I'm Wyatt Weed, and even though I worked on Kung Fu Rascals, I'm sure what I'm about to say will get ignored anyway...We (PMG and Steve Wang) are starting to work on a DVD re-release of KFR, with Steve's original cut, remastered and cleaned up, a decent transfer. There will be both a commentary and some new "Making of" interviews, in which you will see this Les Claypool clearly, and he will clear up the fact that he is the NOT the Primus frontman!

The new DVD will be out 3rd quarter of 2011.

Greetings. Les Claypool here. Not the one in Primus. That's me in the movie, not the Primus bassist. Wyatt Weed is correct as he also worked on the movie. I also did the music and sound fx and have been a close friend of director Steve Wang for years (how do you think I got that no paying job in the first place). Get this all the time. It's not Les Claypool from Primus/Frog Brigade. I have seen him with both bands, and briefly met him (shook his hand) after seeing him at McDonald Theater in Eugene in 2003. I definitely know what he looks like, and that's not him. I wonder if they are related, maybe?

OK - that IMDB reference explains it: disinformation strikes again. Les Claypool of Primus has mistakenly been given a credit on the IMDB for KFR instead of Les Claypool III. Now it makes sense. I always wonder how these crazy things get started. Either IMDB screwed up or the Claypools got their wires crossed on who's info was who's. These two should talk - or they are sitting back and laughing at all of us?

I co-starred in KFR and did the special effects for the movie, and I can say with total authority that this IS NOT the Les Claypool of Primus. This is the Les Claypool who does post production sound and is happily married to a sweet woman named Mary. Les and his wife also manage a sound stage in the North Hollywood/Sunland area of Los Angeles.

For the record, that is not Les Claypool of Primus. I know Steve Wang and have met the Les he's fighting. The "Sheriff" is actually Les Claypool III, a musician (like the Primus Les Claypool), a film composer, he owns an audio post production recoridng studio, and he's a long-time friend of Wang. This movie was made over 15 years ago, so he's older than Primus' Claypool, but they do look alike. However, I think the KFR's Claypool is a lot cuter.

That is Les Claypool without a doubt. He's friends with Steve Wang and composed all the music for the film. He also plays the guy in the video. All of the voices in the film were dubbed over, so I can't say for sure if that's actually his voice, but it's him.
