@Mystic1957 i got a taste of that a couple years ago when i was hanging out down there with my boss. went to his friend's grandmother's house and it was just like going to my great-aunt's when i was a kid. everyone was like family and there was no way you were leaving hungry lol gotta love us italians lol :-)

OMG... this is so awesome!!!! I have lived in Tacoma, WA for 5 years and have sooooo missed out on New Year's! My grandmother lived on the 200 block of Gerritt Street all when I was growing up, and my step-father still lives there. Thank you, thenk you for putting out on You Tube what the 'bigtime' TV broadcast and web sites couldn't ever get right! I can smell the beer breath and grease paint already! :P

As a teen I wondered what happened to the Mummers each New Years Day . . . because we had moved from Philly area when I was a kid, but my memories of the parade were quite fond. Decades later, I still miss them and appreciate these videos being shared.

Nothing "gay" (bad word choice, btw) about the Mummers, at any age, IMHO.
