the button prompt turns from white to violet and ryu slowly slash across the body. but missing QTE in boss fight pushes you back.
words from the players who played the actual demo confirm that even after the button prompt disappear, steel on bone system is completely random with few moves that generate higher chance of using steel on bone.

So it keeps the QTE obliteration techniques of Ninja Gaiden 2, only makes it much easier to punch in.
Not sure if want. I'll still definitely be getting it because FUCK YEAH NINJA GAIDEN.
But I don't think this will be the best.
...BTW, automatic running doesn't increase immersion.

Please stop making yourself look foolish. The antagonist from NG3 who is a British Alchemist was the one that put a curse on Ryu's arm.
In NG2 ending, Ryu's LEFT arm was bleeding, in NG3 his RIGHT arm is cursed.

I'm really looking forward to this. It looks like they're doing the same thing they did with NG2: taking the same basic formula and modifying it to give the game a new feel while still retaining the NG feel.
Ninja Gaiden 2/Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden/Black/Sigma both feel like their own entities while still continuing the legacy of Ninja Gaiden-- it's not a matter of "I played NG2 so now I can't go back to NG1"-- they hold their own as separate titles, and I feel that this will be no exception.

This game is going to be awesome, the only thing that keeps it from being a perfect action game like GoW3 was, is the lack of gore.
Looks like the combat makes you feel more badass by feeling the bone on steel action sequences and rewarding you with gradual healing from executing them, just needs graphics improved a bit more, a good storyline, gore, class based online multiplayer like call of duty, halo reach, assassin's creed etc and this would win an action game of the year award.

The gameplay is alright, your video was very informative.
This game in the past has always been a favorite of mine. What this game needs, is body parts to go with that blood. THAT would be the most immersive ninja experience ever.
Team NINJA knows what they are doing. I look forward to this game's release.

I can't wait to see how Steel on Bone animations would work with different enemies, and with different weapons:)

@xin0 and i wana see how the menu...multiplayer and currency system is going to turn out.... i heard rumors of it only being set to 1 difficulty... hopefully thats not true because after you beat the game you come back and beat it again on the harder difficulty and thats what makes the game truly special..

@idontlikemakingnames i'm don't know if the game would have a menu system, it could just have a Pause menu instead. Also there won't be a currency or shop. The game is now seamless meaning you will get to use a weapon when ryu acquires it or when ryu upgrades it. You don't have control over it. Rumours are fake, just haters trying to down play this game because it's not a NG2 clone This game will have Normal, Mentor and Master Ninja difficulty.

@ZanXDatsu Team NINJA confirmed only swords/katana will be in the game- pretty much means Dragon Sword, Blade of the Archfiend, possibility Dragon Fang+Tiger Sword and very much likely Kitestu returning.
And from this walkthrough which is a demo in level 1. You can see the Dragon Sword is only at lvl 1 with so much movesets that is nearly as much as a lvl 3 dragon sword. Now imagine NG3 Dragon Sword lvl 3? tons of movesets man:)
and you won't use any other weapons apart from swords!

There's no gore (yet) because they want to avoid the game being banned in other countries. Sweden and other 2 more places in Europe just banned DOA Dimensions so Tecmo Koei will be taking a hit on that loss sales.
And Crysis 2 sold well especially on Xbox 360. PS3 was the less seller.

...it's still QTE. You still have to press a button at the moment it slows down and zooms in, the picture, or prompt disappears, not the QTE.

Please research what QTE is exactly. Just because you see a button on screen doesn't mean it's a QTE.
Quick Time Event- that's the full name as many people do not know what it means or what it is. People think if a button appears on screen therefore it's QTE.

@jwtdg QTE isn't just about pressing a button you see on screen, there's a difference between Button prompt and QTE. QTE is a scripted event that limits you from controlling the character in motion, all you can do is press the button on screen or else you will fail grave consequences.
Button prompt is basically buttons that appear on screen real time, it doesn't matter if you press the right button or not, no consequences are involved.

@xin0 again, I know what QTE is. Ok, here's my definition: the game forces you to press a button, because it's scripted, or series of buttons in a limited time frame, hence the Q for Quick and T for Time and after the time passes something bad happens to your character. It's not real-time, the game slows down every time waiting for the input for SoB. You are limited in controlling the character because only square will finish the combo for one type of enemy, then triangle, and so on.

@jwtdg QTE is basically a cutscene or scripted event. How can you be attacking someone in NG3 and it automatically turns scripted? you need next generation system for that and amount of coding.
you demonstrated the meaning of Quick & Time, but what about Event?
i won't reply to you, you don't know what QTE is, you are aware of the name but do not know its functionality let getting confused with realtime and scripted.
I suggest you go back to Shenmue and see how it was utilised

@xin0 it's not real-time like I said, because the game slows down for the input..it waits for you. I didn't say the combat is scripted, it has slow-down and a require specific button press...When Ryu falls toward the enemy, there is no negative consequence seen (is he going to faceplant? haha), so it does not encompass the ENTIRE definition of a QTE, but is still a QTE.
Every reply you make just avoids the points I'm trying to explain, instead you're obsessed with QTE's definition.

@ShadowBlade360x when journalist ask that question, it's a trick. Team NINJA confirms only Ryu is playable in Single player, since many gamers complained about them being forced to play as other characters.
Team NINJA isn't giving the hint away who the other playable characters are for online.
And so what if everyone is playing as Ryu online? everyone in Sigma 2 use Ryu while you get 5% players using the ladies. Others only use Rachel to twirl or spam.

@xin0 back to my first comment, my point was that you said in the video there are QTEs for new enemies and then the QTEs disappear...then I type "it's still QTE...". But instead you want to argue about what a QTE is, again, when you call them that yourself in your own video, and what a button prompt is and then I have to type these long posts to explain. And whether it's QTE or button prompt, there hasn't been anything negative shown for failing it, or if it's even possible to fail.

@jwtdg no negatives, just weaker damage, some videos have shown what happens when someone misses the prompt and the button prompt turns from white to violet and ryu slowly slash across the body. but missing QTE in boss fight pushes you back.
words from the players who played the actual demo confirm that even after the button prompt disappear, steel on bone system is completely random with few moves that generate higher chance of using steel on bone.
