Slash is good but his slos just dont have the taste and shreading compaered to hammets level

I like Slash more his solos involve more skill.... His style is harder to play than Kirks, actually Kirk Hammett is the single most copied guitar style of all time because its not as hard to copy... Slash is a more skilled guitarist.

I was inspired to play guitar by slash then ended playing a lot of metallica and now i've gone to more skilled stuff and all I can conclude is... I hate Metallica, for several reasons, and Kirk, the only redeeming feature of Metallica, is still terrible in comparison to other guitarists I listen to in terms of technique, talent, musicianship etc.
On the other hand, I'm a huge Gun's n' Roses fan, While Slash isn't the best guitarist in the world I definitely put him ahead of Kirk, and as for his style, I prefer fiery and bluesy over Kirk's hit-any-note-you-can, do-some-scales-fast style.

Many people seem to forget the Paradise City solo. In my opinion, Slash's solo for that song is on par with any other player who boasts to play fast scales. That is all shredding is, scales. I believe Kirk is a quite amazing guitarist, one of the best in the world. However, I believe that often times Slash is overlooked. People are always bashing him for some reason :/

Many people seem to forget the Paradise City solo. In my opinion, Slash's solo for that song is on par with any other player who boasts to play fast scales. That is all shredding is, scales. I believe Kirk is a quite amazing guitarist, one of the best in the world. However, I believe that often times Slash is overlooked. People are always bashing him for some reason :/

Kirk sucks. What a big disappointment when i saw Metallica in concert. just about every mistake a guitarist can make Kirk did them all. And the overuse of the wah pedal was VERY annoying. I was a fan of his until i grew up and understood that mistakes on the guitar can be hidden by overuse of gain and wah. With Gain and wah...Anyone can sound good to the untrained ear.
