  • I remember not wanting to drum in front of anyone when I was around his age. That won't last long, as soon as he becomes more confident in his playing and as good he sounds that won't be long as well. 30+ years ago Neal was my inspiration and still is... GREAT WORK!!!

  • keep up the practice....nice work

  • O and what a great idol to have

  • Neil Peart is the best freaking drummer in the world! This kid has mad skills too.

  • Wow kid you completely destroy every adult I've seen. You are something special. Can't wait to see where your drumming takes you!

  • fuck you are cood, drummer how long have you played???

  • @TheMrcherryp13 I am the drummer. I have played since I was three. I have a kind of recent video, almost a year old on my channel of me.

  • @hoosier9009 go to the talent show really.

  • awesome work man. thought i was listenin to the man himself for a second. lay off the twinkies though or your not gonna live long enuff to spend them millions :)

  • my mind has be blown

  • Great job kiddo, keep rocking to Neil! Wow!

  • Great job!! I might suggest a new kit though, that one gives you no justice.

  • He speeds up quite a fair bit, but other than that good on him.

  • NOAH 25k views holy crap!!!!!!

  • holy shit!

  • never under any circumstance quit. ever.

  • very good is not the word..That mom is TALENT..

  • Hey Noah's Mom....you really have something special in Noah....I am very impressed...Maybe get closer...let us see him "at work"...very cool

  • @danielscanlon463 LOL, thanks! Noah's Mom and Dad appreciate it...we'll get closer next time. Stay tuned, Noah and Brad are recording now, and hope to have the cd out soon!

  • nice drumming u could be a very famous drummer

  • @themrcod6master Thanks!

  • Dude you should go somewhere and pretend you have never played before and then just bust out this solo it would be sick!

  • 8 people that dont like this..SUCK...good for you kid

  • @horhey1980 Thanks!

  • The kid rocks, and he is lucky to have supportive parents.

  • Wow very good. Now all you need to get to make it sound better is a mallet kat, a cheap on goes for 150 to 250. its a good investment, he could fill in all those parts he cant play because he doesnt have the instrument.

  • @Antmasesan

    Thanks for the comment!

  • Mom deserves a lot of credit for supporting her son's talent.

  • good luck kid! and dont leave it.

  • pretty good, neil is also my idol keep playing

  • awesome kid!

  • I"m...uh...speechless!

  • Thats off his DVDE rite haha? nice job.

  • Only 11 and already he's better than Travis Barker. God, I hate Travis. Anyway, this kid is really good at interpreting the electronic drum parts of Neil's solo and applying it to the acoustic drums. He's got a future in this if he keeps it up.

  • Thats pretty darn accurate! How'd u learn? By ear or Tabs?

  • Ear

  • Kid plays pretty darn well...I'm impressed as a drummer myself. Few sections he speeds up a bit and obviously in this kind of solo he's gonna hit his sticks a couple times, but all in all, very very impressive. Nice quick hands, and he played that barefoot (some like it..I never did).

  • i can do better now that was 2 years ago

  • This kid is amazing. i wish i could play as good as him.

  • I am a beginner drummer also ...please check out mike pritchett drum solo you tube

  • wow nice man!!

  • Right on! I could never play the drums because there were 2 cars in the garage and a pool table in the den. LOL

  • I cant wait untill a band is lucky enough to get you ! I wanna see the results ! Great Job !

  • nice

  • Amazing!

  • Great Job!...

  • Dude, You've got TALENT!!!

  • Excellent playing dude

  • FANTASTIC job man, i've been playing for around 13-14 years and i'm REALLY impressed.

  • im 11 and my name is noah and im not good like dat o.O

  • Talented Kid, walk with confidence

  • Wow. You're better than I ever was. Although I don't play the drums. Nice work.

  • JR the west coast gives you two thumbs up ,keep rockin you've got tallent!!!!!!!!

  • dude.. that was incredible... i wanna be as good as you and im 22

  • O.o You are amazing. Not only am i seeing immense drumming skill, but from an 11 yr old! Keep on orcking dude!

  • Yea man.. Just keep on orcking! ^^

  • You are awesome being able to do the electronic solo part on acoustic drums.

  • dude you rock!

  • Dude you're amazing I'm 14 and I can barely do YYZ

  • Only 11, wow! Neil would be proud.

  • You rock young man! And if you continue to improve your mastery, someone will be making a youtube video playing a solo of yours one day!

  • mom sounds drunk

  • I guess she does, but she's not. That's funny though!

  • this kids a genius and they keep him in the garage...anyone find humor in that? lol its all good

  • Noah, right

well im not a drummer but i am a guitarist of 6 years and ive seen drummers that have played for 20 years and not been as good as you so keep up the good work and post another video when that solo is all finished up. =) keep rockin dude!!!

  • Wow. You are amazing. My jaw dropped when you started playing.

    Keep it up! :D

  • Very very great Drummer.

  • Neil Peart is my idol aswell and really good cover

  • That is fantastic! Goooo!!! You rock boy! Keep practicing!! Thanks for telling me! :)

    Bass Player Girl

  • O.......MY.........GOD

  • this is the best cover of neil's solo that i ever saw

  • I did the same thing with my drum set combined both sets. ummm how did u put yours together. id like to know. or post a video of ur set and show us what it looks like!!

  • I just put 2 sets together. the 2nd base drum is just to hold up the 2 extra toms. I use a double bass pedal.

  • My son is the same way, won't play if I'm watching.

  • He loves an audience! He just didn't Mom to watch that day.

  • Great job buddy! Keep up the great work! Neil would be proud. Practice, Practice, Practice. Keep it up!

  • sorry...but know one will come close to neil

  • Did you not read the heading? He's only 11. Neil is one of a kind! In no way did we try to COMPARE Noah to Neil.

  • @719luke719 - That is the most ignorant comment I've read all month. Neil has been playing for close to 50 years, and this kid came out of the womb 11 years ago. It's always the same on YouTube - those who can't do it, criticize. Besides, I don't think he really cares what people think. He's too busy doing something constructive with his time.

  • @theburyboys 'came out the womb' lmao, i know that other comment was really stupid. This kid is fantastic. Very talented.

  • @desolate2 - Yeah man. This kid's passion for exploration and knack of interpretation are spot on. He's amazing.

  • at 2:20 the toms sound sweet!

  • what kind of drums are these? - 2:15

They have a cool sound, someone respond

  • they are my drums. 2 different sets. 2 snare drums,. the brand of the dark blue set is percousion plus. light blue is CB-700. my snare is percousion plus with an EVANS head, the other snare is CB-700 but with no snares, a high hat cymbal in it, tuned as tight as it can go. ZYLJIN cymbals does that answer your question?

  • I just meant the toms, one or two of the toms has a really nice ringing sound, was it a special add on, or was it a regular tom?

  • no thats how I got them.. so I dont no

  • Very good job, not bad at all. Keep practicing.

  • Wear ear protection, little man. Take it from someone old; you'll be glad you did.

  • LOL. Great job! I remember how embarrassed I was when I first started playing drum, so it was funny to see how shy he is. Don't worry you out grow that quick, and as good as this guy is, people are going to want to see him play a lot. Keep it up!!!!!

  • dude that was awsome, you shouldnt be embarrassed to play in front of your parents.

  • your awsome

  • nice job, this kid deffinetly has talent

  • Nice playing, bud! Keep up the practice!

  • I really want to thank the people who posted all of these positive comments. I've seen assholes rip peoples videos for no other reason than to bloat their stupid egos. Thanks for not being like the rest of the d-bags!

  • Me too!

  • me too too!

  • agreed 100% its pathetic to see people bother to comment when they have absolutely nothing good to say, let alone CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. it's that they have no talent themselves and are just haters! great job kid! its pleasing to see that RUSH will continue to live throughout the generations, by kids like this. more parents need to educate and support their children thru the arts.

  • Well impressive

  • nice! your gonna be really good when ur older, keep it up!!!

  • Good God! Rock on, man! This kid's going places...

  • the solo Is updated... but our video camera broke

  • if this kids 11 hes going some where get him in a band and het some music out there, man this kid is the next neil peart ? you wouldn't happein to be canadian would you? lol

  • Holy crap kid. You rock. Keep it up.

  • you got serious talent and NEIL RULES!!!!

  • for bieng 11, for having just a home drum kit, for trying to play NP solo, u rock man.

  • Very very good!!! Keep playing and don't ever stop.

  • Excellent Dude! You've got great talent.

  • nicenice

  • Not bad... not bad at all

  • nice job

  • The only thing I would say is to let go of your inhibitions and just play- even if your mom was watching, you're going to have to get used to that for when you're playing in front of 30,000 people dude.

  • I know what you mean. Ive played at big parties, county fairs, parks, and in front of the high school. I, for some reason , am not confertable playing in front of one person. Its kinda weird

  • dude i just have the same problem... kind of weird but you are not the only alien in this world hahahaha

  • i like it. keep rockin kid

  • Nice job Noah. Keep it up :)

  • i expected a shitty ass sound but man u must really practice ud bet me i suck :] :)

    nice job

  • I can do better now, but the camera is broken.

  • outstanding for someone that age... 5 stars

  • This is awesome

but if he really wants to become a great drummer he has to learn to write his own stuff not copy

    great work though

  • i do....but i thought it would be cool

  • fuck dude.... beast

  • he needs to buy a bell kit. they start out at a decent price.

  • it was ok...good work for his age but no where close to neil...

  • That's because Neil is 56 and Noah is 11. Give him 45 more years! Thanks.

  • Not bad at all. Keep practicing dude. I've been playing for 30 years and at 11 you are much better than I was. I started when I was 10 to stuff like the Eagles, Peter Frampton, and America. I couldn't conceive Neils playing much less PLAY IT! I saw him on Don Kershner's Rock Concert with Rush at that age. You keep rockin' kid! PS. I'm 42

  • Nuts.

  • haha wow! i was expecting to get a chuckle but i'm really surprised! that was really good! timing and everything , you've got some natural talent kid! now all you need is about 43 more cymbals 37 more toms and a freakishly huge gong behind you and your set..sorry car.. ya gotta go! lol j/k

  • kwl

  • I was with you, expecting a chuckle and I got one when you said sorry car, ya gotta go. Keep up the good work kid and you can write your own ticket.

  • Your amazing!

  • that last part with the 3:4 on the feet is quite hard. I thought I wouldn't be able to do it then one day I woke up being able to play anything i wanted over it. Was very weird.

  • well done, especially the fact that you play

so TIGHT is a two thumbs up, considering your age.

    ;)

  • This sounds great considering he has a fraction of the equipment that Neil Peart does. Kudos to you kid. If you haven't already, I hope you get to see Rush in concert one day, they are awesome and I'm sure it would be a life changing experience for you!

  • I did! they are great! i saw them in tampa like 1 or years ago

  • Noah was listening to RUSH when he was in his mothers womb! We went to the show in Tampa last year.

  • That's great! I've seen them twice and plan on seeing them again in the near future. I'm glad he enjoyed it!

  • scary soccer mum. sounds good make sure u wear ear plugs

  • kid ur amazing. im a huge rush fan so i know a good solo. keep it up dude.

  • really good job man keep it up

  • That was awesome!!!

  • wow that was good

  • Hum...this is interesting. Did your mother grow up around the Toronto area? Hum...I think you have some Peart DNA! You gave me chills! Keep up the great drumming!

  • its funny how small this set is compared to neils and he plays it pretty close to how neil plays it

  • hey noah what up its me from school and man you rock on the drums!

  • Well done from a one huge rush fan to another BRAVO!!

  • Dude, total prodigy! The next Neil!

  • i give you props dude

  • nice mate

  • Dude, you seem pretty good, i must say. Show a little of your own solo, you can cover great, but lets see you bust out a grand solo. xP

  • Noah does many of his own solos at random. I'm usually off in the distance and it's always too late to catch him. I'll get one!

  • The next John Bonham!

  • 11? I know drummers twice this kids age that can't solo like that! Great drumming, keep it up!

  • I'm still clapping kid. Great Job.

  • amazing

  • that was good. the drummer in my band can play the solo from exit stage left.

  • i wish my feet would allow me to the bass/ double hihat pattern with the boom chi-chi thing thats what i call it lol. idk what you guys rly call it thats what i call it. 13 year old drummer whos left handed. my feet seem to hate doing that but cant get enough of john bonham stuff

  • Thats was awesome

  • the kids' got skills. awesome.

  • That is AWESOME! I dont think i noticed any mistakes, that was practically FLAWLESS!

  • That killer kid keep it up and you will be the next Neil Peart.

  • nice job

  • That was fantastic. I'm sure we'll be hearing more of you in years to come - rock on!

  • That was awesome you should listen to some tool danney carey is great. i would love to hear you cover ticks and leeches

  • Reminds me of my childhood.I would have killed to have access to the footage of Neil that is available now. This kid will have a bright future JUST DONT GIVE UP! Keep on practicing.

  • way to go little dude

  • not bad kid,I am 36 and your crossover technique is better than mine, keep it up and don't quit!!! just work on muting your drums-(buy felt strips for the top) a little more and lower your one cymbal. For God's sake loosen that one bottom drumhead, too.Otherwise, you have it down patent, and really good speed and are thorough.

  • I like my drums the way they are.........but thanks anyway.

  • Thre's no doubting your talent but please PROTECT YOUR HEARING!!!

  • thanks i will

  • dang dude...you are good..keep it up

  • damn you're good . keep it up. peart will lead you to drum geartness

  • amazing, good job noah!

  • Good job!
